from Victorian era nightgowns to flapper hats to 90s tie dye, we are rich in history! but haven’t gotten around to making much of our own yet, we just opened!

Before Olly Oxen Free, I worked in architecture, landscape architecture, and graphic design in Italy and NYC. I’m very happy to be out of the office and meeting all you interesting folks who pass through my shop on a daily basis instead. So come by and introduce yourself! There’s a reason the shop is on the street and not online :) I feel lucky that my habit of scouring rural yard sales across the country and combing through interesting attics in Europe led to being able to open a store in a neighborhood I love.

The weird and unusual and psychedelic abounds here.

Best vintage store in the area hands down. I love this place.
Beautifully selected, reasonably priced and some serious variety. They have an array of knick knacks, hats, jackets, shoes, blankets… some things a steal others a bit more on the pricey side with good reason. If you like browsing come check this place out. Suzie is the amazing woman responsible for selecting the pieces so if you are looking for something in particular she will do all she can to point you in the right direction.

Best vintage fashion shop in town. This isn’t your usual vintage clothing store, it’s beautifully curated and expertly selected clothing styles and accessories that you wont find anywhere else. We find gems here each time we visit, not to be missed!

AWESOME stuff! The inventory is terrific, no junky filler, just terrific vintage and retro styles. I scored some brand new red Justin Ropers and almost bought a Ralph Steadman poster and a Pentangle vinyl but I had to stop myself… Suzy, the owner, is super sweet and very knowledgable about the items in the store. This place rules :)

Very well-​curated selection of vintage wear. I used to live only a block away from this place, and though I now live in a different neighborhood my boyfriend and I still make the trip every other weekend to Olly Oxen to get our vintage fix. We’ve both scored a couple of awesome vintage finds – and all at good and reasonable prices!

Truly special place with a warm, welcoming vibe. I’m not a huge vintage shopper, but I know a good store from a «meh» one, and this place rules! So much fun. Nicely organized and laid out– manages to feel like a wall-​to-​wall treasure chest of clothing and home goods without feeling claustrophobic. I was really impressed by the selection too. Every piece was cool and unique, clearly selected by someone who knows what they’re doing. Lots of cheaper stuff too, and not a pit stain in the house! It’s on a sleepy block, so they’re not constantly being raided by locusts. Bad for the owner I suppose, but good for me!

Olly Oxen Free is an experience not to be missed! The owner has stocked extremely hard to find items that I have not found at other vintage shops. The prices are reasonable and the ambiance is welcoming.

Sweet place; nice clothing selection. They have a bunch of cool vintage 70s hippie stuff from India (guys’ & girls’). I snagged a couple of the shirts.
They also have a nice selection of other vintage goodies besides clothes: plates & glasses, lps, and just random cool items.
With the closing of the Vortex, and Zukkies becoming increasingly bicycle-​focused, it’s nice to have a vintage store off the Montrose stop. (And a good one.)

I was visiting my friend in Bushwick and we visited this shop together. It is incredibly charming and has a great selection of men’s and women’s vintage clothes for totally reasonable prices.
The store owner is super nice and attentive.
Though I don’t do too much vintage shopping (or shopping generally), I would definitely come back here and check out what they have on the racks.
