Through chiropractic, acupuncture and massage therapy we help our clients overcome pain and alleviate stress. Our Health Coach offers nutritional counseling, and cooking demonstrations for those clients looking to lose weight or learn about nutrition for any number of health reasons.

History

Established in 2013.

Dr John Iozzio has had his chiropractic business in this Park Slope brownstone for many years. John Duffy, LMT has been practicing in NYC for the last 15+ years. As good friends, it was natural that they would come together to offer chair massage, as well as table massage to Dr. Iozzio’s acupuncture and chiropractic practice. Since nutrition is a main concern of many of their patients, health coaching, and cooking demonstrations are offered as well.

Solving problems with fewer visits by providing care only when you need or want it, only where you need it and only when it helps. Using a complementary approach that incorporates manual therapy techniques with varied acupuncture needling styles, John successfully helps his clients resolve their health and performance challenges, in the shortest amount of time.

Dr Iozzio Is fabulous. I’ve been to many chiropractors, who do a 5 minute cracky-​back and that’ll be $ 70 bucks. Not Iozzio. Instead, Iozzio takes his time in diagnosing the issue and brings a broad range of skilful approaches to make you feel better. Both times I’ve visited him, he has not only done adjustments but also done a bit of massage and some acupuncture. I have a fractured neck and multiple back pains, plus carpal tunnel. Sometimes his treatments are mildly uncomfortable as he does them but he’s expert at figuring out how to release pain and knots and then I leave feeling like a new person.

Got my hip and shoulder (which was poppin) back in place. Easy to get appointments and really has the knowledge to mix chiropractic and acupuncture. His knowledge goes way beyond both and the set o exercises he recommended have helped immensely. He has helped with stress headaches and sinus blockage, a quick neck twist and I can breath again.
Only once was the office so busy that I had to wait more then 20 minutes. I suggest you look at the «unrecommended reviews» link at the bottom of the page. Unilocal has a strange way of examining reviews methinks.
The session is not pain free and I almost always have a small recovery day to feel everything aligning, but its all good. and works out.

I went to see Dr. I for the first time right after getting doored on my bicycle. I took the entire crash on my left shoulder. I don’t know what I would have done without him.
After he looked me over to see how I move and hold my body, he used various homeopathic techniques including acupuncture, massage and made some adjustments. He gave me some exercises to help build my strength back and I walked out of his office feeling the best I had felt in a long time. I’ve been back to see him a few times as we work on my shoulder. Last time I explained how I have to push the tendon in before doing the exercises so he used cupping therapy and it really helped. This is how medicine is supposed to work.
Dr. I is very attentive and is always asking if I’m okay while he’s working on me. I have a really high tolerance for pain (skater and cyclist) and had no idea that I could feel so good. I always leave his office feeling euphoric.

After reading all the great reviews, decided to try him out. I came out with more pain than when I had started. His acupuncture treatment caused so much pain that I was left me with bruises all over various parts of my body and worst of all I could barely walk after each acupuncture treatment. When I told him about the pain/​bruises, he just chalked it up to me being sensitive.
His chiropractic skills also left very little to desired for, since that was not helpful as well. He didn’t even look at my xrays, instead he just started adjusting me. This was a bad sign from the beginning.
After two months of treatment and exorbitant insurance claims, I went to another chiropractor. (Warning: he double bills the acupuncture treatments separate from chiropractic treatments).

I just have to say that Dr. John is amazing. I was in pain for almost a year and didn’t know exactly what my problem was. i tried to work out or get massaged, and even went to an acupuncturist and nothing worked. Dr john just asked me what parts of my body hurt and he knew already where the problem was. i felt so good the very next day and even felt like going out to exercise. i just went one session and I felt almost 100% cured. thank you very much John.“muchas gracias”…lol…

One of the kindest human souls I’ve ever met! Extremely smart guy, Awesome place, and the acupuncture actually worked. After seeing over 6 specialist doctors and nobody helped. Dr John iozzio’s acupuncture helped more than any prescription given to me ever!
Worth every penny!

Extremely knowledgeable and competent chiropractor and acupuncturist. The second floor is a full physical therapy unit. He has treated my torn rotator cuff, sinus problems, headaches, muscle and tendon problems. you always walk out feeling better then you went in. His suggested exercises have helped me regain full movement in my arm I can lift things again!
He is by appointment only but often will fit you in the same day if you have a severe problem.
In talking to him the depth of his knowledge and learnings, and his ability to impart it to you so you can understand it, is amazing. He has become, in essence, my primary care physician.

I started seeing Dr. Iozzio 20 years ago with a bad case of computer hands. His synthesis of chiropractic and acupuncture, and deep knowledge of various other modalities such as physical therapy allows him to pinpoint his approach to whatever you walk in with, making it specific to your body, your injury. I’ve continued to see him over the years for everything from pulled muscles to insomnia, even the common cold. He lets his patients set their schedule, and doesn’t expect you to come in 3x a week unless you really want and need to.

After breaking my foot, I needed extensive physical therapy and treatments for my foot — and later my back and hip due to my altered gait. Dr. Iozzio is fabulous — it’s rare (and great) to find a chiropractor who also does acupuncture. He is extremely personable, easy to make appointments with and has definitely put me back on the road to wellness.

Dr. Iozzio is the best of two worlds, a chiropractor that also does accupuncture, so he can release those knotted muscles and straighten out your spine while using the needles to ping the pain away. He has the healing hands of a shaman! I have been treated by Dr. ioozio several times in the past decade for various pains — back, hip, pain caused by physical therapy; and have never left his office without feeling better. He is also attentive, caring, and really knows his stuff. It is very easy to schedule appointments short term, a necessity with my shifting schedule. His fees are very reasonable and he is also very generous to uninsured patients.
