J. H. Grocery Store

Living three minutes from this market I often come here to pick up a few ingredients I need for cooking. The market takes up two stores horizontally. The left side is the fish market and the right side sells veggies and dried produce. They have fruit stands outside. All their fruits and veggies are fresh. However do not buy milk from here. It was spoiled and tasted funny even though it hasn’t even come close to the expiration date yet. Their open fridge isn’t cold enough to store milk. Same goes for the meats. I bought pork and it stinks so bad when I got home. Some ham and sausages in their fridge was expired over a year. Clearly no one cleaned out and restocked their shelves.

I’m surprised that one in the neighborhood reviewed this grocery yet. This is essentially a Chinese market with occasional Japanese and a little American food here and there. It’s not a big market like «fei long», but it has enough variety and getting popular amongst the neighbors. They don’t have their time listed but it seems to be around 9−8pm.
This is one of those stores where they sell vegetables that may be rotting at a low price, which I think is good considering how bad the economy is. They also accept EBT, pretty sure they do.
