This review is long overdue for the friendliest, knowledgeable and coolest staff at Luxeye Optical. Everyone from Dr. Kenneth the optometrist, Carmen at the front counter with her awesome smile and Tony one of the sweetest managers will make your sunglasses shopping experience a bliss. They carry their own glasses brands called Brooklyn Spectacles and they are super refine and funky at the same time. Scott their Marketing sales Manager ensured to keep the latest, fashionable and practical frames. They also carry progressive lenses, prescription along with the latest RayBans aviators. So enjoy the sun but protect your eyes with the beautiful sunglasses at Luxeye Optical. They also have the cutest tiniest frames for children in different lovely colors and styles. My friend took her 5 year old son and he got a very durable pair and every time they need to get adjusted the staff is so welcoming and graceful to fix them.

The service was really good. People work there were really nice, made me feel comfortable. Price is normal. My prescription is high so my lenses are expensive. Wish the frames could have been cheaper though.

Love Luxeye Optical! Dr. Ken and Carmen are so knowledgeable, helpful and awesome. Dr. Ken makes the eye exam fun and is so thorough. Carmen helped me learn how to put on contacts for the first time — she was so patient and gave me tips until I got it! Everyone was so nice and really made this a wonderful experience. Highly recommend them!

They were super helpful and I left with a great pair of sunglasses. Way better experience than going to Sunglass Hut. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Exactly what you want from an optical shop!
Things i love most about this place:
–Super friendly, helpful staff who don’t rush you.
–No one ever tried to sell me anything else but the frame and lenses, unlike every other place i’ve been that’s forced anti-​glare, etc., on me. If you don’t need it, these guys won’t recommend it.
–I had an issue after i wore my glasses for a while that no one could have foreseen. I waited a few weeks before going in but i was so glad i did because they fixed my problem immediately without any extra cost to me, which was HUGE.
–your glasses will be ready in no time! Quickest turnaround of any place i’ve been.
–optometrist is thorough and friendly.
I also brought a friend in to get an exam and get lenses put into her old frame and since she lives a while away from the shop, they turned around her glasses in 45 minutes!

I have been searching for a pair of yellow tinted ray-​bans for so long. They didn’t have them in stock but they offered to make them for me and they waived the extra charge for making custom lenses. Absolutely awesome customer service experience and a great place to get glasses. Also the glasses customization is done on site and took less than an hour which was perfect for the time friend that I had for that day.

Professional. I went just for the exam and there was no pressure to buy frames afterwards. Eye exam was thorough and Dr Leong took the time to answer questions. Definitely felt I was in good hands the whole time.

Luxeye is a good optical/​glasses shop in the williamsburg area. I’ve had my eye exam, as well as bought all my recent glasses at Luxeye. They’ve been helpful and really cool about making changes to customize the frames/​lenses till I was satisfied with the look. It is on the pricey side but they have hip/​stylish/​quality frames and look for sales. I got mine at 20% off, as all the sunglasses in the store were on sale!

Walked in, got an exam and the perfect pair of frames all in the same day. Great selection, though pricey. The service is great and attentive. I’m so excited for my new specs!

Wouldn’t recommend coming here for an eye exam — I had an appointment with Dr. Lam last year and it was less than stellar. I’ve had glasses/​contacts most of my life and know what a detailed eye exam should be – this was not it. The entire exam took about 7 mins (including the contact lens fitting), she said about 2 sentences to me, and I walked away wondering what she may have missed.

It’s an incredible and somewhat rare experience to call a doctor’s office and hear a friendly voice. Tada, welcome to Luxeye.
The front of house employees are great about helping you track down insurance discounts and scheduling last-​minute appointments. (Plus, they’re open relatively late.) I also stopped in with two pairs of Warby Parker glasses on a busy Sunday and they fit them for zero cost (and no eye rolling). I wouldn’t take my corneas anywhere else.

Place is really nice. Good selection of frames and sunglasses and pretty fast turn around on the lenses. My only gripe about the place is that you have to ask for help to look at frames, sometimes i like to just walk around trying different ones on without having to ask someone to open each case.

Very spendy and all the product is on lock down (I happen to like to pick up glasses and try them out w/​o having to get the sales help to unlock the items). Other than those minor gripes, they have a well curated selection of top quality designer frames and attentive service.

I bought a pair of prescription sunglasses here yesterday. Jenny was so sweet and helpful. They have a pretty decent selection of quality and designer glasses. After comparing their prices to Eyeco down the street, Luxeye has WAY better prices :)

This store has such a current and trendy selection of glasses and sunglasses. I got my regular glasses here and I really love them. I just brought some friends from out of town in to get sunglasses and they got a pair. I got another pair of sunglasses today too. Their options are high quality, classy and still trendy. I’m a really big fan.
