I hesitated to write this review, as I am aware a negative review can have unpleasant financial ramifications and bringing financial harm to a business is not the type of person I am, but after ten months (giving their treatments time to settle and adjust) and $ 1,850. down the drain, this feeling of disappointment has not subsided.
In March of 2015, I received a Clear and Brilliant laser treatment on my face which was for the purpose of removing the dead layer of skin which is supposed to allow a new, more vibrant complexion to surface. I felt very comfortable with the technician who serviced me. She was super sweet and accommodating. I was told the next few days my complexion would have a reddish color from the treatment – that this was to be expected. The following day, I had more than a reddish complexion. I had burns. Especially around my mouth. Within a few days those burns turned into scabs. Yes, scabs. I returned to their office for Dr. Karlinsky to examine the burns. She insisted that is was due to my skin being sensitive. There is no way I can disprove that sensitivity was an issue but what I did mention to the doctor was that when the technician was applying the laser treatment to my face, I noticed she spent a little more time around the mouth area which wound up being the burned area (in comparison to the other areas of my face which had a good result to the treatment). I felt the uncomfortableness immediately and just hoped for the best. Inwardly, I thought, «oh boy, this doesn’t feel right.» The doctor tried to pick off a piece of the scab insisting that it was not a burn and that it was ok to pick it off. She wanted to see the skin under the scab. That bothered me even more being that I know my skin type and by picking a portion of the scab off prematurely it could chance scarring. She was insistent and spoke to me with a controlled, but nervous, passive aggressive tone. At this point, I was very uncomfortable. A few days later I received a phone call from one of her assistants to check on me and to see if my face had progressed.
Being that the laser treatment was a package deal of three visits, and this experience was the first of the three visits, I decided to skip any additional laser treatments and to transfer the credit to a different service. I decided to use the credit I had to treat my under eye puffiness. In June of 2015, I received their Restylane Silk injection. This is a natural substance that is injected under the eye to help minimize puffiness. It helped eliminate the appearance of puffiness and as well, my dark circles, but it gave me a new area of puffiness underneath the eye. I don’t know the technicalities of the product and procedure but from what I’ve researched sometime the gel can bunch up causing this new area to look puffy. Not pleasing to the eye at all. Not a good trade off. Instead of the puffiness under my eyes, I have a puffiness above my cheeks. At this point I have not contacted them about my disappointment because my experience thus far is that they are not good listeners and honestly, I don’t want to get myself more frustrated. I only take the time to write this because I feel that $ 1,850. is a lot of money to have wasted. By the way, I have pics to prove everything I have stated above.

I have had the honor to have Dr. Vega as my doctor for both of my procedures. I can’t commend enough the professionalism and patient care that I have received not only from Dr. Vega but her staff as well. Dr. Vega made me feel at ease since my initial consultation last year for my first procedure and has continued on, her beside manner and attention has left me at awe. Dr. Karlinsky and everyone in her office were fantastic from start to finish. She was very thoughtful and attentive during the consultation and did not try to upsell me to do any additional procedures (in fact, when I mentioned I wanted to get lipo on my thighs she said I didn’t need to). The results were excellent and Dr. Karlinsky and her staff followed up regularly to make sure there were no problems or questions during the healing process.

At my first meeting with Dr. Karlinsky, I was impressed with her down-​to-​earth warmth. I felt completely comfortable as soon as I met with her. She listened to what I was looking for in terms of my surgery and also gave her input and suggestions. I liked her honesty and her opinions on what would be the best suited for me (based on my physical size and proportions). I have met with Dr. Karlinsky’s staff numerous times prior to and after my surgery. Her staff were also the most professional that I have met in a very long time. Besides being professional, they were the most friendly and helpful staff I’ve met. I will be meeting with Dr. Karlinsky soon for another service because of my confidence and satisfaction in her and her skills as a surgeon. In regards to my surgery, I was absolutely 100% satisfied with the results. I could not be more pleased.

I absolutely love this place… Not only is the staff extremely welcoming and friendly, but the doctors are just as amazing! I am VERY happy with the minor procedures I’ve gotten done and would recommend this place to everyone.

Dr. Karlinsky is amazing. I would not trust my face to anyone else. She addresses all of my concerns, doesn’t push anything at all and will even tell me when I am being ridiculous and am not in need of whatever I am asking for. She is 100% honest and realistic, not an easy combination to achieve. Her staff is truly lovely. Every one of them. I have been going to her for a couple of years and have never been met with anything but kindness and professionalism every single time. If you want an honest opinion and the work of a true artist — see Dr. Karlinsky — she is amazing.

I just had my procedure done today with Dr. Karlinsky and I can’t praise her enough for her attention to detail and bedside manner. Not only is she an artist but she’s a people person. She was very attentive to my needs and made sure I didn’t experience any discomfort. I’ve only met a few doctors in my lifetime that are talented and meticulous but to have all that plus amazing patient care skills can make a huge difference in any clinical setting. Dr. Karlinksy is stellar! Her staff is amazing and knowledgeable as well. They make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. Her office is pristine and very well kept. I will be seeing Dr. Karlinksy for any of my cosmetic procedures now and in the future!

I’ve been coming here every few weeks for the past 4 months or so. I’ve always been treated with grace, patience, and that imperative «third dimension» of medical care: empathy. The office runs efficiently, I’m always seen on time, and out of there within 15 minutes, and I never feel rushed. I keep going back for pretty minor things… because it’s such a damn pleasant experience!

dr karlinsky dr Vega Rebecca and Janette are an amazing team I had liposuction done and dr karlinsky is more than compassionate she is dedicated to providing her patients with the very best care I absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to get liposuction she walks you through everything she truly listens to your concerns she explains everything to you. she makes sure your comfortable I can’t thank them enough for their great work. she’s an amazing Doctor.

It’s always a little nerve wracking finding a new doctor to help you with the anti-​ageing process with dermal fillers etc… but you couldn’t be in better hands than Dr Karlinsky. She is so warm and friendly and very down-​to-​earth. I was clear that I wanted a natural look and she gave me exactly what i was looking for and completely understood my position. I really just can’t recommend her enough.

Dr. K is so sweet and so professional! I would not trust my botox to anyone else. She will be honest with you about what you need and don’t need. The ambiance is beautiful and the staff is always so welcoming. Highly, highly recommend

Got breast augumentation done in January. My results are gorgeous! You would never even know that I had them done. I asked for a very natural look. I got the exact size and look I wanted. My scars are unbelievable. Can barely see them. I have everyone who knows asking me where I got them done. DR. Karlinsky herself is truly a wonderful person who is there to answer any questions anytime you need her. Staff is super friendly and very accommodating. She was pricey but all PS in NY are and the results totally worth it :) highly recommend.

Dr. Karlinsky is truly a wonderful person, as a physician and as human being. I recently had a brazilian butt lift surgery and the moment i stepped into her office i knew it would be okay. The surgery went extremely well. Dr. K had me extremely relaxed and not one bit nervous. The care you will receive at New Look New Life since day one is very personal. Even the non-​medical staff (her husband, Geri, and front desk) are very nice and so helpful. I am recuperating at home and in less than a week I’ll be back at work. Dr. K took all my suggestions and made them into a reality. She gave me the butt i never had and has supported me up until now. I would recommend her services to anyone. I can’t rave enough about how impressed I am with Dr Karlinsky. I first went for a one off Botox I think it was via a Lifebooker coupon. I was nervous but she is so calm and it was all rather painless. I decided to do some fillers also. I go back twice a year now –what am impressed with is not only her calm manner but the fact that she never upsells me any services. I have even asked for more and she’s sent me away saying she would do it but she wants me to think about it (more fillers) and she was right! Most doctors these days would just love to take your money. Truly a great improvement, just a bit addictive cos her small tweaks make all the difference!

I was skeptical, I am 58 year’s old and I have under eye bags, for quite a few years, but i was scared of surgery. I went to visit Dr. Karlinsky for a consultation, and she recommended Restylane filler, I thought for sure she would say surgery so I agreed to the filler to my complete amazement, not only was it painless it took less than 15 minutes. I told the Dr. I would be happy with 50% improvement. well i feel like i got 100% improvement. I couldn’t be happier with the result’s. Dr. Karlinsky does not push anything on you. it’s totally your decision and I am so happy with the results. I must also mention the delightful staff and immaculate office.

Dr. Karlinksy is amazing! I have a tough time finding doctors that I feel take the time to listen, explain, and treat (I’m used to rushing through exams and being sent on endless referrals). Dr. Karlinsky was the exact opposite. I walked into the warm, comfortable, clean office, greeted by 2 very nice receptionists. After a very brief wait, I had a consultation with Dr. Karlinsky. She was straight to the point without rushing me, patient enough to hear out everything I wanted to say and answer every question, and skilled enough to perform a somewhat tricky surgery on me. I had a growth on the tip of my nose that was there all my life. I had been trying to find a doctor to remove it with no luck for several years. Dr. Karlinsky was confident she could take care of it, and assured me it would not be as difficult a procedure as I had previously been led to believe (due to previous doctors who all pushed for me to abandon the pursuit of removing it). So we set the surgery date for a week after the consultation. Once again, there was only a brief wait, then the next thing I knew, the surgery was underway. It was quick and nearly painless, and a week after that I was getting my stitches out. She did an incredible job, you wouldn’t even know there was ever any procedure performed on my nose, much less that there was ever any growth. She is patient, extremely talented, and an excellent communicator. Her prices are fair and her office is comfortable, cozy, and clean. I would recommend Dr. Karlinsky to anyone in the NY area considering any cosmetic procedures, and I will return myself, should the need arise. I’ve never been happier with a doctor in my life (I wish I could find a primary care doctor even a fraction as good). All in all, it was a great experience from start to finish.

I recently had a tummy tuck performed by Dr. Karlinsky and I am more than satisfied with the results! I would highly recommend her services to anyone who asks for a good plastic surgeon. Her office staff is exceptional and helpful and the doctor is very knowledgable and was able to answer any questions I had both before and after the surgery. I am a little over 2 weeks post surgery and I look and feel great! If I ever considered having another procedure I would definitely return to New Look New Life Surgical Arts.

Dr. karlinsky is the most amazing dr. I’ve ever had next to my obgyn. She walked me through everything step by step. Never short or impatient. She gave me her private cell# post surgery to call her ANYTIME! And she means it. She really cares about making the best version of you she can. Amazing is an understatement. Would n have recommended her to everyone. You won’t regret it:-)
