There are a few times in life where you enjoy a really good pizza that’s made fresh from the oven and with the best ingredients. Today I tasted one of the best pizzas in the world, here at Lorenzo’s Pizzeria. Located in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn the pizza here was amazing. The cheese was excellent, the tomato sauce was just right and it didn’t take long for it to warm up from the oven. And on top of that you get a FREE soda can or water bottle with your order of 2 slices of pizza for just $ 5 bucks! Now you cannot go wrong with that great deal since most pizza places charge for drinks. And as an added bonus it’s right outside of the B1 bus stop. Only con is to avoid dining in during the summer time because it can get really hot inside.

The most disgusting place ever do not order ever I ordered via grubhub and it gave us small portions of food and everything was soggy not to mention one of the chicken was ripped in half. DISGUSTING hope they go out of business

The last two times we’ve called them have been problems, both with service and with the food quality. The food has gone downhill while the staff has become less friendly. Please, keep serving good food! I don’t think I’ll be able to convince my family to call again, since the last two times were progressively worse.

My fiancé just ordered me a gluten free pizza, and he ordered himself a pan pizza. We both loved our pizzas! It’s amazing that I am able to order a gluten free pizza that taste like real pizza!!! Thank you so much you made my night!

If I could give less then a star I would. Ordered ravioli, vodka sauce penne and meatballs. The ravioli sauce was super watery and tasted like it was frozen. The vodka sauce was disgusting and the meatballs could have broken a tooth and the meat tasted rancid. Overall a waste of $ 30 and a poor excuse for Italian food in an Italian neighborhood. Never again. Owners should be ashamed of themselves. Do not order from here.

Was hungry and in the area, thanks to help found this place. Very sweet guys behind the counter. Got two regular slices and grandma between the two of us. They threw in a can of free soda. Pizza was pretty good. Overall, nice experience for a quick bite to eat. Recommendation: Worth a try.

I just ordered a pizza with tomato and basil(did not want cheese) and a veg lasagna. The pizza is the worst pizza I have ever eaten. Husband and I ate a few bites and threw whole pie out. The veg lasagna was a mess. Veg lasagna is made with white sauce. This was noodles with soggy broccoli and drowned in pizza sauce and cheese. Few bites of that… I vomited. I spent 35 bucks on vomit. I wanted to support a local business. But I am the one who got the business.

I used to grab slices of pizza from this location when it was called Valentino’s, after decades in business they closed down and two joints popped up and closed down, like mall kiosks. When Lorenzo’s opened last year, I was iffy about sampling their goods. Finally, after much deliberation, we placed an order for a square pie. Mercy, mercy me… I live in Bensonhurst so, trust me, I have had my share of both good and bad pizza! This is by far the BEST square pie that I have EVER,(ever, ever –Outcast voice) had! They call it a square, but it’s actually a suped up Grandma Pie. With the perfect distribution of fresh mozzarella, topped with the most flavorful sauce and finalized with compliments of fresh basil, this is the tastiest pizza that I have had since moving to Brooklyn 13 years ago. We can’t get enough, at the moment, we’re kind of OD’ng on Pizza from Lorenzo’s, ordering at least three times a week. That’s not even the best part! Wait for it! It always, always, always, comes with free soda and garlic knots. The garlic knots are to die for. They are also the best garlic knots in town. It’s not the generic doe, hard knots that are slapped together in a rush. I suspect that they make a sort of long bread out of them, they seem like an artsy creation packed with a mouthful of flavor, AND they’re free! When you call in, the owner(who happens to be the brother of the original awesome pizza owner of Valentino’s), answers and is so incredibly friendly, I look forward to calling. Usually, you call for a pizza joint and it’s «what else, what do you want? what else?» NOT the friendlist of calls and you just hope that a hair hasn’t landed on your pizza. I love these folks, they’re pizza and their service. You can’t go wrong! Try the square pie and tell me I’m wrong!

GREAT addition to the neighborhood. I usually order a pie once or twice a month and it hasn’t failed me yet. I always like to try new pizza spots as they pop up(before they disappear). I hope Lorenzo’s is here to stay. The regular pie is simple and not oiley like most place that use cheap cheese. Their regular square pies are awesome. Picture a combo of grandma style square pie and regular Sicilian pie. They usually throw in free garlic knots if they feel like it. Some may disagree but they are so much better than valentinos ever was. Definitely the best option for pizza in this area. And btw I’ve never seen anyone but the owner making pies the couple times a month I go in here. Usually Fridays around 6pm. Tip: If you like your crust crispy, ask for the pie to be well done.

This place was horrible. Talk about soggy pizza. Crappy sauce and the cheapest cheese ever. Asked for a vodka slice and the give me something that looked like a plain slice but it wasn’t. I even got a calzone and who the hell puts sesame seeds on a calzone and no mozzarella it was just filled with ricotta and everything fell out when I picked it up. Just bring back Valentinos. John was the man. This place is nothing but crap. That’s what happens when u hire Mexicans to work in the kitchen. Or some wanna be Italian who thinks they can make Italian food! Anyone who likes this place obviously never had good food.

I’ve been waiting to write a review for this place on grub hub but never got the opportunity-finally I can! I’m almost all gluten free and this place has AMAZING gluten free pizza! I ordered a gluten free fried eggplant wrap along with the pizza and someone even called me to tell me there was breadcrumb on the eggplant(in case I was 100% gluten free). Tried meatball hero, veggie lasagna, zucchini sticks as well-all delicious! Thank you for coming to the neighborhood, can’t wait to try other things!

Lorenzo’s openly in January and everything I’ve ordered so far is amazing! Love their fried eggplant hero and pasta dishes as well as their pizza and beef patties!
