If there was a zero star option this store would receive it.
Most people know what to expect at a Payless Store. The shoes are never the most durable but they are cheap and usually laid out so its easy to find your size.
I’ve been in at least 5 other Payless Locations in NYC and they have always been clean, well maintained and the staff at least passably helpful.
None of that is evident at this store. All the seats and nearly all mirrors are broken and taped together. There are numerous liquid stains on the carpet. The merchandise is a mess and the staff are downright rude.
Spend 20 mins on the subway to Another location unless you’re really desperate.
