There is only one word to describe mermelsteins. AWFUL. This place looks like its stuck in 1963. Gross food and a gross place. Avoid at all costs.

As a child, this restaurant was my regular after school destination. I usually ordered their meatballs and mashed potatos. Having gone back recently it’s every bit as good as I remember. This place has excellent food, excellent service and exceptional value. The mashed potatos is half the cost compared to the restaurant down the block and it tastes much better.
