Random spot me and my girlfriend would have past on a regular night. We came here after a jazz show around the corer at a soulfood restaurant. We didn’t want to venture into the city so we decided to go to Jelani’s. One of the band members suggested it.
We walk into a dead room. the music was great though. Ol’ school reggae. «The sadest day of my life is when she left me with a broken…» Catch my drift. We were the only females there but decided to stay because a man came up to us and said the drinks were really good.
The bar manager gave us a round on her and by the time we looked up, the place was jumping. It wasn’t too crowded but just enough people. Cool ass vibe. Battle dancing (I always enjoy watching) just a chill spot.
I’m not sure if we lucked out that night but we had a great time there. I would check it out again if i was in BK.
