I read all the reviews on Unilocal and since I’m close by I decided too give it a try. The Staff is sweet, kind and understanding they made the food to how I like it which is great. I ordered the Hot & Sour Soup(great), Scallion Pancakes in very light oil(Great) and Shrimp Singapore Mei Fun(Great) all vegetarian. The flavors are really good and the place is clean they got an(A) rating. Their should be more places like this. Very healthy I don’t feel guilty about what I ate. Keep up the good work and people go give them a try. I put up pics of what I had, hopefully it’s helpful.

(This review is for their vegetarian options only) I’ve eaten here a million times now. Me and my family usually place our order and go pick it up since it’s faster than their delivery since we live kind of far. Since my last review some new people have taken over and it took them awhile to work out the kinks. When I call to place an order they now know who I am just by me ordering a tofu vegetable soup. The counter girl is really friendly and it seems that they do try their best even when swamped with phone calls. They have a nice seating area but I do not recommend you eat here during the week on after school hours. After school hours, the place is filled with high schoolers who are loud, messy and disrespectful. They trash the place, have broken tables and chairs and the floor, tables, door and the sidewalk out front becomes plastered with ketchup and hot sauce from the abundance of french fries the kids order after school. Place your order by phone… then go pick it up. It’s much faster. It’s super amazing and nice to have a Chinese restaurant with vegetarian options. They also have a «A» rating from the health department. If you’re going to eat take-out grub I highly recommend this place.

Great Chinese food, and awesome vegetarian menu! As someone who is trying to cut meat out of my diet, this place is exactly what I need in the neighborhood. I recently moved to the Mill Basin area, and I find the lack of good restaurants disappointing. But JCF is one of the few amazing places that I visit at least once a week. I have had both meat and meatless dishes here, and both are great! The mango«chicken» is awesome and the general tsos«chicken» is out of this world. Best steamed shrimp and veggie dumplings I’ve ever had. Good wonton soup, both meat and vegetarian. Their fried rice is not the best and the lo mein is a hit or miss. They are very friendly and while a little pricier than most Chinese take out places, the ingredients are always fresh and the food is not greasy. The Vegetarian menu is extensive and anything I have tried, has been spectacular!

I’ve never eaten in but I’ve had delivery a few times. The very first time I was very satisfied. The food was good and they made sure my order was right. That changed, after about the 3rd time getting a delivery. At first it was maybe the ketchup they forgot on my fries, maybe next time they sent me the wrong chicken. But my last delivery was at an all time low and i will NEVER order from this place again. First off they girl that they have answering the phone has no business even talking to customers! She’s slow, confused and sounds like she has no idea what they even serve. I had to repeat my order 5 times then when i asked to speak w/someone else she said no. Finally after being on the phone almost 10 min she took my order and my CC #. 1hr later my delivery finally arrived. First problem, no credit card slip. She forgot to ring in as a credit card, next problem, they forgot my 2 iced teas but they charged me for them. The food was horrible, cold and tasted of nothing. But the icing on the cake was i tried calling them to complain and they either didn’t pick up or picked up and kept hanging up on me. Be warned, STAYAWAY from this place. It’s not worth your aggrivation!

Whether I’m eating in or taking out, JCF does it right. The vegetarian section of the menu is extensive, with very fresh veggies, soy and seitan«meats» and tasty sauces. And it’s unique for this area of Brooklyn! There’s also everything else that Chinese restaurants usually have, so our vegan and omnivore family members are all happy. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly, the kitchen turns out food fast, and for all this the prices aren’t even higher than anywhere else. Plus, it’s in a tiny strip mall so it has a parking lot. JCF is a keeper.

I love the fact that they have a good extended variety of vegetarian dishes for me AND they also have the usual Chinese food(with real meal) for my husband. The veggie dish was great but a little pricey, since it’s only vegetables. Hubby’s regular chicken with broccoli was good as well. I like the fact that they have brown rice as a choice for free. Besides the vegetarian dishes are a little over price; everything seems great. Clean and open eating area with a couple of tables. I wish they do not use as much MSGs, because We both felt the aftermath. Overall, I am glad that I found this JCF place that offers good vegetable dishes as selections in Brooklyn.

very impressive selection of vegetarian food. the menu had at least 30 vegetarian dishes. The portions are colossal one portion of takeout is enough for 2 or 3 people the staff were nice and gave me a drink while i waited for my order. The food was very good.

This area doesn’t have many vegetarian places so, as a vegetarian, I was excited to see this place and gave it a try! The people that work here are really friendly and the food is good! Not too expensive and they give you this delicious fruit drink for free! So yummy!

I was pleasantly surprised to find a vegetarian restaurant in a very non-vegetarian portion of Brooklyn. Their menu is extremely extensive and almost every dish has a vegetarian option where a vegetarian substitute is used in place of the meat. The service is great, possibly due to the fact that not very many people seem to frequent the restaurant. They have free ice tea and lemonade that they serve as drinks, and will make individual portions of soups based on whether you want the vegan or vegetarian option. It seems to be a family owned restaurant and it looks like they’re trying to train their son to take orders. Be prepared to be patient if that’s the case, because he’s a little incompetent.
