Ira E. Gronowitz DDS, founder of Bay Parkway Dental Associates, is a graduate of New York University School of Dental Medicine. He served in the U.S. Army Dental Corps., and he is a member of the American Dental Association of New York. Dr. Gronowitz serves on several local and charitable boards. Dr. Gronowitz continues to develop and learn new techniques and skills in order to maintain the highest level of care for his patients

The worst dental office you can ever come to. Completely incompetent staff and the Russian doctor is a crook. They’ll bill your insurance for procedures that they didn’t even perform. I’ve had an appointment twice, both scheduled on a Saturday where I couldn’t be seen. The first time being I was 17 minutes late, like really where is the grace period? The second time they told me they’ve made a mistake with the schedule. Completely disatisfying service. How a practice like this stays in business is way beyond belief. A bunch of crooked thieves. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. Also their work isn’t the greatest just saying! If you do decide to go to this place make sure you bring a bottle of advil along as this will probably be your wrist headache!

The staff is extremely friendly and they do their best.
However there is a revolving door of dentists.
My children were so uncomfortable here. (Ages 15, 13 and 4)
I’m a nervous patient and I don’t want them to feel the same way about dentistry. I’d like them to have a better experience.
I want a Dr. that makes their patients feel comfortable and listens to questions and asks them in return. My children felt like they were cattle. No connection. Not even have a good day.
I had a filling put in that was so uneven and done so quickly that it took weeks to feel normal.
My 15 year old was called a liar by the dentist that was working on her, because she said she had pain on work he had previously done.
He called me in to tell me that he could not continue to work on her if she wasn’t going to be truthful because her xrays didn’t show anything and that his work was perfect.
Upon taking her to an oral surgeon, he corrected what was wrong and she was pain free.
Never again.

Dr. Gronowitz’s employee Dr. Benjamin Selzer is unprofessional and incompetent. He strung me along for 2 years and in the end the work was not done. He insisted I not go through my insurance company for his services and talked me into taking out a loan thru CareCredit for $ 7,500. I paid the loan off in six months and both he and Ira Gronowitz got paid and I received nothing substantial in return. Selzer also committed Medicare FRAUD by submitting an insurance claim for work he never provided. I have a feeling it was not the first time he has done this. He now refuses to refund the total I paid. I would NOT recommend anyone to these dentists. Please stay far away.

The only pro to this office is that they are fast.
Is it even possible to get a sufficient cleaning done in 15 minutes (X-​rays are included in this timeframe, btw).
The dentist I saw was nice, but incredibly rough. I have never had a more painful cleaning in my life. I felt more comfortable getting tattooed than I did getting a cleaning from this man. He really hacked away at my gums, making me bleed. And not just a few little bit of blood. I had to swish with water a few times after the cleaning before all of the blood/​pieces of loose gums came out of my mouth.
24 hours later, and my gums are still sore and raw, and I cant still sear cuts in them.
RUN from this dentist.

Terrible unprofessional place !!! If i would not be that busy i would take that doctor to the court! The doctor on second floor infected my tooth, he opened my nerve and instead to do a root canal just put a filler. I end up in ER with a terrible pain. Thanks god i find a great dentist now who taking a proper care of me. Strong advise to stay away!

i will never go to this dental office again. had appointment yesterday for my son, his insurance for some reason was terminated. spent half hour on the phone trying to restore it but to no avail. I asked the front desk lady «how much for just cleaning out of pocket» $ 150? are you kidding me. they couldn’t do it for $ 50 as a courtesy? once my son insurance is restored, I am taking him to new dentist office. I only needed cleaning for my 9 year old son. x rays could have waited.

This place is such greedy filled placed with bloodsucking people. I don’t know why this people are allowed to have their business. I would never treat my customers this way, rude, unprofessional, prejudice and all about the expenses before even knowing whats wrong with me.

Take it from someone who has worked here for over a year, this place is a scam. I only stayed here for that long due to transitioning in jobs. Not being racist when I say this but they are the epitome of cheap Jews looking to get your every penny. When the owners wife outright said to me that «.even though they take the patients insurance (Medicaid — so obviously this person didn’t have the greatest insurance) we’re going to charge them $ 100 more than needed…» Also please look up Dr. Gronowitz before seeing him. He was sued years ago for medical malpractice
Not only are they scammers to their patients, but rude to their staff (I was included in this). I vomit a little each time I pass by this place and feel bad for those walking in and out of this office. Wish I can rate no stars.

Terrible to learn that after getting dental work and cleaning from this office, the dentist, left tarter below my gum lines, possibly causing loss of bone and other issues. Had I not moved out of state and found a new professional, who knows?

I’ve been seeing dr Schoenberg for years. He himself and dental assistants are very nice. As well as the girls at the desk on the 2nd fl. I am only reviewing this office now because it’s going on over 2 years now that I’ve been having issues with the billing dept. I’ve started getting charged for routine preventative check ups. No matter how many times I try to explain that my insurance fully covers this service they manage to bill my insurance for additional services and then try to bill me for deductibles in services I never received nor asked for. Today, donna, I believe her name was, had the nerve to shout at me for wasting her time and threatened to send my bill to collections. And proceeded to hang up the phone on me. The dentist is nice and I have been loyal this far, but the professionalism from the billing dept for the last 2 years has gone downhill. I don’t need another headache and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Positive energy — That’s what you find in the dentist office of Dr. Gronowitz!
I «inherited» him as my dentist when the one i had moved too far away, and it was the best thing that could’ve happened.
Dr Gronowitz has his own section in the «Dental Associates» office on the corner of 85th street and Bay Parkway in Brooklyn, he hires the best staff, who are always positive and remember who you are.
Wendy might be the nicest assistant i’ve ever met! Dr. Gronowitz keeps his employees happy with a laid back atmosphere that turns into a positive experience for you. He has the radio going and sings along to songs and tries to keep up with the latest trends, which is funny to follow.
He is honest, to the point and works fast which is always a good thing. I’m very happy to call him my dentist and i no longer dread going because i know it will always be a positive experience.
