Came here as a regular for their coffee, and shredded pork sponge cake before heading to work. As time goes on their prices started to increase. Each time I asked for the cake, the person behind the counter always tells me cake is not done yet. So, eventually I gave up, and moved on to the next Asian bakery.

Who doesn’t like a fresh warm bun?! I do! Their buns here are always kept in a warmer and every time I order, my bun is nice and warm. I have never seen a chinese bakery keep their buns warm for customers, that’s why they deserve this extra star! Recommendations? Yes: Pinapple bun, roast pork bun, mexican style dried pork bun are my top choices here. I’ve never tried their cakes before, not too sure if I will ever take the chance since they don’t look too appealing.

I went here to buy some asian pastries(at least you don’t have to walk all the way down to 8th ave and buy some) and bubble tea. Though I selected a flavor on the board, they said they don’t have it. So i requested another flavor, and they said they don’t have it and did not understand my request. So they said they only have mango which every time I approach for a different flavor, they don’t have it. I’m not crazed for their desserts, but there are a few tables and it’s nice to see Leif Ericsson Park across the block. It’s kinda the same atmosphere like other asian bakeries in 8th ave.

Neighborhood spot for Chinese buns. I recommend going early for the freshest pick. Not too crazy about their cakes but their drinks are pretty good and they do serve some random specialities like the traditional baos. It’s a small bakery so it doesn’t had as much variety as the huge ones on 8th but the family feel and location will keep you coming back.

Pretty solid on drinks, coffee is strong, service is quick, and pastries are ok, as long as they are asian pastries. The crème brûlée? Not their forte.

Cheap but not quick. I’ve never had to wait so long for a cup of coffee. Also, don’t bother getting the chicken cutlet sandwich(it’s just frozen chicken nuggets and stale lettuce). But $ 12.50 to feed five people for breakfast gets it at least 3 stars.

The Mega Chocolate Cake Ball was rich and chocolatey and a lot better than I expected. Don’t delve too deeply into why I bought something I didn’t think was going to be that good, but it was better than the average cake at a Chinese bakery.

This place use to be a car service place… but they have closed and been replaced by this bakery. Maple Leaf Bakery looks much nicer(interior wise) than Yi Yi Bakery… but their pasteries and their service isnt as good… Located right across the street from the park and close to the library, its pretty convenient for you to grab your morning fixes… i only come here when i feel lazy, and doesnt want to walk to Yi Yi Bakery or go to 8th Ave…=X
