If you stick to the pork belly($ 5) and tonkotsu ramen($ 10), then you’ll have an ok meal. Do not get the takoyaki($ 5) — it was the worst I ever had. It tasted like it was from a package, cooked, then recooked, absolutely terrible. Soggy on the inside and wrinkly and chewy on the outside. The katsu don($ 8) also tasted like it was reheated and it was grossly sweet. The egg made it taste like mush. The pork belly skewers were simple, a bit chewy though. The ramen isn’t really ramen — the broth is oddly white, and the noodles aren’t the right ones. But the pork slices were tender and seasoned well, and the egg was fine. Just think of it as noodle soup and it will be ok. The restaurant is not the cleanest. The utensils and water cups feel dirty, and the chairs are worn. The service is curt and mostly cold.

I was lucky that this place wasnt packed on a friday night. Nothing is worse than being pumped about a place and to not the stuff you want. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The calamari wasnt up to my standands but the sauce(wasabi)…was divine. Forget franks red hot sauce. I have officially named the wasabi love sauce. If love had a taste i would imagine it being the wasabi sauce… hot, overwhelming, and completely taking over your senses… has a tendency to irritate your stomach. The lollipop chicken was good but only when paired with the chili garlic sauce. The numbingly spicy fish ramen was filling… so much so that i didnt finish it. Although it wasnt mine the spicy beef ramen broth should have a shrine built in its name and an introduction to any cookbook that encompasses food with«kick your ass spicy.» You will not need milk to cool you down, but it has a kick that will make you look like your body is being purged of any underlining mucus in your sinus cavity… or any cavity. If you have a cold the spicy beef ramen broth is the cure.

A much needed stable for the under appreciated neighborhood of Brooklyn; fresh ingredients and exciting menu with arrays of ramen options, with respectable staff and quick service speed during non-peek hours. Reasonable price point for the quality of menu, certainly a spot to indulge once every possible chance when your appetite and budget allows.

They are closed on Mondays! This is my go-to spot for ramen in Brooklyn. It’s close by to where I live and it’s cheap! I always get the grilled satay chicken ramen($ 9). The egg is always cooked perfectly and there’s a hint of spiciness to the broth. The calamari($ 6) and potato shrimp($ 4 for 3) is also a favorite of mine. No complaints on this place at all!

My favorite Sushi place in Brooklyn, I live in around the area, I go there every week. They pick up the phone, they already know who I am. Food is good, Fish is Fresh, Price is reasonable.

I came here with a friend who raved about the sushi here and admittedly, it’s some of the freshest sushi I’ve ever had. However, I did feel a bit queazy the rest of the day… Also I found that things are definitely on the pricey side for such a small, casual sushi spot in the middle of bensonhurst. The service is like the below comments say; rude. Our waiter made it obvious he was just dying to get rid of us and it seemed all the waiters had the same attitude. 2 Stars for the fresh sushi. Everything else, eh. I won’t be back.

Always being my top listing sushi restaurant in bensonhurst. Fresh sushi & the service is fast and friendly. The price is reasonable and I love the simplicity of the menu.

I used to go there a lot more often when they first opened back in 2011, they served such good food at great prices, since there’s no other Japanese restaurant in the area that served specialty Japanese dishes like they do. But I have to admit that even though the owner was a friend’s friend, we were always greeted with the worst attitude. I love the food so I sucked it up and still ate there often, since it’s two blocks from where I used to live and I started advertising for them as my «cafeteria» on Facebook. Their salmon set is the biggie on the menu, you get salmon sashimi, salmon sushi, salmon teriyaki and salmon rolls, all for $ 20. It’s super fresh, very tasty, nobody could beat that. They do very interesting appetizers too, takoyaki, okonomiyaki, seasoned sweet potato fries, fried squid bellies, etc. You name it. And they constantly update their menu throughout the years, I love their sushi with uni, ikura and ika all together, sometimes topped with scallops. I stopped going after some of our friends left the business, I believe the chef changed, the host changed and servers all left. I ordered a dinner cater over the New Year’s weekend for my dad’s birthday, which consisted of all the big sets with a lot of sashimi, sushi and specialty rolls, the host was very nice, he let me take a picture of the menu since they had no take-out menus printed at the moment, he also suggested that I call ahead of time, so I did and when I got there about 20 mins late, they had everything prepared and ready for me. The meal was spectacular, I was pretty satisfied with the service now that I don’t get an attitude anymore. It’s definitely still one of the best Japanese restaurants in the area.

Admittedly, the food is really good, and I love their sushi, but the workers’ attitudes are so bad. The guy up front was very rude, and blatantly frustrated with me and my family as soon as we walked into the restaurant. One of the waiters badmouthed us when we went to get our seats. We just ended up leaving without ordering anything.

My family came here because all of the little ones love sushi and we know that this place has the freshest sushi in Brooklyn… that does not mean we can be treated so badly. The service has always been horrible, but today was especially below par. The server at the front started screaming at us about sitting separately, despite our reassurances that we would really like to sit together no matter how crowded it may be for us, before we could even all come inside the restaurant. When we were seated, that server and other servers muttered under their breaths about us and gave us looks. They weren’t even busy either… We couldn’t take it anymore and left to bring our business somewhere else. Piopio is around the corner and they have much better service and excellent food!!!

I can consider myself a regular customer. This is the best ramen in this part of brooklyn. Also, all comments regarding sushi… just ignore them this is a ramen place. Even on their sign they say ラメン。trust me, everything is good here, this place is one of those shabby feel at home places. Also it’s not that expensive and they have awesome guys as their personnel. Oh yea, sometimes you have to call and reserve as they’re booked

So I heard a lot of negative things about this place, mainly about the service. I went in expecting bad service so maybe that’s why I am not as disappointed? Sushi was delicious and fresh. Not omakase quality but the platter I got was worth the $ 25??ish. Appetizers were pretty good for a Chinese owner and in Bensonhurst-almost felt like I was at st marks! We got the pancake and pork belly… both were very good… Ramen, not the best, wasn’t fresh ramen but again, good for Bensonhurst. Definitely would come back for my ramen fix if I did not want to travel to Manhattan or park slope. Service: oh yes. Can’t get away with this one. I went on a slower weekday and the two younger waiters were okay, not rude, decent but a tad bit slow, nothing too dramatic to even complain about. I think most of the complaints come from the owner/manager? It’s the middle aged man at the register when you first come in. Perhaps it’s the haste that comes off rude? Regardless, other busier restaurants have better hosts so it would be a shame if it closes down because of that.

Decent sushi earned them three stars and the price point earned them another. Combo B is only 11 $ and gets you 4 rolls — pretty good if you ask me! The sushi is nothing too extraordinary but leaves you satisfied. They are generous with the spicy scallop spread, which was appreciated. PSA: they don’t serve anything that’s tuna, even though it’s on the menu. Staff was attentive. Place is small, so make sure you have reservations or just get takeout. Also, be warned! Chances that you find parking will be slim to none, especially on weekend nights. Recommended and will probably come here again.

The restaurant is kinda small and cramped. But the food is pretty good for the price. You can get a bowl topped with assorted sashimi for $ 14. They also have a really good crazy scallop roll. There’s a good variety of food on the menu. If you don’t like sushi, they also have hot food such as seafood pancake, ramen, katsu, etc.

Food is medicore and staff is INCREDIBLYRUDE! The guy in the front literally rolled his eyes and sighed the entire time I was ordering my to go meal and when he gave me my order he tossed the bag at me and turned away. Total jerk. I won’t be going to a place and spend my money to be treated like that. Anyway, for my meal I ordered the«4ROLLSFOR $ 11» combo I got: Lobster salad roll Eel avacado roll Boston roll Crazy crunchy salmon roll The eel avacado roll had NO eel sauce, the lobster salad roll and the crazy crunchy salmon rolls are actually california rolls with random globs of orange stuff on it. The Boston roll was actually pretty good but other than that it was nothing to rave about. About half an hour after I ate I actually got sick ! This is just a terrible place. Would not ever go back.

This is one of my go to spots whenever I crave for«better» quality sushi/sashimi without having to travel far. This place probably offers the best sushi grade fish in Bensonhurst. Longevousjoy is quite small and can get really packed. I like Longevousjoy because it’s different compared to majority of the sushi restaurants in Bensonhurst. Its definitely inexpensive although service can be a hit or miss. They offer a variety of items such as sushi/sashimi combos, ramen, donburi, different apps.(Stuffed squid, takoyaki, fries, oyster shooters) etc… They also post several different specials all over their walls, just take a look around! Beer & sake are also available. I am also a fan of their Uni & Amaebi. It isn’t the best but so far it’s the best I’ve had in the neighborhood!

We ordered a lot of different foods… rolls, udon, and ramen, and other special items. I enjoyed the cumin fries. The seafood udon is delicious with big shrimps and octopus legs. The ramen bowl has lean and fatty pork. Also order a bowl with raw fish… with salmon, large fish eggs and and whatnot. It gets pretty busy here during dinner time. I would come back if I’m craving for sushi and in the area.

I’ve never been greeted so rudely in a restaurant ever. It all started with the manager upfront. In his nasty and demeanor tone of voice, he approached us with«HOWMANY?» & «WAITTHERE». No smiles, nothing. Even though he was extremely rude, we still decided to dine here since we heard many good things about their sushi. We were mainly looking forward in trying their uni sushi. However, our waiter claimed that the only way we can have uni was to order the sashimi special($ 23). So… two simple pieces of uni($ 9) can’t be ordered unless I spent $ 23 for other stuff that I didn’t even care for. I guess making a profit is of uttermost importance than their reputation. Now on to their food… We ordered the fried calamari, fried oysters, fried chicken, sashimi special, salmon feast, sushi roll special, miso ramen, unagi don, and a sashimi rice bowl. Everything was quite tasty and the sushi quality was slightly better than most sushi restaurants in the area. When our food arrived, they just splat our dishes on the table. Every single worker in this restaurant severely lacks manners. Needless to say, this is one of the most appalling services I’ve ever received in a restaurant. I would not recommend anyone to dine in if you can’t tolerate impoliteness. Their atrocious service can really destroy your experience. I hope this restaurant reevaluates their customer service standards because it’ll just prevent their business from accelerating.

Anddddd she’s back for sushi. After discovering uni a few months ago I went on a frenzy for it. I couldn’t stop scoping out where it was served and how I can get it at $$ and below prices. Longevous offers a variety of uni dishes, including mini uni aburi rice, uni sashimi for $ 3 a piece, uni sushi with squid and unagi. Course I had to have it all and then some. In addition i ordered their spicy scallop and sweet potato shrimp. All these dishes are small, could almost call it japanese tapas. I loved all the uni dishes, fresh and creamy just the way it’s suppose to be. Very good uni for a very good deal. Their scallop sushi and sweet potato shrimp was great too. Fresh and savory. They use real wasabi here and sushi rice unlike some places I’ve been to in Brooklyn.
