La Guadalupita Deli

la guadalupita is in the front of my building. so convenience is the major part of my patronage. however, they are as nice as can be… and if you’ve read any of my reviews you’ll know that a place could be a vortex of fire, evil and dying children and i would still like it if the people are friendly.
brush up on your spanish though cuz they haven’t finished their ESL training yet (or even registered). Rosa (i think that’s her name) is there in the evenings and is the sweetest little thang in bushwick right now.
they have a lot of stuff i’m not familiar with: mexican cheese and pastries, and mexican junk food. but they do also sell pringles and vitamin water and tall mexican cokes that are awesome. and to show you my faith in la gudalupita i bought a pound of ham from them smack dab in the middle of the swine flu outbreak. smart move? i’m still here.
