Food is spectacular. Service is horrific. Wow, a tale of two extremes. If your hungry, this is the place to go. If you want to be pampered, look elsewhere. There is no other diner in the area. I’ve been coming here for about 10 years and it is pretty consistent with the great food and bad service.

Hunger will make you do weird things. Where’s a snicker when you need one? I needed one on this night instead, I showed up at this joint. Open 24⁄7. Friendly waitress. The End. To better explain myself, the rest of this review must be done in my native dialect, that’s the best way for me to explain. After ah long day ah was real tired and hungry. Real hungry. Passing thru this area an noticing Mike’s Diner open 24⁄7 ah decided to stop. Didn’t read any reviews or nutten. Like ah say, de waitress was real nice. De bread was out of this world good! OMG if ah cud order bread here each day ah will do it an be one happy camper! Ah wonder whey dey order it from? It was deliciously cotton candy soft an almos taste like cotton candy too. Ah detected ah hint of cinnamon buh ah cah be sure. De fresh salad looked weird, it didn’t taste any better. De sauce(dressing) dat came wit it tasted really sour. De shrimp an chips wid ah extra portion ah shrimp was a joke. One huge plate ah obviously frozen box meal that didn’t quite thaw or fry properly. Some parts of the meal was pipping hot, some lukewarm and de res was just cold. If I had come here AFTER ah party dis woulda all make sense and ah sure it wouldah taste real good at dat time. As it was, I was in my right frame ah mind an after some attempts at scrapping de «batter» off the flat shrimp to eat just de shrimp, I really couldn’t manage an left it all there on de plate. Ah didn’t use their ladies room. Ah open de door an close it back. THISIS A SPOTONLYAFTERYUHWASDRINKING! ! Yuh welcome. The End.

Excellent friendly service, amazing food and generous portions. This place made a tough week of hospital visits doable. Thanks, Mike’s Diner!

A friend took me here when I was visiting the area. The service was super friendly and I fell in love with the mushroom swiss omelet. I have been back to visit on my own and got the same great service and delicious food. I love it and will return again and again.

Since we live close by my mom suggested we go here for dinner to avoid cooking one Sunday evening. The food was horrible. I ordered a Chicken dish and it was greasy, overcooked and didn’t taste of any of the ingredients listed on the menu. I asked for a take out bag, took it home, placed it in the fridge and it stayed there until I threw it out. My mom and sister didn’t even go half way through their meals either. I guess you should never go to a diner and order dinner(after all diners are known for eggs and pancakes.) my family and I will never eat here again!

Stopped in Brooklyn and the diner was around the corner. The burgers was thick and filling. The service was friendly and accommodating.

Well it’s a 24 hour diner which is cool, it’s not one of the best I’ve been to by miles… But it gets the job done. The booths here are old school diner feel(duh) and the employees tend to chat amongst each other more than they check on the customers from what I can see. But each individual in here can easily tell you the last thing that flashed across the news, which they should be too busy to do. I stopped coming here to dine in, and I reserve my time for strict take out only. The benches at the bar are not comfortable so believe you will eat and leave. Last time I came in to eat here the food was so so but most importantly it’s the service that’s completely crap. I The food is eh alright but there isn’t one thing worth the rave or mention. However I will say I stick to what I know in life, and I always get egg white western omelette with cheese side of corn beef hash and some coffee… Very very rare that a restaurant can totally botch that order. I will continue to grab and go when I’m on my way to a study session at school, but regardless of its 24 hour nature I won’t spend more time in here then needed. I will say park plaza diner is well worth the drive, because their food is worth all the rants and raves that come with the excursion IJS Oh and I’ve never come in here and found the place packed, there’s always been just a few customers even on weekend mornings which is peak for diners, and my food still takes too long for my personal comfort seeing as though it’s eggs … And pre sliced vegetables … That’s the reason for the low stars. Also this is a rare occasion that i frequent here, once every couple months maybe… Then I get reminded about how damn slow they are for take out and I say ughhhh seriously??? Well, good luck to you! Fyi: I’ll be damned these people still use pad pen and a giant calculator to get my order together… Prehistoric much? to think everything used to be good here and service it just flew down to the ground

Convenient after party location. Tends to be the go to for club hoppers at around 4 to 7. Don’t go those times if you want to eat peacefully. This food is very questionable. I’ve given them many chances as a last second resort but always a fail. If I had to guess what prison food was like, I would guess this place. It is like a diner out of a scary movie, imagine your waitress talking to you and a roach crawling up her apron, she’s unbothered… Am I painting the picture ? Also utensils and cups are dirty. Bring your own. Gets two stars for just existing and being smart enough to pay off the restaurant graders because they should be shut down by now.

Gotta admit this place is nothing like it used to be… Food has kinda gone downhill. Then again it can also be the time of day. I have noticed during the evening the food lacks… Love. It’s like it was being rushed out. I’ve gone many a times during the day for breakfast or lunch and the quality has been different. Quality should be good at all times… Burgers are bland, gyros are greasy… This place is like a roll of the dice… Hit and miss for sure…

Service was terrible. We were given menus, and then forgotten for 15 minutes. We even signaled the waitress, but she was too busy chatting with guys at the bar seats. The barley soup was delicious, but the bread was terrible. They take Italian bread, soak it in water, and then wrap it in paper and either microwave it or put it in the oven. Either way, it’s served as a steamed damp limp mess. The chicken parm was OK. Ive had better food here. The breakfast and lunch is decent, but stay home for dinner.

The service was not good at all, the server took long to bring my girl’s coffee and she forgot my milkshake and when she brought the shake I couldn’t believe the size, it was the smallest milkshake ever! The food was alright, I’ve had much better… The two stars was because the food came quick.

At first it seemed like a pretty legit spot. The place was well lit, there was signs of adequate business, and the staff wasn’t shabby. But when the food came out, I was really turned OFF! It was just terrible. I had a chicken salad wrap, and I ended up biting into what felt like a large grain of sand(or at least that’s what I’m hoping it is). It’s well-priced, but it was really bad quality food. I mean, it’s good only when you’re STARVING. Everything was made with the cheapest ingredients possible, and most of it was just pre-made, re-heated stuff that seemed like they just popped it in a microwave. I’m so disappointed, because it’s really close to my school, and I was REALLY hoping to be a regular there. But nope, I’m going on a search for another diner.

Cute little diner, perfect for late night munchies or when your just leaving the club(It seemed like everyone was coming from the club that night). Service was a little slow and the food is just ok. They have a parking lot and finding parking on the street isn’t too difficult. We were hungry and drunk and wanted to eat somewhere close to home. This diner served its purpose.

I went with some friends after my best friend’s birthday party. Service was bad but we didn’t come in for that! We came in for some greasy goods and that’s what we got! I ordered a cappuccino and an omelet and some toast,(the toast I didn’t get)! Some of my friends had French toasts and pancakes no one got their toasts! Even though the waiter was leaning on the counter, three feet away from us the whole time. He looked like he was too into the conversation he was having with his friend by the counter to remember. I guess toasted white bread is a complicated order at 4 in the morning! The drinks were fine and the food was good but not unforgettable. It should be three stars but the toasts never came so I give them a 2. So his friend takes it upon himself to pay for my $ 9 meal and decided to used that in his pick up line… Who does that??? That was probably the most entertaining part of the night.

This was perfect! Exactly what I was looking for –simple, classic diner, good prices, relaxed atmosphere… I got a great breakfast(pancakes/bacon/home fries/coffee) for about $ 10. Totally solid, exactly what I was expecting. And normally I wouldn’t gush about waitstaff, but Kemya was just excellent. Super friendly, patient, all that good stuff… Wanna give her a shout-out. Mike’s is about a 15 minute walk from my place, so I’ll definitely be going back.

Now I will admit this isn’t the best tasting food I’ve ever eaten, but it wasn’t so bad. I had a vanilla milkshake and cheese omelette with home fries… pretty basic. It was nothing to call home about… just something to fill me up at the moment. Tasted alright though. The woman who served us was really nice and the place was clean. If you are hungry and need a cheap and quick bite in the area, hey why not?

1 star because I don’t have a choice and because IDK how they’ve even managed to exist for this long. I came once just for an egg and cheese on whole wheat toast. It was nothing special and I’ve certainly had better at a bodega. A second time I ended up here with a friend one night after having a few drinks… We weren’t even expecting much, just something to satiate the raging hunger we were beginning to experience. FAIL. Everything was horrible, from the service to the food. Down right awful. I am very particular about my eggs but there is no reason why i should order an omlette and it’s just completely runny, as if they just cracked the egg on top some veggies. Then I send it back and it came back out partially runny. umm EWW. I didn’t even bother sending it back a third time. It seemed like too difficult of a task for the waitress and the kitchen staff. Never again.
