Oakley’s Carwash

I’ve been coming to Oakley’s for years and am always happy with my shiny new car after they wash it. Also their oil changes are really convenient and fast. If a bird poops on your car within 48 hours, they let you do an exterior wash for free. Good people and great service.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. As many others have indicated in the google reviews, your car will come out with dozens of light scratches all over which speaks volumes about the shitty equipment they use (and/​or poor maintenance of it). I would need to spend hundreds of dollars on a paint job just to fix to the damage this car wash did to my brand new car. To top it off, one of my bumper guards fell off and I asked the attendants to go find it and they all just stood there and ignored me. Finally, one of the attendants emerges with it from the inside and tosses it in the trash. Terrible service coupled with rude attendants. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR CAR ALL SCRATCHED UP!

Did the exterior wash which keeps going up in price. Car was dirty coming out and they refused to go over it. Will be taking my business to Grand Car Wash from now on.

The service that I was given was not a pleasant one. My floor was full of feet tracks. My windows in finger prints. If you see my reviews it’s very hard for me to give a bad one. This place definitely worth the 1 star

This place is always busy, from the line to get in the carwash, as well as the heaps of cars outside and even on the street getting detailed and dried. They offer multiple packages, and of course add ons, which are a bit more expensive than other places, but at least they do a decent job. I usually end up paying around $ 15 for a wash and dry, with tire shine. I don’t do all the other wax products because my car is new. On the weekends, the lines are usually long and it takes a while to get your car back. During the weekday, it is better, and the wait time is less. Inside they have a long wall full of air fresheners, car accessories, mats, etc. You pay for the wash at the front of the store. I always give the guys doing the drying and the tire shine a little tip, this way when I keep coming back they do remember, and spiff up their work in anticipation of getting a tip.

I had my wife go to these guys for an oil change while I was away on military orders. 2 days later my truck died right in the middle of 4^th Ave down by the Barclay Center with my pregnant wife stranded while I was still away. I called my roadside assistance and had the truck towed to a nearby pep boys where they looked over the truck and told me there were 2 problems I know didn’t exist before. I work on my truck myself and I know ever inch of it. So these guys obviously messed around with something they should have not! Now a couple months later I go to do an oil change and transmission flush and the nuts are so tight that I can’t break them loose and they are becoming stripped as I try…
These guys are pure scum! They will alter your vehicle to try and lure you back for business.
STAY AWAY!!!
Also, my wife knows a lot about this truck and they were trying to haggle with her (a pregnant woman) to get other services done that weren’t needed at the time when she got the oil change. What A-​holes!

This is probably the best place around Brighton beach to get your car cleaned up. Nothing exceptional, but for $ 15 you get your car washed, vacuumed and hand dried in about 5 minutes. Very efficient car wash.

My1st and last time going to this place. They did a horrible job and to top it off MY CHANGE WAS STOLEN FROM MY CHANGE HOLDER. I would never go back to this place OR recommend this place to anyone either.

I have been coming here for a year to service and wash my CRV and I think they are terrific. Some customers have no problem savaging a business on Unilocal.Maybe they were having a bad day or didn’t eat their raisin brand that morning. Obviously management is concerned and monitors these pages. No business is perfect, but why is it so easy for some of you to go on Unilocal and try to destroy a business. If you have a problem go to management for a resolution.

I have been a customer of Oakley’s for many years, primarily for when I rent cars. I no longer live nearby but I’ve always thought they did the best job. I went out of my way recently to go here, and I’ve never seen a lazier crew. It was cloudy out so there weren’t many customers that morning, and no excuse for not doing a good job. I wound up cleaning the interior, after they supposedly cleaned it. I’m hoping this was just one bad day.

The bad reviews are all pretty accurate and believale. They forget things all the time and cut corners and always, and i mean always, door a poor job drying afterwards. After i had mentioned it to the same man few times once and he still forgot to do it i just stopped going. Also their power wash seemed to leave circular marks on your car more so than anywhere. But one thing is for sure, after going there for some time you will likely be frustrated about one thing or another. Started going to hi-​tek, who is not great but certainly better than oakleys.

Got a full service wash here the other day.
The location is great, the line moves reasonably fast, and they offer a variety of levels, from exterior only to a very detailed in and out job, the kind they recommend before you return your car from a lease. Makes sense. All this is wonderful, except for the quality of the work you actually receive.
As I said, I opted for Full Service. It was far from full, or much of a service. The car wasn’t overly dirty, I had it washed just 5 day prior, it mostly just had the usual spring time pollen covering it, and a couple of bird poop over the windshield wipers. After the car came out of the wash, they wiped it down with rags that looked already wet, and did more of smudging than drying. I wasn’t happy. The cup holders were not cleaned at all, the mats were not replaced properly, the side mirrors and rear windshield was never dried. So after driving away, I decided to pull over and wipe down the water still running on the windshield, myself. That’s when I noticed that to top off my disappointment with everything they didn’t take care of, the bird poop was still on the wipers as well.
Just what exactly did I pay the $ 13 for then?

DON’T GO HERE, YOU WOULD HAVE TO WASH YOUR CAR AFTERWARDS!!!
The price was 38 dollars however I gave the man two extra dollars for him to do extra vacuum since I have my dog in the car most of the time. After the man was done, the wheel and the shift was very sticky. The carpeting in the front was not vacuumed and the back looked the same. Even the outside has dirty spots. What’s the point of going to a car wash where you have to clean it yourself after wards. I am not going here ever again. I thought I would try this place but I rather stick to my usual spot where I pay ten bucks for and they do the same job.

Very disappointed. Be cautious!
Had my car washed 5÷9÷15 for 21.- something.
When mats were removed clip holding driver mat was broken, noticed only next day when mat started moving around.
When car came out of wash after guys finished with towels car looked terrible.
Spotty, had stains like something was poured over and slid down. Door arcs partially cleaned, roof had still dirt on. It was white minivan so everything plainly visible.
If people cant do the job I think it would be fare to be advised before wash than surprised after.
Be careful !!!

Poorly done wash, Rude customer service.
I went to get my car washed last night at around 10pm after work & running errands. I went through the auto wash which was obviously same as always. There were two men who wiped the car down. The rags they were using had to be the ones they used the entire day previous to my arrival because they left dirty smears all over my windows. They didn’t even do a thorough job drying it but I said screw it, it’s cleaner than it was before, so I left and didnt say anything.
This morning, it rained [just my luck]. I called up Oakley’s because I knew they [like ALL carwashes] have rain guarantees. The girl that answered the phone told me that they do in fact have a 48 hour rain guarantee… but not on washes done after 6pm. That made no sense to me because I expect most people work and can’t get to a car wash before 6pm [i guess thats the point?] and its the same business no matter what time the car is washed so whats the deal? I asked her why thats the policy, she mumbled something about not knowing, put me on hold, came back and said «i dont know why» to which I told her thats ridiculous and that they were losing my business. She laughed and hung up the phone. How lovely.
20 minutes later I called back– too peeved by her behavior to let it go. I immediately asked for the manager and got a man on the phone. I told him about my exchange with the girl and got no apology for her rudeness nor did I get an explanation as to this «policy» aside from «thats the policy». I told him that I was disappointed with customer service and that I would be reluctant to get any repeat service at Oakleys. His response? «Okay.»
I’ve bee going to Oakleys for years– even though the service has gradually worsened over the past few years. Funny enough, given that their service is getting worse, their prices are getting higher. It used to be 5 bucks to get the night wash, now its 7. For rudeness and a crappy wash, I can hose down my own car.
There are a thousand different car washes in brooklyn, I definitely will be taking my business elsewhere. I actually dont even live in the area anymore and make sure to stop by and get a wash when I’m around because I am so used to that place.
And just a P, S– there are SIX cars in my household alone. You guys just lost a ton of business. Kudos.

Crappy as always. Today they forgot to clean passenger front door step. Some spots were left wet. People scratched lottery as they cleaned my car. And all that for $ 13. Worst carwash on Sheepshead Bay.

Been going here since 1997. Love this place i work in Brooklyn and always make sure i stop by for a wash on my way home at least once a week. Always a good job washing and cleaning my cars. The long lines are worth the wait. They are fairly priced and open late with late evening discounts. I live in staten island and all our car washes out here are at least a few dollars more. Defintiely worth the wait in those long lines on post snowy days

I started going to this car wash after I had an unhappy experience at my neighborhood location. But I’ll be sticking with this place for awhile. Their service surpasses the results that I got in the past at my neighborhood car wash.
This past winter my car has been at its dirtiest with all the ice and salt but one trip to this car wash and he looks shiny and brand new. The best part is that shiny look lasts for days even through snow and rain!
For example, my car was washed this past Thursday — I’m writing this review on a Saturday and he’s still shiny even though the past snowfall we just had. The only negative that I really see is the long lines because there are always long lines. But that just shows that people are returning and willing to wait for a reason.
One Unilocaler mentioned that their cup holders were left dirty after a wash-​another negative. This is true depending on the wash package that you purchase unfortunately according to staff. But I’ll definitely be a regular here even if I have to clean my own cup holders LOL

This place has way too many stars on Unilocal.About 4 yrs ago it was an okay place to go to. Currently this is a waste of money! Every single time that I washed my car here within the past year or two has been a disgusting experience and the car always left dirty both inside and out. After a car wash last week I have decided that I will never spend a dime at this car wash ever again! I came to get a basic car wash (in and out). Being a female, I felt like the male that takes in cars for a wash tried to rip me off. He tried to sell me a fancy wash saying how dirty my car was. When I politely declined several times he continued to be rude and insisting I get that wash. I didn’t think that wash was necessary for me especially during the winter, and I am also not a push over therefore he was not successful! As usual, the outside of the car wasn’t completely clean as well as the inside. I actually decided to take a picture of the cup holder AFTER the car wash for my fellow Unilocalers! Please stay away.

Four stars and not five because it does take a long wait sometimes and the front persons are sometimes rude. :(
Only car wash that lasts few weeks for my X3.
So far I have been coming here for at least 5 years from traveling from Bay-​ridge.
I’ve heard horror stories about car washes.
This is only car wash I trust to do a good job and not damage my car.
So far so good.
