Had dollar oysters, cauliflower soup, trout, and burger.
Everything was good but seriously small. Burger teeny tiny.
Oysters tasted good but were definitely the smallest dry-​est oysters I’ve had.
Trout was ok.
Took like 10 minutes for the soup to come out, but our waiter was really nice. Service from the waiter was great.
Pretty, cute place though.

I was surprised to find that such a cute place wasn’t overly crowded for brunch on a Saturday. There are lots of seats outdoors and indoors, and it’s in a hip and active area. All typical signs of a line out the door and crowds milling on the corner, but our party of three was able to sit right away and we had a wide range of table choices.
My first favorite thing about this place was our server. He was attentive, smiley, and friendly. Just spectacular service!
After that came the food. I really wanted to have one of their breakfast specialities. I eat almost everything except pork, and nearly every dish on the menu had bacon or some other form of pork. When I asked if they had turkey bacon or any other kind of protein, they said unfortunately the only other choice was the fried chicken in the chicken and biscuits dish. That sounded a bit too intense for my first meal of the day so I ended up going with an order of deviled eggs and their berries and granola. A weird combo, definitely, but both were tasty. The deviled eggs weren’t particularly special in flavor, but they were perfectly fine. The yogurt that came with the granola was sheep’s milk and had a unique and interesting flavor. The granola had a great crunch to it, and the berries were sweet and fresh.
It’s a great local spot and I hope that though the foot traffic wasn’t too heavy that it’s doing great business and stays around for a while. I’m looking forward to it being my neighborhood haunt!

I don’t know what’s going on there. My wife and I were regulars enjoy «date night» of $ 1 Happy Hour oysters, dinner and drinks.
After about six weeks, we stopped by the staff we used to know (incl. busboys, cooks) were gone! Instead, we had a waitress who wore cut-​off jean shorts.
Arthur Miller would write a horror story on that alone. But it gets better. 7:30pm and there’s only 3 couples in the house! This place used to be crowded! What’s going on ?
Well, the menu changed. No chicken dish, shrimp cocktail, steak… gone! Our oysters were served on a bed of melted ice. With an empty restaurant, you get to see things.
How about a bartender who wiped his nose/​mustache, but didn’t wash his hands?! You like that– how about Miss Cutoffs addressing her hair, and she too not washing after. These are big time health violations. So I addressed it to Ms Cutoffs!
It’s obvious that they were not trained. It gets better. Mr PotatoHead leaves his bar to have a smoke, came back in, AND WIPED HIS NOSE AGAIN!
Well, we ordered a burger and the pulled pork. Neither was worth coming back for. We are hoping that the weak staff made some money on a Saturday night, but…
Ms Cutoffs offered to buy us a round, but that’s not gonna happen with that bartender!
Hey, Miller Tavern owners, you know who we are. We came there because Walters Food would get overbooked. I even call you to reserve a table and get those two dozen oysters shucked before the 7pm happy hour ends. What you’re doing is putting end to what used to be a good place to eat. I’ve bought out of town family members and friends, but I hope I’m using that sentence in past tense.

Stopped here for brunch before elbowing hipsters on the waterfront. First-​BOGO brunch drinks… we nearly stayed all afternoon with that deal. Both mimosas and belinis were tasty. I had the Jalapeño Biscuits and Gravy and my travel buddy had the Breakfast Burger. Both fortified us for the next few hours as we navigated the wandering hipster zombies that cover Williamsburg.
Hard to beat 2 – 1 $ 8 mimosas. The interior is cute and there are some tasty choices. Don’t miss the fries… mmmm!

Just had brunch here. I had the biscuits n gravy and a bloody Mary. Both were really good, not amazing but really good. The service was excellent, I ordered a beer after the bloody cuz I didn’t realize bloody Marys were 2 for 1 during brunch (bloodys and mimosas are bogo during brunch). The waitress gave me the beer for free since I didn’t know bloodys were bogo. That’s great service! I will definitely be coming back for brunch and also to try there $ 1 oysters ($ 1 oysters 5−7pm everyday).
I was there on a Saturday at 11:30 am and it was basically empty but was starting to fill up as I left an hr later.

I started with the Hot Buttered Rum, made with Dark Rum, Clove and Vermont Butter.
This drink was nice and I loved the cup it was served in! I’m sure you can see the butter clustering at the top of the drink. It had a hint of creaminess from the butter but wasn’t overpowering. If anything, it could have benefited from more clove/​spices in it to up the flavor profile. It was good but not particularly memorable.
For my second drink, I ordered The Regulator — another hot cocktail! It is made with Applejack, Bourbon, and Ginger.
This drink had more flavor, likely due to the Applejack — an Apple Brandy. I really enjoyed it!
After we had our first two cocktails, we ordered a dessert to split between the three of us. We ordered the Molten Chocolate Cake served with gelato and sea salt. For this evening, the gelato was a caramel flavor. SO TASTY!

I live around the block and went for dinner with friends last night for the first time. Let me rephrase– TRIED to go to dinner. We were seated by a gentleman and given a wine list. He then came back and said they didn’t actually have any of the wines on the menu. Fine, no problem. We asked for pricing on the bottles that they did have. He rolled his eyes, proceeded to pull another waitress over and whisper about us, then disappeared downstairs. Every time he came up he made no attempt to walk over to our table and serve us. My friends have never walked out of a restaurant for bad service before, however that changed last night.
For the manager on duty, please be wiser in your choice of staff.

Not having the time for a full blown dinner, which is waiting anxiously in the wings of my schedule, I stopped in for a little happy hour treat.
Half price oysters sounded great in theory, but they seemed slightly malnourished but provided a nice flavor, not overly briney. I did not catch the name exactly of the oysters, something ‘Pearl’ so I referred to my A Geography of Oysters reference book, came up empty.
The two gentleman behind the bar were really working fast and compitently, from taking orders, squeezing what seemed like a hundred lemons and serving us our beer, there was no lack of professionalism at all.
The Bell’s Obron beer was rather flat, but with a brewery with a somewhat limited following, I suppose that can be expected.

Stumbled upon this gem as we were wondering around Williamsburg for dinner last night. We had four of us and only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. We started with an order of bread with this incredibly coffee laced butter spread which was amazing. Three of the four of us were in burger moods and all ordered their burger, all cooked different ways and all were delicious. My brother ordered the pork loin which was also very good. Good service and a small cozy dining room where everyone has a street view. Very happy we stumbled upon it.

Was here for brunch recently. The restaurant was fairly empty but filled up quickly closer to noon.
I had the Biscuits and Gravy and a friend had the Eggs Benedict. The sausage and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The biscuits I found were a bit dry, which was surprising because they seemed hot and fresh out of the oven. The Eggs Benedict was tasty as well. The hollandaise sauce was not overwhelming and the potatoes served with it were nicely seasoned.
I ordered a Bellini and was accidentally brought a Mimosa. The waitress was kind enough to comp me for the drink and bring the correct one.
Brunch prices were reasonable in my opinion. This area is not exactly known for it’s cheap eats. You can pretty much be guaranteed to have something worth the cost at Miller’s though.
Parking over there is hit or miss.

This place is a gem. Rolled in last night with a party of 7. Were seated within 10 mins. Cocktails are decent with your standard twists on gin and whiskey drinks. But where they shine is in their food.
The top section of their menu are small plates and these items were by far my favorite. Next time will do a whole meal of it.
DO NOT MISS:
* Broccoli — You have never tasted chicken liver this scrumptious before
* Roasted Sunchokes — Perfect light curry flavor — you’ll want to drink the sauce
* Cauliflower — Perfect blend of creamy and fresh
* Angel Hair — Almost opted to not get this dish for the table because it seemed so simple. Do not fall prey, this was a table favorite — ORDER THIS. One of the best preparation of pasta I have had lately
* Pork — Presentation and taste could contest with some of the best dishes in manhattan.
Not every dish was spot on:
* Beef small plate — Beef was a bit too large for a small plate and wilted greens were a bit tough on the stem.
*Coffee Can Bread — Could take it or leave it. If you love coffee, you’ll probably love this. But to me, it took up too much space for much more wonderful things to come.
And lastly — Do not skip over desert. Make room because you will not want to miss the molten chocolate cake or Millers take on smores (fritters with brulee marshmellow)
Go there before it gets too crowded. The food is spot on and deserves to be placed in the same category as some of the best in manhattan.

This place sucks. 20 minutes and still no iced coffee or club soda. Not exactly complicated. Not exactly crowded here either.
Everyone here looks like someone close to them just died and the music is atrocious.

Came here on a Sunday purely for the $ 1 oyster Happy Hour! So glad to have found a place that welcomes the Happy Hour even on weekends.
My friend and I arrived around 5pm to an almost empty resturant, with patrons slurping away at their oysters here and there. We nabbed a seat and promptly placed and order for a dz oysters as well as 2 house whites.
An hour later — and never rushed — we stepped out feeling satisfied and happy! Did not have the chance to do dinner there as we had other plans, but Miller’s Tavern is great for drinks and oysters!

What do you do on a sweltering mid afternoon on Memorial Day Monday? You look for a place that serves $ 1 oysters alongside a boozy happy hour.
The place is named after Henry Miller. Dark wood, green walls, and antique books give Miller’s tavern a polished, quaint look, and a sort of study vibe.
HH offers beer and wine half off. Too bad the beer selection is not very inspiring, but on a hot, summer day a nice Hoegaarden goes very well with oysters.
Oyster HH include $ 1 oysters every day 5−7pm. And not just your usual, boring, Bluepoint oysters: our selection included, Spinney Creek oysters[1] (MA): firm texture, briny and salty. Pebble Beach (WA) are smaller in size, more creamy, with a slightly sweet finish.
I didn’t get to try the food, but items like bucatini with braised veal ragu’, or monkfish with scarlet runner beans in bacon broth sure sound titillating[2]. Moreover, the menu also feature game meat, and brunch is served every day.

Talk about a great mistake! A friend and I were suppose to go somewhere else for brunch and when we got there we realized they were cash only… aaaarrrggghhh so annoying.
We walked around the corner and found this place and said why not…
We stumbled onto a true gem of a place. We ordered the steak and eggs w/​grits and the french toast. The steak… AMAZING! The grits were so good we ordered a separate bowl. LOL!Mimosas all around! What more could you ask for?!
Our waiter was super attentive and friendly. Definitely makes the experience even better. I will definitely come back here.

The Boyfriend and I were in Williamsburg trying to get a table at Maison Première. We got there around 5:30 and the wait for JUST a drink was 45minutes. The wait for a table to eat was 2 hours. By then Happy Hour would’ve been over so it defeated the purpose of our visit to try their $ 1 oyster menu. Since the both of us were in the mood for oysters, we did a quick Unilocal search and found Miller’s
I love Miller’s for a variety of reasons.
1. $ 1 Happy Hour Oysters from 5−7pm. I walked in thinking it would be Blue Points since it’s the cheapest in town and it turns out they had an East Coast oyster from CT. Awesome!
2. Half off all draft beers and well drinks from 5−7pm. Score!
3. Their burger and fries are amazing! So juicy and so filling.
Quick tip: Get here early cause by the time we left at about 8pm, they were bustling!

Miller’s Tavern is an absolutely delightful place for brunch. Came here with 2 friends on Sunday to help celebrate my birthday. It’s a small place and it was rather busy, but one of the servers was extremely helpful and told us to grab a drink while we waited for the next available table.
Our friend was coming in from the city and when our table was ready, they sat us down anyway at one of the large communal tables. It was super nice that they didn’t skip us because our full party wasn’t there. We kept ordering drinks and shared a salad in the meantime. She was only about 10 minutes late (thank crappy weekend G train).
The $ 6 brunch cocktails are awesome. My friends were downing the bellinis while I was in heaven over their spicy bloody marys.
The place itself is super cute and extremely welcoming. Everyone working there was nice, helpful and did things as fast as they could considering how busy it was.
Our server was awesome — she didn’t rush us throughout the meal and checked on us to make sure no glass remained empty.
I ordered the biscuits with gravy with scrambled eggs. It looks so good when other people ordered it (although everything looked good), that I couldn’t resist. I get grossed out by runny scrambled eggs, so I was a little worried about that. When I mentioned this to the server, she promised me it would be well done and it was! The eggs were cooked beautifully — best scrambled eggs I ever had outside my own kitchen. The biscuits were soft and melt-​in-​your-​mouth delicious. The gravy, although a funky orangy color, tasted amazing. There were succulent chunks of sausage throughout the meal. Might be the best biscuits & gravy I’ve had in NYC.
One of my friends ordered the eggs benedict and was loving the black forest ham that came with it. I love eggs benny, and these looks really good.
My entire party inhaled our meals — it was so good! I can’t wait to come back here again!!! Between the awesome food, the fabulous staff and the well priced cocktails, this might just be my new favorite brunch spot.
Also, who ever was in charge of the music was rocking some awesome 90s music. It really brought us back and we loved it!
