One Stop Service

I have lived in the neighborhood for years and get a lot of stuff dry cleaned and tailored, and this is the only spot you need to go to. Victor is lovely and talented. I have run in there with last minute alterations or other clothing related emergencies and he always saves the day with a smile. I’ve also had him clean silk and leather items and he always talks me through the process beforehand and told me of any potential issues. Seriously, this is the place.

i have used this cleaner many times for drop off service and although it is pricier than the usual place i go down court street, i still drop off about once every two weeks. i have definitely spent a lot of money here.
on a tuesday evening i picked up a dress that i had dropped off a few days prior for dry cleaning. i was supposed to wear this dress to a wedding that saturday. when i got home i took it out of the bag and realized that the print on the dress was completely faded off… the dress was ruined. i went back to ONE STOP and the owner asked me why i walked it home if it was ruined… like i did something to it in the five minutes i was gone??? wtf!!! i started laughing. are you serious? i told him the dress was completed faded and showed him a photo of the dress prior to drop off, which i had in my phone. he mumbled his words and kept looking at the dress reading the directions (DRY CLEAN) in black and white. he told me it wasn’t his fault! umm… you’re a dry cleaner. i dropped off a dress to be dry cleaned and now it is ruined. i think it IS your fault. he told me it was the quality of the dress. HAHAHAHAHAH OK!!! i couldn’t believe this guy. he even suggested that he could send it to be fixed (how i don’t know) but it would cost me more money!
i honestly thought he was kidding. i just looked at him and said «ok, just please refund me the dry cleaning bill». he said NO! that it wasn’t his fault. is this guy for real? i asked for money back from like a $ 12 dry cleaning bill… and he couldn’t even do that. i didn’t ask for him to pay for the dress that he ruined. $ 12! an average load of laundry that i drop off costs $ 17 and he can’t refund me a dinky dry cleaning bill?
i’m no graduate of Wharton or a business owner myself but you’re willing to piss off a customer who brings you tons of laundry business over a dry cleaning bill? WOW!!!
i understand that shit happens and honestly would have kept using him for laundry service if he had handled this situation professionally, but WOW. JUST WOW!
i stormed out. he just lost a pretty good customer. doesn’t really make sense. i could have made a bigger deal out of this considering the dress is ruined, but he kind of did me a favor by narrowing down my dry cleaning options in a neighborhood FULL of his competitors. thanks!
just read the response from the business owner. trust me… it is the same exact dress and he knows this! why in the world would i make this up? i had the dress shortened two inches prior to cleaning. same dress. any person with half a brain can see the first one was taken in a mirror… you know… that creates a reflection!!!

yes victor, you are right. in the first photo the dress is perfectly fine and in the second one it is completely ruined. two different dresses. thanks again.

Victor is hard working, takes great care of his customers and he’s also a master tailor.
Want him to sew you a silk duvet cover? No problem! To hand wash a heavy winter jacket? No problem!

FINALLY! After a year of living in Carroll Gardens, I have finally found a convenient, reasonably priced, friendly, professional and high quality place to bring my duds for alterations, dry cleaning and wash/​fold services. It truly is «One Stop». Victor is kind and honest. I brought in a vintage dress with a broken «hidden» zipper and he told me it would be tough but that he could do it and for a reasonable price. The dress is good as new! My dry cleaning and wash/​fold laundry is typically ready the same day and they do not ruin my clothes! I am pleased with everything about my experiences here and recommend this over all the other laundry places in the vicinity.
