Juice from the Raw

I’ve never been to the location. I absolutely hate juicing so I ordered this from Groupon. On the site you choose a delivery date. It came as expected. The packaging was cool. It was like a disposal cooler and all of the juices were frozen. I was impressed. I got the Believer Cleanse which included Detox Greens, Cashew Milk, 2 Sweet Greens, Spicy Lemonade, and Pineapple Mint. Taste pretty good. If you’re not used to juicing, you will get used to it after the second day. By the third day I had energy. I will be buying again in the future… And those three days I lost close to 8 lbs.

I ordered some juices from them from groupon. They came next day frozen and I have to say for the typical juices I have tried these actually taste really good. If you are a first time juicer I do recommend this place. The sweet greens were really hard but for the most part I think I’d def try this place again.

My first cleanse was a success not much weight lost but my stomach seems flatter. I feel great and energized my first day eating again I missed the juice I need more coconut fusion! I want to know if I can buy singles juices any market store whole foods did not have this juice brand :(

I am a AVID juicer and wanted to try this company for convenience and price. Well, my juices were spoiled and undrinkable. I called and emailed the company many times. The response was unpleasant at best. No refunds, is the response I got. I know several other people, who ordered the same time as me and has same issues. I was so looking forward to my monthly cleanse with a reputable company. I guess, I will have to find that company some where else.
Beware! You get what you pay for and NO customer service. I am not out to cheat anyone. I just wanted what I paid for any a quick resolution. I guess a credit card complaint is in order. It’s sad, that customer service is non existent.

Total rip off… mostly apple juice. If you look close they don’t even press the juice (look on back of bottle). It’s distributed thru a 3^rd party called everpress. Basically they own a web site and a computer. I’ve actually asked my local juice place. They can provide the same thing with less apple juice and more beneficial fruits and vegetables. What a joke. You fooled me once. Also make sure if you are ordering thru a Web site that they process and ship, and not source out.

I have order juice from the raw and I am I very happy with it. I have made two orders previously and loved all the juices.
I’ve read that doing a 3 day cleanse would help you lose weight, even friends told me, i never lost any weight. I am not sure why i never did but i still like taking the juices and the way i feel after the 3^rd day. I am getting ready to place my 3^rd order and hopefully this time works.
My favorite is the coconut fusion. I have not being able to find that coconut flavor anywhere else. I love it.

We love their fruit. We shop there bi weekly. I follow a mostly raw vegan diet and there’s something about his fruit. I don’t believe in juice cleanse and his juices are good. But eating fruit is the same thing as drinking it. So I saw. Eat a raw diet is no different then drinking it. You get more vitamins. Anyways. We’ve exclusively buy his fruit as it is the best in Brooklyn. Pricey yes, but his fruit last twice as long then when we get it from Cosco let’s say. They are very passionate about what they buy. Talk to them. They will tell you what is best.

I did the «Whenever Cleanse.» It was my first juice cleanse and I mostly did it because I was curious about what would actually happen to me during the cleanse, and because my friend swears by it.
Well, it was torture, and I certainly didn’t feel any better during or after it. I didn’t believe that it was actually going to «cleanse» me but I had read that it gives you more energy and makes you feel «lighter». None of that happened to me. I just felt hungry and miserable.
I am now convinced that these «juice cleanses» are 100% scams.
However, I still give them three stars.
–Their customer service was excellent.
–The juices arrived promptly and were packaged very well.
–The juices were delicious. I actually wish they sold the juices in packs separately because I would definitely purchase the Spicy Lemonade and the Piney Apple Nut one.
–The bottles are pretty and are able to be reused.
–I had a discount code, so my total, with shipping, was just about $ 100. VERY good price for all of the juice that you actually get.
Give it a try if you want. It’s an interesting experience. Just know that it does NOT cleanse anything out of your body. It’s all mental. My other advice would be to do it mid-​week if you’re going to do it. I stupidly started on a Wednesday, so when happy hour came on Friday and I had to drink my beet juice instead of a neat Bourbon, well, that sucked.
Oh also, the drinks are VERY sweet, except for the Spicy Lemonade one. If you don’t like sweets, then I wouldn’t recommend these.

My first time purchasing from here through a Living Social deal. It was $ 105 for 3 days with shipping costs. I did a lot of research and it’s the best price I have found for a juice cleanse. It was delivered to California with zero glitches. Juices were tasty (Coconut Fusion was my favorite) and I was able to do the 3-​day Whenever Cleanse without a struggle. Only con was that Living Social lists this an organic juice cleanse, but they only use organic products «when available.» I would definitely order again!

I am currently on my second cleanse with Juice from the Raw. Both times I have done the «Whenever» cleanse, and both times I ordered from a Groupon (only $ 89!). While I have never tried any other cleanses, I know from comparison that this one is much cheaper, and I feel good knowing I’m purchasing from a family-​owned press right here in Brooklyn. As far as ordering goes, both times the juices have arrived on my doorstep right on schedule. I put 6 in the refrigerator at a time to thaw over night, and they are all ready for the next day. Easy and delicious!
I normally eat pretty healthy, so I didn’t struggle too much with the cleanses. I actually felt they gave me much more energy. I woke up without having to hit the snooze button and without feeling groggy, plus I didn’t get that 3 pm crash I normally get after lunch. I do recommend doing this cleanse during the week, as it’s a lot easier to avoid temptation when at work. I only wish I could purchase some of the juices individually– Spicy Lemonade is my all time favorite and I have even tried to make it myself a few times (but it never tastes as good as Ouri’s). I plan on doing these much more frequently!

Review for cleanse only, didn’t go to actual location. Ordered the believer cleanse during their sale. Code 89doll at $ 89 for a 3 day cleanse. $ 29 for shipping. Ordered on a Tuesday around 10pm and received package by fedex Friday morning (expected delivery date). Shipped from Missouri to Texas. All bottles were frozen and were immediately thawed out in the fridge to begin the cleanse on Saturday.
This is my 3^rd cleanse/​2^nd juice cleanse. The taste is sweet but more palatable than my last one. Had energy and not overly hungry throughout the 3 days. Stomach did growl a little bit here and there but went away once I drank more.
I think its a good beginner cleanse or one for people who can’t tolerate majority veggie ones. I’d definitely do it again if I choose to do another cleanse. No complaints here.

I have personally ordered from Ouri’s twice now and have done their Whenever Cleanse and the mid-​range cleanse. Both times were a complete pleasure.
I have done many other cleanses and unfortunately at a much higher price. This is by far my favorite because of the quality and reasonable price. I can do this cleanse twice or more a year because it’s so affordable. It’s also organic, which I don’t know if the company boasts very much, but I know is a concern of many people who are trying to detox.
I am from LA, California so I have the juices shipped to me and they come completely frozen to preserve them. It takes about a day between leaving them on the counter for a few hours and them tossing them in the fridge for them to thaw out, so that’s smart to consider if you’re planning on starting at a specific time. My deliveries have always been on time and come with an email that includes directions on how to go about cleansing during the process.
I will continue to order from Ouri’s, especially because they are a popular local produce company in Brooklyn and because they’re family owned and operated. Couldn’t be happier with my decision in giving them a try.

This was my second time doing a juice cleanse and my first time doing one from juice from the raw (believer cleanse). Overall the juices were okay, the green juices were what I expected (the detox greens were gross) the pineapple apple mint drink was fantastic and so was the spicy lemonade. When I first placed the order I was excited to see that cashew milk was added to the selections however I was not so excited when it came time to drink it. It tasted like milk of magnesia and was really hard to swallow. I added peanut butter powder to it, which helped a little.

Review is for the cleanse, not the facility itself, customer service was actually fantastic.
This is my fourth cleanse and fourth company trying one and it has been my least favorite cleanse– I highly question the quality. The juices are too sweet, too much sugar. I can’t ever finish the coconut water one, as it is too much sugar for night time. Most other cleanses have an almond or cashew milk, which is essential because there is very little protein in the other juices. I was really turned off by the juices arriving frozen, not any other company (even non pasteurized and no preservatives) has sent me frozen juice. It just doesn’t sit well in my mind. I was only able to make it two days before I was too dizzy to make it through a shift at work (I am a bartender). Every other cleanse I have done, I have been perfectly fine– even with exercising. Every juice completely separates with water on the top and a goopy-​swamp looking moss at the bottom. They claim this is not normal, but the other three cleanses I did, did not have this. Also, when «shaken well», there still were particle chunks that were floating around and were very off putting when going down my throat.
I would maybe recommend this cleanse for someone who is intimated by them. It is cheaper than the quality cleanses, so you may as well try this one since it is more affordable. Don’t expect the same health benefits, though. Yes, you are giving your digestive tract a break, which is great, but the other benefits of juicing just don’t seem there for me.

I ordered the 3-​day whenever cleanse. it was easy and tasty. I just thought too much sugar in each beverage.
It was a good price too which is why I decided to do so in the first place.

This rating is for customer service alone. The few juices that I tasted were fine but the customer service isn’t worth it.
I ordered this product through Gilt City. Clearly my first mistake as deal buyers are second class citizens with this company.
I paid the extra $ 29 for shipping and planned it for a day that I’d be home to receive the product (so that it wouldn’t be left outside on my sidewalk). On the day it was supposed to be delivered, I logged into
to see that the shipment was delayed and was going to arrive after I’d already left for the weekend.
I immediately called Juice from the Raw where I got Tal. Tal was rude and unhelpful. «Our website says that shipments can be delayed. That’s your fault for ordering it before you were leaving.» I tried to explain that I’d been watching the FedEx tracking for updates and it said that it was on time all week. It wasn’t until the day of delivery that it started showing as late. He didn’t care. I asked for him to either reverse the shipment, cancel it or send out another the following week. He said he’d have «Gil» call to help me. Gil never called. It’s been about 3 weeks now. I’m still waiting.
I then called Gilt; clearly they have had more than one problem with this company because they refunded my money without asking too many questions.
The product did eventually arrive. The box was soaked through (FedEx left it on my doorstep, not even under my awning) in the pouring winter rain in Seattle. The box was soaked through completely, ¹⁷⁄₁₈ drinks were thawed and warm, one, on the very bottom, cracked open and soaked the rest of the drinks and the box and left everything sticky, and one drink was still frozen.
I’d avoid this cleanse and go for Cooler Cleanse or Suja. Both have way better shipping and much friendly customer service.

I bought this through Grupon because this is cheapest deal so far. Since all juices are pricey and I wasn’t sure I can do this. Well, I started on Saturday. The first day I was having headache and craving for food and coffee. My second day, was a little bit better. But still craving for salty snack. Last day, was better and didn’t feel craving so much.
This comes with 6 different kind of juice. They all surprisingly tasty, feel like you are drinking fruit juice and they filled you up all day. Great for beginner.

I’m always looking for a green juice and some veggie and fruit juice blends, cold-​pressed only, not pressurized, not frozen, as much organic as possible. I juice any time, all the time, and I need lots of juice! And I LOVE a great deal.
Most every place requires 48 – 72 hours notice if you’re doing a cleanse, and customization usually requires quite a bit of negotiation with the company/​juice bar. This is totally understandable because of sourcing, production and inventory levels.
Well, I just discovered Ouri’s Fruit (aka Juice from the Raw) and stopped by the Ave U location in Sheepshead Bay. I chatted with Gil on the phone prior to my visit, and he was so friendly. This location is mainly a produce place selling fruits and veggies, but in the back is a big open fridge with pressed juices — HEAVEN. I immediately popped open a bottle of the Sweet Greens juice (16oz), and it was just fantastic! Not too sweet, but sweet enough so you can get some glucose. It’s winter, and it’s hard to be pure green.
One caveat — the juices are mainly organic, whenever available. I knocked off a star for not guaranteed 100% organic all the time, but since they’re in the produce business, I get it… they will source organic when they can. They do have buying power since they’ve been in business for over 30+ years. Maybe I can nudge them a bit more to guarantee organic…
I picked up 3 days of juice (18 bottles) which included Sweet Greens, Extreme Greens and Root Veggies and it was $ 99 total! Credit cards are accepted. Dari is so sweet and lovely, she helped me check out at the register.
The hours are 8AM — 6:30PM Monday-​Friday, closed on weekends. It’s a little out of the way from the Ave U stop on the Q train. It’s between E. 3^rd and E. 4^th Streets, but you can take the B3 bus if you don’t feel like schlepping your juices to the train. Parking is available on the street too.
Yes, the company has vouchers on Giltcity, Groupon and Livingsocial. What’s neat is that you can have your juices shipped to anywhere in the USA! Follow the instructions on their website for redemption. But for us lucky ones living in THE CITY, we can just stop by and pick up these delicious juices. I recommend!!!

If it’s your first time trying juice cleanse, then go with them. Their juices tend to be a little sweeter, which is great for those who dislike the taste of vegetables. I bought the 3 day «Whenever cleanse» and it comes with 2 greens, 2 fruity and 1 coconut flavor. I personally dislike the ingredients in the juices but the juices themselves turn out to be fine, in fact all 6 of them were quite tasty. Some of the bottles were quite sweet, especially the pineapple one, so I am not surprised that people will comment on it. If you’re looking for an advanced cleanse, or if you’re that kind of person who thinks that cleansing juice shouldn’t taste good, then go with another juicery. For me, I think this is a great start for beginners. It’s my first time cleansing and I was afraid that I would give up halfway (I am a super picky eater & a carnivore). I just finished my second day and still alive.
I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because of their «lunch» juices. My hunger pangs totally hit me during lunch and those 2 bottles weren’t filling. Breakfast was fine and dinner was filling. It’s only the lunch… I wish they had almond milk instead of lemonade. But well, maybe it’s just me.
As for the packaging, it came in a giant cooler bag with ice packs inside. I live in Michigan so shipping took 2 days to arrive but juices were still fresh and chill.
