Amazing. Not your typical pizza. The pepperoni garlic knots are ridiculous! Sophia Loren amazaballs. Can’t wait to try the other pizzas!

Look. I get it, sometimes the weight of the world is pushing you down so far into yourself that the only way to get your head out of your ass is the coarse yet blissful end of a noose. Before you liberate your mind from your skull cavity with the shotgun you bought at Wal-Mart(look for my forthcoming Unilocal review), take a moment to consider a respite. A quick trip to a magical realm where tomatoes are squashed, combined with spices, and cooked so they are actually edible(yes I AM serious, I know it’s hard to believe). This«sauce» is spread liberally on a circular piece of dough, and then a blizzard mozzarella cheese falls upon this what-should-be-an-abomination, before the whole thing is baked until golden brown. This concoction is called a «pizza», or «pizza pie» and is all the rage with foodies in the know in 2016. Up until recently I was one of those sad sacks like in the first sentence of this review. I remember that miraculous afternoon well. That morning I had a series of disappointments compound and I had decided that I didn’t need to be a part of this plane of existence any longer. In one morning, I had lost 3 Instagram followers over a controversial photo repost stating my political beliefs, the bodega across the street hadn’t gotten in this new flavor of ice cream I had heard about, and perhaps worst of all, Sony had announced the discontinuation of Betamax tapes. I got a family sized bottle of sleeping pills ready to gently lure me into permanent slumberland and opened a window to get ready to ride the coma canoe. Obviously fate is a thing, because as fast as I opened the window, a delightful smell wafted into my room. I looked out to see some piece of shit eating«a slice». I called to him, «Hark! You, the scoundrel who clearly licks the floors of a funeral parlour! What is that delightful smelling foodstuff you grasp with your ugly, ugly hands?» «Why its a pizza, you human dodo bird!» the awful human responded. «You can purchase one for yourself over at Nino’s, 91103rd Ave!» «Ah! Contract dysentery and waste away alone and unloved, you amoeba!» I shouted as I slammed my window shut and raced out the door to taste the sensation! After punting several small dogs in sweaters that were in my way, I arrived. Red and white flooded my senses. I ordered a «regular» and a «margarita» «slice» plus a «garlic knot» that was filled with«pepperoni» and cheese. The first bite of the«regular» slice was like an angel kissed me with a passion known only to people that actually believe in angels. I devoured the rest in what seemed like seconds. The«margarita» was equally as divine. The«garlic knot» was an explosion of decadence that the Roman Empire would have fed their most talented gladiators after several successful bouts against the guys who unluckily were given the trident and net as weapons. Man, what shitty luck it would be to get those weapons if you are a gladiator. Like, you are trained for months in the art of combat, all this hard work, and your trainer hands you a net and a trident, also known as «guaranteed-painful-death-at-the-hands-of-my-opponent, the weapon». Sure, Poseidon uses a trident, but that dude lives under water. Tridents don’t work on land. Why do you think Trident gum is effective? Because you chew it in your mouth. Which is full of mouth water. I finished my meal and went home. I looked at the bottle of pills and thought, «Nah dawg, if pizza is a thing, you gucci.» Eat at Nino’s, the taste will make you a better person.

Nino’s pizza is a pretty good place. Their grand ma ma is arguably the best in Brooklyn. I always get their mozzarella sticks, they are perfect for when you are hungry, but don’t want to eat a meal. When it comes to pizza, its OK, but a few touches could be added. Finally, I gave this place 3 stars because its too expensive. A slice of pizza for $ 3 is a bit too much. Overall, nice place.

The pie is good. Delivery fast. My mozzarella sticks were cold and that was disappointing, other than that it’s a great pizza joint.

I am not sure about the eat-in experience, but so far I’m 0 — 2 on takeout. I ordered a few plain slices, a few mushroom slices and buffalo chicken. Simple enough order, in my opinion. What a disappointment. The delivery guy treated the situation like a hostage exchange where he wouldn’t give me the box until i’d hand him the money(which i was holding in my hand.) I immediately became very suspicious and didn’t want to give him the money anymore. Unfortunately hunger won over. I gave him what i owed and a fairly nice tip. Begrudgingly, he handed me my order. When i opened the box to the pizza, i had to scratch my head and sigh with disappointment. The best way to describe what i saw is to say that it looked used. It had no bites out of it, nothing of that sort, but it looked old and beaten up. The regular slices looked like they were prepared a week ago and were simply microwaved. The mushroom slices looked the same only they had pale-white mushrooms thrown on top. No, they were not cooked. When i opened my buffalo wings i realized that apparently i had ordered buffalo soup. It was a silver container, filled to the brim with buffalo sauce amidst which i have found scattered pieces of chicken. after tasting everything, i must say that this was one of those rare scenarios where i judged the book by it’s cover and came out totally right. Everything tasted bland and absolutely not fresh. I even tried some of the chicken from my buffalo soup and i think it was ok… but i’m not sure since i couldn’t really taste anything after that much buffalo sauce anymore. So, why two stars and not one? Because i went into this place one time and bought a Pizza Roll, and it was pretty tasty. Not like«OHMYGOD I MUSTHAVEITAGAIN» but more like«Meh… I guess i’ll finish it… just need another bottle of sprite…»

Growing up in Brooklyn, I acquired a distinct taste for what is considered a Brooklyn style pizza. No, I’m not talking about Domino’s mockery attempt. I’m talking about the mom and pop pizzeria that knows how to make a crispy thin crust with a good balance of cheese and tomato sauce. When you fold the pizza like a sandwich, the oil slowly trickles down to the tip. Finally, as you bite into it, it’s a harmony between the thin bottom crust of crispy goodness and the soft yet chewy and cheesy yumminess. And Nino’s offers just that. Quality cheese pizza that brings back memories of the good old days of Brooklyn. I have yet to try their Grandma’s since so many people have raved about them. Grateful that this place is in the neighborhood.

Nino makes the best grandma pie in Bay Ridge and possibly the universe. I’ve since moved to Queens and after 2+ years of exploring haven’t found another pie that could compete with Nino’s. Another note-worthy menu item is their garlic knots. The garlic knots(4 for $ 2.00) are enormous. They are(delightfully!) drenched in olive oil and big chunks of fresh garlic. If you’re a pepperoni fan you can get them sliced in half and made as a fresh mozz and pepperoni sandwich. Definitely ask the notably friendly dudes behind the counter to throw that shit in the oven for a minute. The Granmama pie is the bomb. The slices are square. They are thin, crispy and perfectly seasoned. This is one of the only slices I don’t find myself reaching for whatever seasoning shakers are available. I’ve been a customer here for many years and plan on continuing my patronage for many more as long as they keep that Granmama pie on the menu.

Most pizza places have your typical run of the mill pizza. But Nino’s slices are flavorful and unique. I particularly enjoyed the white slice, grandma ma slice and sophia loren slice. And be sure to have a stuffed garlic knot, like the pizza they were also one of a kind. I will definitely be back.

I just moved to Bayridge and so far this is the best pizza place in Bayridge! Hands down. A combination of tasty tomato sauce, enough amount of tasty cheese and thin crust. They also serve salad, soup and sandwiches

Excellent pizza. Not too greasy, delicious sauce, exact right amount of cheese. I picked it up myself, which based on some of the other reviews here might be the thing to do.

Despite its proximity to my old apartment I very rarely ate at Nino’s unless someone else wanted to go. I’ve been five times and I can distinctly recall each person who dragged me to the establishment. It’s not that it’s a bad spot, I just don’t eat pizza all that often. I love it, but I tend seek out other food more. I always forget that this place accepts credit card since I very rarely ever get anything over $ 10. The pizza is alright, pretty greasy, and I find that even when they reheat the slices the cheese doesn’t get ooey gooey. My favorite thing to get from here is the garlic knots, they’re super delicious and super cheap. Less than $ 3 for four and that’s enough to fill me up. However, I would appreciate it if the people working here didn’t try to hit on me. It makes coming here a bit unpleasant.

I am totally disappointed in this pizza place. It was delivered very sloppy and distasteful. Will never order from them again. Yuck. Order from Grandma Pizza is the 70’s on 3rd. Super super superior then this place.

I did not enjoy the pie delivered tonight at all, and wound up throwing it out. I received the customary undercooked crust, a very runny and messy pizza, in a box that was crushed and opened in various areas of it. Never again. I also have a comment about that damn coupon they stamp on the box expecting people to cut it out of the cardboard box. Are you kidding me? Why not establish a free pie giveaway after an individual orders so many.

Having seen this spot on the Slice blog nearly 3 years ago, they’ve apparently fallen off. Typos abound on the displays, and the gran ma ma was ok, but greasy & unevenly cooked. Paid cash due to the $ 10 card minimum. They share a name with the St Marks(EV) spot, but haven’t researched if they’re affiliated.

Bumping to 4-stars as I recently returned and the pizza was not at all greasy. I still feel it tastes better when prepared fresh and eaten in the store, but what pizza doesn’t? Nino’s definitely makes some good pies and I will be back for sure.

Simply put this is my within a 100 yard walking distance pizzeria and I’ve always enjoyed their offerings over the past ten years that I have been at my apartment that’s located right nearby. Generally speaking I go with the traditional round cheese pie and seldom get any additional items on it, but when I do I opt for either sausage, pepperoni or meatball(can you tell I am not Vegan?). There was one occasion that I chose their«Special Pie» which has all of the above options along with peppers and mushrooms but this is a pricy choice and a bit much in terms of filling. Not that this is a bad thing. They offer some other nice dining choices here and some are the calzones, garlic knots(which I love) and even a special garlic knot with pepperoni on it. There are potato croquets, pinwheels and a few assorted types of specialty pizzas that are made regularly for sale(Grandma, Chicken and Broccoli etc.). These are tasty and I have tried the more gourmet type choices on a slice by slice basis. Their garlic knots are loaded with the tasty vegetable but make sure that you ask them to give you a cup of the marinara sauce as well since it adds to the enjoyment. Space wise there are about a half dozen tables and they keep the place clean. I have not really sat down and eaten here in some time unless its a quick food stop with a friend who wants to do that right there. No complaints on this of course. Overall I feel Nino’s does right by their customers. The prices are reasonable by comparison to other pizza places in the vicinity.

If you want some of the best pizza in Brooklyn then this is the place to go. It’s not the best, but pretty damn close. Their vodka slices are my favorite. They do quite a few things well. I wish they would stay open a little later at night. I’m constantly walking in as they’re cleaning up.
