Iryna Stepanchuk, CPA

Five stars doesn’t do justice. Iryna is an instrumental part of my business. She is detail oriented, ethical, conscientious, accurate, kind and patient. She explains what we are doing and why which is so appreciated as financials are not my strong suit.

I hired Ms. Stepanchuk after receiving an audit from the State. We have a complex tax return but I really like TurboTax, so that’s what I used, but our complexity is beyond what TurboTax can handle on the State level, it turns out!
Iryna prepared and filed, and helped us file, amended returns to correct the errors we made on all our returns. This is a little like doing your taxes all over again, and of course it’s stressful. It was great to have such a competent and friendly professional at our side to guide us.
I’ve hired a few CPAs in the past, I know what to look for, and I find Iryna to be outstanding. She is very fast, thorough, dedicated to excellence, honest and careful. We don’t mind paying taxes in our house but I want our returns to be correct.
I am not interested in any accountant who bends rules and takes chances to skim a few dollars off of tax obligations, because in our situation that’s a recipe for headache and IRS audits. She also has some expert friends that she can consult about obscure investment questions (we had one of those on our return).
The great advantage of a CPA is the depth and breadth of their expertise, and their license. This is always way better than an accountant without a CPA. Iryna’s professional fees are a good value as well. She saved us money on our taxes, which is great, but the important thing is that I think we’re well positioned to deal with any further audits by State, City or Federal agencies.
No more TurboTax for us :)

I’ve decided to call Iryna after I saw she is one of the few accountants who work with Freshbooks (among other methods).
We had a first meeting and she was very friendly and explains to us a lot of things that weren’t clear from past experiences with accountants. We’ve moved forward and hired her to be our accountant and I can tell you I feel much relief we did that.
She is very fast and very clear with her work and helps you understand all the processes. Having a good accountant for sure helps your business.
