Jeff offers private music lessons in saxophone, piano, guitar, flute, clarinet, jazz improvisation, theory, composition, and music production. Classes are held in the student’s home, in Jeff’s Brooklyn studio, or online via Skype.

Jeff has over 12 years of experience working with kids as young as 3 and adults as old as 60. All skill levels are welcome, and all styles of music are encouraged including jazz, classical, pop, rock, blues, etc.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Music degree from New England Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music degree from UMASS, Amherst. He is also an Educational Partner with Steinway & Sons.

Always striving for a positive learning environment and fast results, Jeff loves nothing more than to see his students gain confidence in their musical abilities at a rapid pace and go on to shine with instrument in hand.

Business Owner

Composer and multi-​instrumentalist Jeff Schneider is a DownBeat Magazine award winner and three-​time recipient of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award. His music is featured in films and advertisements by CNN, Visa, Intel, Citigroup, Benjamin Moore, Estée Lauder, Donna Karan, Ermenegildo Zegna, Ferrari, and many more.

A graduate of New England Conservatory of Music (’09), Jeff also holds a Master of Music degree in Jazz Composition and Arranging from UMASS Amherst (’13). His teachers over the years include Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, John McNeil, Bob Moses, Frank Carlberg, Jerry Leake, Allan Chase, Will Vinson, Felipe Salles, Jeff Holmes, and the late, great Charlie Banacos.

Now based in New York City, Jeff continues to promote his own music in addition to composing for commercial projects. He also maintains a thriving teaching studio online and in the New York metropolitan area and is an Educational Partner with Steinway & Sons.
