Jo Juice

This review is only for the salads because I haven’t gotten anything else here. They’re great! I get the small salad for lunch, which comes with your choice of greens, 4 veggies, 1 protein, 1 fruit, and 1 grain. I always get the spring mix + arugula with veggies and grilled chicken. It’s a big salad and keeps me full until dinner. It’s basically the same price as a bodega salad, but so much healthier because of the greens. My bodega only has regular lettuce. The balsamic vinaigrette is good too, and the guy working always asks for how much I want on the salad. The service is quick and super friendly as well! It’s never too crowded so the most I’ve had to wait was like 3 minutes. A lot of people seem to come in for smoothies and wheatgrass, kale, etc. shots, so those are probably good too. It’s clean, bright, and a great spot overall!

This place is great. All the juices and smoothies are especially thoughtful blends, interesting mixes and delicious and nutritious problem solvers. And they have a nice selection of healthy salads and bowls too. Jo himself seems like a really nice guy. And it’s right near the YMCA, and the Bedford-​Nostrand train stop, very convenient. Just love this little neighborhood spot.

SO FREAKING GOOD!!! I got the cantaloupe, watermelon and pineapple smoothie, and I’m meaning to go back again and get another. I also ordered the entertainment chopped salad and it was top notch as well. I would recommend to anyone that wants to get a fresh and super tasty smoothie to come here!

I’ve been going to this places for months because their smoothies and salads are a very good (just a little overpriced). I love supporting local business and I hate doing this but I’m giving them 2 star because of the unforgivable customer service. Every time I used to go there I received this kind of attitude It seemed that the guy was always upset about something and I used to think «ok he’s having a bad day, it’s not a big deal I’ll be nice to him and next time he’ll treat me better». But then one day he went way too far on his rudeness when I asked a simple question about their smoothies promotion card. I’ve been out of the city for to long and my card was old and I asked him if it was still useful then he got angry and told me that it didn’t make sense that I was asking such thing (???) that in his «logical mind» questions must make sense and it was obvious that the card was still useful.
So I’m tired from this place and I’m definitely not coming back. Treat people well means a lot to me and it doesn’t seems it’s about having a bad day.

2 stars for the service, 3 stars for the drink/​bowl I got.
The man took a VERY long time to make my order. The person who ordered at least 4 minutes after me got her drink first.
I’m a huge fan of supporting local businesses and I love a good juice/​smoothie bar, but the service here was subpar. Neither of the men working were friendly and for me, that was enough to know I won’t be taking my money here.
One thing about this place is that it has potential to be great but there are WAY too many options on the menu, so many that the person making mine wasn’t even sure what was in it (hence, the reason it took so long). They need to narrow down the list because it’s way too overwhelming.

Tried to get a diy juice and the guy tried to charge me extra for wanting a heavier dose of ginger. If you put more of one thing in a juice you have less of another, so it bullshit to charge more. I’ve never been to a juice place that did this and won’t spend my money at a place that does.

This place is truly great…
The juices, smoothies and salads are all top notch!
I go there almost everyday… It you want a treat I recommend the peanut butter Jo! It’s better than any milkshake :)

Jo Juice is amazing. Inexpensive and tasty fresh fruit juices and smoothies. I haven’t used their salad bar yet, however I have tried their soy chicken and soy fish patties. The patties would make you think you are eating the real thing.
If you plan on drinking here often I suggest getting one of the packages

This place is awesome!!! The drinks are DELICIOUS — well priced and the staff is friendly!!! Their menu is HUGE with such a great variety of juices and smoothies. Keep in mind that they open at 8:30 AM Monday through Saturday — NOT 7 as Unilocal indicates!

The «large» Salad is tiny. Barely any ingredients. My romaine salad is yellow. These folks need to do their research. This salad cost me $ 9!!! The owner doesn’t even know what Just Salad or Chop’t is… And had the nerve to ask if I live here. LMFAO! Also, if you need a juice the fruits are not fresh. Let try again guys — from #ANativeNYer

I always come here, this place is right around the corner from me, everything is all natural, the place is spotless, the guys at the counter are friendly the smoothies are great !!

Been trying to get ready for the summer so I Started going here before the gym, after a week a tried their green mile package. Very great juices. Lost 15 lbs going there religiously. Great people in there.

Came across this place on the way to somewhere else… Nice little spot. They have a great little salad bar and some great pre/​post work out smoothies. Such a large selection of choice. The older black guy was extremely friendly… But I tend to find most people are when they hear my accent (English) will be going back here again.

Great juicing in bed STUY a great establishment great bunch of guys whom work here. Juice for life I always say my fav is the Carrot spinach apple drink

So much praise over this place, but the smoothy I got was very tasteless $ 8 and took around 20 minutes from the time I got in the door until I left. Guy working was nice, but wish they had a faster system.

Now I’m not one to think, man I really want an excellent smoothie, but I was having a moment and decided this was the day for one. So as I’m sitting in my room I use my handy dandy Unilocal app to find out what is around. This is how I find Jo Juice. I walk the few blocks over and my first reaction was man it’s hot in here, they had no ac. I order a mango strawberry smoothie, and guess what they use real fresh fruit!!! My smoothie was ultra tasty and perfect in every way. I could have had 20 of them. The man working was very friendly and the décor was very cute. If you live in the neighborhood and haven’t been here you are missing out big time!

The best juice bar in Brooklyn great menu wonderful service and who wouldn’t want to sit in a place that smells like nothing but fruits! Must try … #6 summer blend coconut pineapple and mango (faaave)
