I was looking for cheap furniture(not stylish), and I did not want to return to IKEA after my not so good experience there. This store fit the bill perfectly. A found a good sized cabinet(which includes a drawer with a small security lock) for 150 $, and the delivery to my apartment three floors up in neighboring Bushwick was an additional 10 $ extra. Not bad at all. If I had found out about this store before IKEA I would’ve purchased all my basic stuff here, no questions asked.

Hmm, so you go in. Of course they don’t really greet you or try to help you. I learned that the items you may want from the store won’t be available until a week later. Delivery charges are $ 10 – 15, which is pretty cheap. They don’t have a big selection at all and most of the items are wood colored furniture which I didn’t want. I’m still mixed on if I want to buy any items from them… Edit, I ended up getting a twin bed from them, with a $ 12 delivery charge. Total came to be $ 174ish with tip. I think they only start being nice to you once you are really serious about buying. After that the girl started smiling at me, mind you, I been here twice! I wouldn’t say this is 4 – 5 stars quality people!

I can absolutely appreciate the extensive collection of dressers, bookcases, and other decent wooden items at extremely affordable prices. Admittedly, no one will walk into your apartment and go, «Damn, that’s a nice dresser.» But they are perfectly serviceable. But how am I supposed to decide if I want any of your couches, Lee? They are all wrapped, and hanging on the wall, 20 feet above my head. And so I decided I don’t want any of your couches.

Prices are quite reasonable. Bought a double mattress and received it the same evening. I paid in cash but it’s not really tax free. On the bottom of the receipt, it breaks up the actual price of the item and the tax for you. That means tax was included in the price of the mattress that I bought. I’m pretty happy with my purchase overall.

Great for what it is — a cheap furniture outlet for your basic needs. You may or may not end up paying delivery charges, depending on who you get working the counter, but if you’re relatively local, don’t expect to pay more than $ 10 extra plus a tip if you feel like it. Pay in cash and avoid sales tax(presumably to avoid credit card fees more than to defraud the government, as they do give you a receipt which they appear to keep in their own records as well).

The quality of the furniture here is below Ikea– standards, and is your basic presswood junky furniture. That being said, if you’re looking for some basic pieces at very reasonable prices, this is a great place to go! Bought a reasonable chest of drawers there for my bedroom, dark cherry finish, not fancy but not bad really, for $ 129. It arrived on my doorstep two hours later, fully assembled, and they didn’t charge for delivery as I’m only a few blocks away. And because I paid in cash, they didn’t charge any tax. Went back today to buy the matching wardrobe(for $ 199), a different guy was there and he charged $ 10 delivery fee, so they are a bit inconsistent — but hey, ten bucks, fully assembled, and again no tax if you pay cash. If you live in the area, way better than going all they way down to Ikea!
