Local little deli for local people. But I don’t get it. They’re not open late, so what’s the convience of having one up the block anyway. Their deli food is basic and overpriced at that. They are friendly but that just doesn’t cut it for me. Yeah of course I pop in here on occasion cause I live down the block but I would never go out of my way for them. This place has been a deli since I was a little kid and management has changed frequently through the years. As long as they’re around I’ll stop in, but not with the regularity i used to back in the day.

Sweet little mom & pop deli. $ 2.50: 2 fried eggs, American cheese, salt & pepper on a toasted roll. The eggs are perfectly cooked, the cheese isn’t runny, the seasoning is just right, and the roll is not a boring doughy kaiser roll. Same price on a bagel, and they have whole wheat. Other good things: wide variety of soups(Hale & Hearty Soups), deli meats, chicken cutlets, roast beef. Their fridges work well, meaning the milk you buy there won’t spoil right away like a lot of delis. Maybe it’s hard to spend $ 30 at a deli but if you do, you get 10% off.
