ok– BESTJERKCHICKENEVER. To be honest that’s the only thing I’ve tried on the menu because I am THAT obsessed with it(but the fried chicken does look good behind the glass). Oh and their homemade tamarind sauce is amazing too, real serious hot. This is a no frills place with limited seating and a glass walled-in counter, so I always take away. I’m thinking this is a family run business and they know exactly what they are doing.

Ordered online and wow… wasn’t expecting much from this place based on some of the reviews that I seen– The food was okay. I order the Curry goat meat was soft and tender, veggies was good(steamed cabbage). _food came in a at the time stated on grub hub !! Overall it was an okay experience!

The food is good but every time I order they call me back to tell me they don’t have what I ordered. Literally every time. I’ll be ordering somewhere else.

Ate her a couple of times and this has been by far the worse experience ever! I specifically called to ask about the«just fried shrimp lunch»…If it says lunch would you assume it just shrimp. The argued with me that this is a side order but it isn’t under the side order list. Why would you say fried shrimp lunch if it doesn’t come with anything? I am truly annoyed. Who would buy shrimp for $ 9 for 8 pieces… how is that lunch??? I will not be ordering form here neither will my co workers, especially since they didn’t even budge to rectify the situation. Plus, food is just OK not Great… wish i worked near Flatbush so i could have some real Jamaican cuisine. plus the half/half taste like pure lemon juice… smh

This is one of those places where every single time I order from them, they call back saying there is a problem with the order. They run out of food, they don’t have delivery that night on and on. It’s happened 4 times now and I’m done trying to order their food. And what they don’t seem to get is when you order via Grubhub, the money doesn’t just reappear in your account immediately and you can spend it somewhere else. So buyer beware if you’re on your last 20. Good luck to those who attempt to get dinner from here. Whatever, I’m out.

NEVEREVEREVERORDERFROMTHISPLACE!!! The absolute worst delivery experience ever. First they called because they didn’t have items I ordered. Secondly, the delivery took over 2 and a half hours but the worst part of the horrible experience was the delivery man. He refused to come to door even after I explained I was caring for a handicap relative, cursed at me over the phone and rudely told me to cancel my order before hanging up on me. More importantly the restaurant did not care or seem to have any authority over the delivery man. When I called restaurant to complain they said he had already returned and had no one else to deliver. I’m not a complainer but I strongly suggest you order from anywhere else– Buff Patty, Gloria’s, Taylormade, even Golden Crust, whatever. JUSTDONTORDERFROMHERE!!! If I could give negative stars, I would.

This place is behh. The food is mediocre. Jerk chicken is actually dry/grilled chicken and they give you jerk sauce in a container that you’d have to put on the chicken yourself for it to official be «Jerk Chicken». I may also add that the«Jerk chicken» is extremely dry. The rice, mac-n-cheese is also very tasteless. Everything just taste thawed out from being frozen or was in their fridge for dayssss. The only edible thing i have ever eaten there are the hot wings. Which you can get at one of those Crown chicken shacks. The staff is also very moody. Never a smile, hello, or thank you. Go elsewhere, as there are many in the area. An extra 5 minute walk will be worth it.

Delivery toke a while but it was worth the wait. I ordered the curry goat, bake and salt fish and the jerk chicken dinner. Food was really warm, flavorful and fresh. Literally, tastes like it was made with love. Portions were really good. It was my second time ordering from the Jamacia grill and it won’t be my last!

Best Jamaican spot in Bed Stuy! It’s a bold statement but after trying MANY places in this Caribbean neighborhood both me and my husband agrees that this is the place with the highest quality food. The jerk chicken with rice and peas cooked is to perfection. The potato salad is delish! Even though the place doesn’t really look like it has great food, don’t let that scare you away! The owner is very friendly as well.

In the Caribbean most of the food shacks are located by the road and there you can find the authentic Caribbean food. This is my go to place when I am in the mood for Jamaica food with a nice kick of spices and jerk. The brown stew snapper is my absolute favorite and the chicken and beef patties are a must have. If you order takeout expect a wait BECUSE their food is in demand and they can’t deliver everyone’s food as they have many prior orders. Come enjoy some Caribbean Limeade and Sorrell along with some good Vibez!

Phone Ordered Large Oxtails-peas and rice/cabbage and side of Callaloo-some of the BEST carribean food I have EVER tasted!!!(And I live in Bklyn-wk in the heart of East Flatbush-tried them ALL!!!) Food was soooooo flavorful– and generous portions! When I brought leftovers home — my picky teenage daughter had only one word-«SCRUMPTIOUS! !!“Food was so good I HAD to write a review to let them and others know(and I don’t usually bother). I also know for a FACT that the have celebrity repeat clients –who have a thing for their Jerk Chicken!!!

First of all i tried to order via grub hub they called me back 5 min later saying they didn’t have 3 of the items ordered. Ok fine — so they get to my apt an hour later and my stew chicken and rice and peas is aaaaaight. The delivery guy didn’t have enough change to refund me 2 of the items they ran out of. I just let him keep it but that was the icing on the cake. Never again! I need my people to do better, le sigh.

I went back yesterday to try the jerk chicken I had smelled on Ash Wednesday. This time, they were out of the callaloo, so I got the cabbage instead with a medium sized chicken order. Note that there is a $ 10 minimum for debit cards… I ended up adding a small side of rice & peas, which brought it to $ 10. The owner is very friendly and studying to be a health coach. This explains why the chicken came nicely grilled and skinless, with BBQ and jerk sauces on the side. Calories were sacrificed. But thankfully, flavor did not disappoint. Neither were the cabbage and rice oily or oversalted. And every bite of that chicken was juicy, except for the delightfully crisp grilled edges. I can forgive the being out of callaloo, because it was the best I’d ever had and undoubtedly very popular. It’s a small place, which can probably only make so much at a time.

This place is great. It is my go to for Jerk Chicken, but everything they make is good. Ask for extra sauces. They have a variety. Cock soup, ox tail, stewed chicken… I recommend calling on the phone to place an order instead of using the web site. Actually, I usually just show up and ask them what they have ready. Everything is good.

Absolutely the most horrendous Jamaican food I have ever tried. I’ve been to Jamaica many times and real Jamaican food is very potent with bold flavors and spices. All of the food here is bland, limp, dry, and near inedible. In addition, the one time I ordered delivery from these people, the most psychotic Caribbean delivery man came to my door. I was injured from playing football, so I explicitly put in the delivery instructions that I needed them to buzz and come up and deliver the food like they do pretty much EVERYWHERE else in the United States. When the guy got here, he buzzed, I answered and he said with an attitude out of nowhere, «food delivery» in an exceptionally dry and irritated tone. I disregarded it and buzzed him up like anyone would do to any delivery man. Instead of coming up, he buzzed me again. I’m thinking, «that’s weird, maybe he didn’t catch the door.» So I buzzed again. He continues buzzing like a madman. I buzz again and still he continues to buzz. I say, «look man I keep buzzing you in you got to open the door» and he screams«I’M NOTCOMINGINTHEBUILDINGYOUHAVETOCOMEDOWN!!!» I said calmly, «Uh sir could you please complete the delivery because I’m injured and can’t come down right now.» He said, «Did you tell the damn restaurant that?!» I said, «Yeah it’s on the delivery instructions right in front of you.» Then I proceeded to call the restaurant to get my refund. While I’m trying to talk to Dawn to get my refund, we can’t even concentrate on our conversation because this insane delivery man keeps buzzing my apartment repeatedly in a long and antagonistic way. He didn’t just keep buzzing my apartment for the next 20 minutes, he buzzed every apartment in my building repeatedly making my quiet brooklyn apartment building into an obnoxious cacophony of childish game playing by a full grown man who works for this restaurant. The worst part was the woman on the phone, Dawn, refused to acknowledge that this man causing all this noise was being obnoxious and rude. She kept claiming he didn’t know I was injured and I kept telling her I told him already and he was extremely rude and now he’s going crazy, I might call the police if he keeps this up. She ended up telling me to call grub hub if I want a refund because she doesn’t want to give it to me. No apology, no ownership of the incident, nothing. She was just another child like the delivery man who was playing games with the buttons downstairs. If you run a restaurant and want the restaurant to gain respect among its neighbors, maybe you shouldn’t terrorize them and treat them like garbage. I pay a good tip and am paying for delivery and all I’m asking is that they actually complete the delivery and that’s too much for them to do? Why should I come downstairs and meet them halfway? Am I working for them? Am I getting tipped to make a delivery? No. I order delivery because I can’t or don’t feel like going out so it’s their job to bring the food to me and to not harass their customers. The food is terrible, but the service is record-breaking and earth-shattering awful. Don’t let this place with their bland food and abusive service deter you from trying Jamaican food. Most Jamaican food is spectacular and I’ve never met any Caribbean establishment ever with such angry, socially inept employees. These people are disgruntled and furious on the inside for some reason, but that’s on them to figure out. Meanwhile, I’ll never eat at this, the worst restaurant in New York City ever again.

I was expecting at least decent. The delivery was quick but I ordered a vegetable roti which had little flavor or spice. Maybe I’m just used to roti from Ali’s which are filled with curried chickpeas and potatoes, but this lacked everything. I also ordered the red velvet cake which is pretty average to forgettable. I haven’t tried any of the dishes that contain meat, so maybe they are better but based on what I had, it’s not worth it.

i would have given this place 4 stars BUT… They delivered my food only to tell me that the mac & cheese and plantains that came with my meal… they didn’t have any more of. So they gave me cabbage. If I wanted cabbage I would have ordered cabbage. And it’s supposed to come with 2 sides so where was my 2nd unwarranted side? They should have called me to let me know they didn’t have these sides left and given me the choice of my options. I’m not very happy with that at all. I was really looking forward to some plantains too. UGH Delivery was fast though.

Booo! i do not see what everyone else sees in this place. this food was one of the most flavorless dishes me and my boyfriend had. I;ve had curry and jerk chicken before and that WASNOT it. It was a hit and miss. It tasted like it was just seasoning siting on top of the meat and everything else was bland. and another thing. i know it happens because i’ve dealt with food service, but i was so annoyed when they told me that they were out of their red velvet cake. On top of that they told me they were out of beef patties. Like WHATDOYOUHAVE? why did i have to settle for every thing i wanted to order? by bike, we were Like less than 10 minutes away from the store so i don’t know why it took almost 2 hours to get our food. NEXT!

Honestly, the food is decent. I’ve had the Coconut Curry Shrimp and the Jerk Shrimp and they were not bad at all. But save yourself the trouble and DONOT order food for delivery. Imagine this– its rainy, you are laying in bed and you don’t want to leave your house. You start getting hungry. You order some food from Jamaican Grill and you wait. 30 mins, 45 mins, 1 hour. You call them again. Where is my order? I’ll send it to you in ten mins. Okay, another twenty mins passes, 40 mins, 1 hour! Two hours, yes I said it two hours and no food. I understand that it was rainy so it would take a little longer than usual, but two hours is unacceptable. What’s a girl to do at this point? Frustration sets in and I have no choice but to cancel and dream about what could have been. Damn you Jamaican Grill.
