This place has been open since I was a little kid. Their prices have hiked since and similar quality pizza can be found in the kings highway area for cheaper, but this place still stays a classic. They have seating for those of us who like to sit and eat, though there is no waiter service at all. You have to order at checkout, then pick up and bring to a table. Their variety of condiments is pretty similar to any pizzeria in New York City. They do serve glass sodas which taste pretty delicious. If you plan on sitting and eating, you should know the place has an arcade game. As of recently they also serve cake and coffee.

Agree with Alex V. that it’s the best slice on Kings Highway, at least between Ocean Parkway and Ocean Avenue. Nothing standout, but solid neighborhood pizza. Their pasta is OK if you need a fairly cheap, acceptable plate of food to go on your way home from work, but I will warn potential customers that the seating area is pretty grim(it’s clean enough, but kind of dim and very bare-bones). Takeout is definitely the better option. Unless of course you’re into Spanish-language soccer games and sit-dramas on the big flat-screen on the back wall, in which case — definitely stick around.(lol) I’ve always found the owner and employees to be pretty friendly, myself.(The tall guy is nice, but quiet and never smiles much, even with personal friends when they stop by.) The only semi-serious fault I’ve ever had with Luna is that they stopped using Boar’s Head cold cuts for their sandwiches a few years ago, and those took a serious nosedive. But you can go around the corner to the bodega on Quentin Rd and Coney Island Avenue for that, so I don’t really hold it against them. Guess it just got too expensive to keep up.

Best pizza place in it’s area. I tend to visit the place often. They have this special during certain hours where you can get 2 slices with a drink for $ 5. Even after hours the employees are nice enough to offer me the deal :) the place has tons of space and has nice dedicated employees to serve you the best pizza possible. The garlic nuts they serve are also very tasty. The place has a tv and usually displays soccer for the soccer fans out there. The place has a nice location where you can find street parking. Defiantly a place worth checking out.

I’m sorry but Every time I think luna. I think cardboard pizza. Since I was a kid I’ve cringed thinking about their pizza.

I used to come here often when I was a kid and I remember coming here all the time for their delicious thick Veggie Slice. It cost $ 2.75 to get a full vegetable slice of peppers, onions, olives, mushrooms, broccoli and tomatoes. The best part of it was that the crust was as thick as a Sicilian slice. At first I couldn’t remember why I stopped coming here but then it occurred to me that they stopped making the Veggie slices with all those ingredients and just stuck with 3 – 4 of the ones I listed above. The worst part was that they downgraded the slice to a flimsy, thin crust and raised the price by $ 1 to $ 3.75. That really did it for me and I stopped coming here for many years but then recently I started coming here again. What I really like from this place was that they make zeppoli’s. They are 4 for $ 1.25 which is a bit pricey for four small pieces of fried dough. My mother told me they used to be 4 for $ 1. My brother enjoys the Chicken rolls they make here since he was little kid but that costs $ 5.75 which is $ 1.25 more than all the places down Kings Highway. They used to charge $ 5 for it. A big thumbs down because their Chicken roll is not only smaller but cost way more. The flavor is about the same I heard. The sad part about this place is their regular slices. They charge $ 2.50 for a slice which is typical Manhattan prices and not only are their slices flimsy, they taste old. I wasn’t sure it was because of the cheese or the crust itself. I even thought it was because they served me a slice that was in the fridge overnight. I was disappointed at that one. The guy who serves you don’t seem to care the slightest about your business. He wouldn’t even smile and kind of gives you a look like«what do you want?» I would only come here for the zeppoli’s. I think I will pass on everything else because not only are their slices a tab bit smaller but they charge like 25 cents more for everything. Besides there are way better pizza places down the block that charge a bit less and taste a bit better.
