Randomly stopped by here looking for a light lunch since I didn’t want anything heavy. The line was pretty long and the workers move very quick also most of the customers seemed like regulars they knew exactly how they wanted their salad. I didn’t, so with the fast pace I just ordered what I was familiar with which was a chopped chicken Caesar salad with black pepper. It was yummy and tasted fresh, honestly one of the best Caesars I’ve had. Be mindful the shape of the store is odd if it’s backed up you may be standing outside even if there’s only a few people ahead of you especially if they’re all waiting at the chopped station, which today we all were. There are no seats so it is definitely a place to grab your food and go. The selection is extensive so there seems to be something for everybody.

Store manager Allen is amazing. Amidst ordering my salad I realized I left my wallet at home. Needless to say I was starving. He made the salad and I’m going back to pay tomorrow. MANYTHANKSALLEN!!!

I love this location. The staff is always quick and friendly, especially John. Healthy salads with quality ingredients at a decent price.

The vibe of this place is so pleasant. They are very clean and accommodating. I told Tay Y about my allergy and without blinking an eye she replaced the board. Allen the manager is also very friendly and accommodating. I feel so bad I forgot the 3rd guys name that assisted me. Everyone was so nice and my salad was fresh. I’ve never had a bad salad here.

Delicious salads, fun staff. John was friendly! The reusable bowl gets you an extra item, and saves a tree!

I love the salads and service here! I get the Hudson Mix with salmon, which is truly a meal in a bowl. Though it’s a salad, I feel satisfied and healthy. Usually when I have salad I have to eat again within a couple hours — not true with this meal. General Manager Adam and Chopper Jonathan are very friendly and personable. This location on State St in Brooklyn is a little sliver of a location — it doesn’t have an eat-in option — but that’s OK with me. Check it out!

I stop by here basically three times a week. It’s on the way home from my gym, so super convenient! PLUS I feel like it’s abnormally hard to get a good salad, so discovering this place has been a real treat for me.(Yes. I say things like treat cus I’m a 70 year old woman trapped in the body of a 25 year old with joint and back problems.) HUGE array of options, makes me really happy. The Customer service is so great I kept coming in not knowing what I wanted exactly, or if it was better to create my own salad or substitute from a salad already on the menu. I told them what I wanted and they were like OKAYNOPROBLEM and they just figured out the cheapest way for me to get it. There is usually only two people in there when I go, and if I’m ever waiting for someone to help me it’s because they are clearly VERY busy with other customers or with some food thing, never just because they were chatting with each other or goofing around. Really just a great staff here. The food quality is pretty decent, and they look through the food as they are making it to make sure, like once or twice they decided a piece of lettuce wasn’t good enough and took it out before they even started making my salad. Which I really appreciate One of my regular spots! Def check it out. It is ONLY to go tho, NOT for sitting and eating.

Yummy, generous salads and friendly staff! Try the Hudson Valley Mix w/chicken. Decently priced as NYC eats go. Beware this is to-go only.

Atmosphere: There is no place to sit, so be ready to order and go. Place is simple and clean. Service: Can be a little slow at times but overall good. Salads: So many toppings! There is something for everyone. I like that they give you a piece of bread with it. OVerall good spot!

Love this place. Close to my office and have only good things to say. The salads are delicious and they have a great menu of chef recommended choices in addition to having the ability to create your own. This saves time when ordering. Also being able to order online and pick up is great when you just want to run and grab something healthy. This is definitely going to be one of my new go to lunch spots.

Great customer service! I decided to give this place another go. Apparently it’s under new management and it shows. The new Manager, Allen, was attentive and made sure to provide the service my last visit lacked. I’ll definitely frequent this place now.

Delivery is atrocious. 75 minutes to receive a salad less than 10 city blocks away? Orders are often wrong, missing ingredients and drenched with dressing making lettuce soggy. Staff on the phone is inept with little or no knowledge of the ingredients and delivery personnel can’t locate even the simplest of addresses. Two salads are about $ 25 — absolutely not worth the price or hassle.

Ive tried it a few times and always feel like i was robbed. For example, you can’t remove substitute chicken for the double avocado in one of their salads, instead they want to charge you extra for less food. This place has awful service and is SOSMALL compared to other JS locations. Skip their overpriced salads and go to Tio Pio next door and support a small business.

Found this cool little lunch spot while I was in the neighborhood. Just as the name gives away — it’s JUSTSALAD! Yum! I ordered a chopped falafel salad with cucumber yogurt dressing. It was very tasty and filling, just what I needed after a long morning. I also picked up a coconut water; the entire lunch cost about $ 13 to give you an idea of prices. A negative about this place is that there aren’t any tables to eat you food or a restroom for customers either. Womp womp! The people working behind the counter were friendly and attentive.

I don’t know what was worse, the fact that the wilted salad tasted like it was 4 days old, or that the«smoothie» had the texture of finely chopped salsa, very disappointed…

I got the real New York experience here at Just Salad. I walk in and there’s about a million different options on the wall but I need to decide which salad I want immediately. It’s my first time here, so uh I don’t know? «What do you recommend?» I asked the guy who was demanding my order. Ended up getting the buffalo chicken salad, wasn’t given any idea how to customize it but was able to get some avocados added. Salad chopper station was called, I walked up and the guy is super eager and happy to chop my salad. Go for it man, go for it. Then comes the pay station. You know when kids or really introverted, anxiety-stricken people don’t want to order their food themselves because they aren’t sure what to do and how to react? That’s exactly how I felt here. It’s impersonal, which is fine by me but at least give me some time to think about my order. And why the hell is half my buffalo chicken salad full of cheese? I realize this after getting to the office… I’m lactose intolerant so this is going to be fun.

Yeah, just okay. This is half-based on the small confined size of the place, half on the inconsistent service. Now the service is not bad — I was treated actually ‘badly’ at the West 8th St. location and thanks to Unilocal(yay!) a manager contacted me and got them to go correct. Yet, they have a dismissiveness here. It may indeed be because they feel confined themselves, which I totally get. However, I’m just glad this place is here. Nearby salad-friendly spots don’t allow for as much personalization, which is always my thing, so they’re worth the support.
