This is the place. Located on a very busy intersection in Brooklyn. Call first to see if they have a particular tire in stock. Lew runs the show. He honestly cares for his customers. While having your new tires installed, go shopping in the many stores across the street, Petco is there.
You will always pay a fair price for tires and have them installed/​balanced with new valves as part of the purchase price. The employees are also friendly and work quickly. Happy workers do better work, this is evident at Hilna. So, if you need tires head to Hilna.

I brought my car in for a front wheel alignment this Tuesday afternoon. The Hilna staff turn out to be a hearty bunch of down-​to-​earth straight talking guys with a great sense of humor. They quickly and very precisely aligned the front end and charged a fair price. My car rides smooth again and I’m positive this is the place I’ll go to when necessary.

Great tire prices — almost half off what Volkswagen was going to charge me. Luckily, they didn’t have my tire in stock but recommended Hilna. Service was pretty quick and seamless.

I had originally wrote this place a positive review, after getting tires and an alignment at Hilna and getting a good deal. But I recently returned for another alignment, and I will never go back. In the process of aligning my vehicle, they cracked the aluminum steering column housing with the clamp that holds the steering wheel in place during alignment, and they refuse to acknowledge they damaged it, or deal with the repair. When I tried to talk to them about it, 5 guys jumped in to tell me I was wrong and my mechanic was an idiot. I’ve talked to two respected mechanics about it, and I am 100% certain Hilna destroyed my steering column, and put my life in danger. This is a $ 400 repair I now need, due to their negligence. Do not go here. They are morons who are louder than they are smart.

Speedy service and great prices for tires. Definitely a great local place to go for tires. TPMS was intact after installation of tires. Bravo! Bring cash since the cash price is discounted.

I had a good experience here. I got four brand new Goodyear Eagle tires for a really good price. The price included mounting and balancing. They also did a wheel alignment and I could really feel the difference in my car. All the work was done in the time frame given to me as well. These guys are a little rough around the edges but the work is good. If you want the best price in Brooklyn go to Hilna.

I’ve been going to Hilna for over 15 years and can’t say enough good things about the service. The owner Lou makes sure that his customers get the best deals on tires and has consistently gone out of his way to make sure that I drove out of Hilna with excellent service that didn’t break my bank account. I’ve been to Hilna primarily for tires and a little work here and there on three different cars that I have owned. The service is unparalleled and is easy to access in the heart of Brooklyn. What they lack in customer service they make up for in value, experience and honesty. I have never paid for anything I didn’t need and have even been talked out of buying more expensive tires. They are a Brooklyn fixture and the best place to get tires at a discount!

Tires are cheap, but I would rather drive to Pennsylvania to get any work done on my car than go to this place for the simple fact that they are a bunch of sub human savages who don’t know how to talk to their customers. Getting cursed out, disrespected, and treated as though I’m an idiot is not worth the inexpensive price of the tires. Go anywhere else to get any car work done, because everywhere is better than this place.

Keep it simple and come for tires. Can’t beat the price! Tire rack price is still more expensive when adding the shipping, mounting and disposal fee.

These guys saved me $ 100 more than any other place in New York and were a mere $ 24 more total than what
listed (and I didn’t have to pay and wait for them to be delivered!).
John helped me out, and he reminded me, as well, that they’ll do a rotation for $ 10 in 7k miles. If you need tires, this is a Brooklyn gem, but be sure to research which tires you want before you call them.

I ended up here one day when I went for a yearly car inspection elsewhere, only to find out I had 2 bald tires on the verge of a blowout. I was desperate to find a tire shop, and arrived here based on the recommendation of an auto parts store a couple neighborhoods over.
I was especially wary of being ripped off, showing up by myself in an auto place, but was never pressured into paying for any extra services or parts beyond what I needed. There seemed to be a couple father-​son duos working the shop, and plenty of returning customers. I got a great price on the tires, and was even recommended against replacing my tires with the same, overpriced ones. The tires were promptly changed, and they did the inspection as well.
The guy John was a great help and even wrote down for me when to return for a $ 10 tire rotation service. I’d definitely trust these guys to handle any future car issues honestly.
Be prepared to pay in cash and you’ll save yourself a couple bucks.

Came to them to get a flat tire replaced and have my wheels balanced. I prepaid for the tire and signed the contract for the sum of all the work. Next day I arrived and was told that the labor would cost an extra 70% per tire and that I should either pay the extra or get out. Even if this was an honest mistake on the labor quote, it is no way to treat a customer. I received no apology about the fact that I had a contract signed for the work to be performed. So I was basicly shoved the money in my face and told to leave so that they can rip someone else off. To me it was not even about the money, but the principle of them having the nerve to play such bait and switch technique. So I took the money and left. They simply don’t care about retaining customers, or simply trying to work it out in my case, but rather just the bottom line. I wont be coming to Hilna again and neither should you.
