Meet the Business Owner

Gerardo Siliceo G.

Business Owner

Gerardo was born in Mexico City, and through his life he has worked at several jewelry and Mexican art stores. He started in the business in 1987

in Cancun, Mexico. Although he works in different fields, he always likes doing business directly with people and having his own shop gives him that freedom.

He started in the United States by selling jewelry in a flea market

every weekend near his house. He did that for 5 years, selling leather

jewelry and sterling silver from Taxco, Mexico. Later on he incorporated

costume jewelry before opening his first shop.

When he spotted the current storefront he jumped at the opportunity to open his first shop. He opened the shop with the idea of selling items that he knew well — including Mexican art and jewelry, but also very unique hats (Grace hats from Tokyo, the top selling item in the store). He added scarves, gloves for the winter, and fine costume jewelry, and with that Image & Art was born.
