We are a local Family business proudly celebrating our 40th anniversary of being in business. ossaaaa
At the Hoteikan Dojo we have Shotokan Karate, Judo and Jujitsu classes. We have taken the best of these arts and formulated a complete self-defense system that is capable of handling modern day situations. Our instructors are Certified Fitness professionals as well as some are Certified NYC Board of Ed Teachers. Our instructors are traditional in nature and progressive in application of technique. We choose quality over quantity, and those that train in the system will find the Hoteikan is not just school, it’s a family to all.
With in our school we also have Cardio Kickboxing, Zumba Fitness ® for kids and adults, and MMA Jungle Fitness. Whether you are looking to learn the arts, to improve the mind, body, or spirit. Hoteikan is a great place for you.
History
Established in 1974.
The Hoteikan System originated from Grandmaster Emilio Claudio and Bob Hasman. Both men joined the Arts of Shotokan Karate Judo and Japanese Jujitsu to make San Do Ichi Ryu Jujitsu meaning 3 styles 1 way. 1974 was the start of Hoteikan but each traditional style dates back 100’s of years. We still train the arts traditionally as well as together with modern knowledge and application of our time.
