History

Established in 2007.

I’d been an avid photographer my whole life. At a certain point, I was ready to focus my passion for photography into a business. I’m a natural with kids and people in general. I’ve hosted tv shows, appeared in numerous tv ads, modeled on the other side of the camera, but nothing compares to the love in the room when a family comes together to share their time with me.

I’ve had a lot of different carriers. Born on the Northshore of Chicago, I studied at the University of Iowa before transplanting to Ann Arbor, Michigan, and then Princeton, NJ (where I did construction on, then managed Small World Coffee). I eventually landed in NYC back in 1997. I had a decent acting career here (i was the host of In A Fix on TLC for 96 episodes) prior to focusing all of my business energies on my photography and the studio. My wife, Rachel, is a personal trainer. My two little boys are really cute.

We have used Marc for our kid and family photos since he first opened his studio 3 years ago. I have nothing but good things to say about him. Gorgeous pictures and he works quickly and keeps the kids engaged. He even came to our house in New Jersey last Fall to make it extra easy for us. We are moving to Philadelphia, but will be making the trip to see Marc in Brooklyn when it’s time for more photos!

Marc is an absolute gem and we are so lucky to have found him! We have done a family mini session with him for the past couple of years after Thanksgiving just in time for Christmas cards. He is not only inexpensive (you get a digital download of the session so you own all of the pictures), hysterical in person and practical by providing a quick, 30 minute session (key when you have small children), but we are ALWAYS shocked by how many AMAZING photos there are to choose from. He is extremely talented. My husband who historically hates these sorts of things doesn’t complain anymore because Marc is so easy going, fun and efficient. He is excellent with kids, something he knows all about as he has 2 kids himself. So glad we found him!!!

I have done my maternity pictures and newborn pictures twice with Marc.
He put us at ease, us and my now toddler too. I love his picture, soft and never cheesy.
I like that we keep ownership of all the pictures.

We found Marc when we were looking for a local photographer for newborn photos for our twins. We are so glad we did! Marc is great to work with. He was very responsive and very accommodating when we were trying to schedule that initial shoot with our two preemies. We had the first shoot in his studio, and then did another shoot at 18 months out in Prospect Park. The photos are amazing, and he is really great with the kids (and mom and dad) — he’s a dad and it shows. He’s now our go-​to photographer and I jump at the chance to refer him to friends. On top of all that, he gives you access to all the full resolution photos so you can download them. Yes, you actually own the photos and there are no added costs to purchase them. That was really important to us and part of the reason we went with Marc in the beginning. We used the images to make our own birth announcements. Marc is amazing with kids and innovative as a photographer. These are your dad’s olé family pics, these are artistic, creative and capture the «spirit» of the subjects. We were so glad to spend over an hour with Marc. The kids had a blast playing with his amazing collection of «vintage» toys while he captured their enthusiasm.
