I stopped by on Sat at 8:42 am, but the store was closed… Wrong business hours??? so I came back later in the middle of the day and asked the owner what time they are open? The store open at 9:00 Mon-​sat and 9:30 on Sunday.
I like the variety of food and the prices!

This store is great. They know a lot about their merchandise and give good suggestions. Their prices are comparable to major retailers. In fact, we got Orijen dog treats for $ 11.79 here. It was $ 13.99 on
. They have a lot of high end brands that are hard to find in person. There is a lot to choose from.

I just go there when I have to buy my dogs food in an emergency!!! The lady is very rude!!! Usually the guy is more patient and he always try to help… I went there today and they have a $ 20 minimum on cards!!! I told her that is not legal in NYC to have a minimum and this rude lady told me that she being in court for that already!!! That she can’t swipe my card cause she has to pay fees for swiping and bla bla bla… I’ll try not go there never again. And I hope some of you share the feeling that this place need less miserable people to deal with the customer… Crazy old lady!!!

This place has a large variety for most pets, being so small I didn’t expect the variety they had of top quality cat food.
The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable as well.
If you’re being swayed by negative reviews just pop in and see for yourself. Great local pet store; I won’t be going to Atlantic Ave anymore with this place in the neighborhood.

Ok to all the jerks with low ratings, you’re nuts!!! This is a family place! They really care for animals here! I’ve been coming here since I got my first dog 3 years ago! They always treat my dogs with love and ask about they’re well being. They are honest about what food is good for your dog and they are way cheaper than literally any other dog place. I have healthy and happy dogs cuz I starred coming here cuz I had no idea how to take care of a pup. They tought me everything I know!!! This is exactly the type of place every pet owner needs!!! My Bella and Duchess love it here!

I’ve been going to the place for nearly 8 years and the staff is very helpful. The owner, Mark, orders items if you ask for stuff that’s out of stock. He is also very knowlegeable on pet health. Prices are fair. This store has almost every item you need. It’s has better stock than Petco, Target etc. One thing– check dates.

I find this place to be very helpful and friendly when I go here for my cat food, litter and liners.
Monthly I walk into this location, grab a crap load of cat supplies like some lonely old lady and bring it to the counter. The owner and cashier lady is typical Brooklyn Italian, which I love. She yells to the back, «SOMEONE ANSWER THE PHONE IM BUSY UP HERE, JESUS»
The prices are comparable to places like Petco, Target and other places you would buy animal supplies, but they are a small family business and I love supporting those, especially in these parts of Brooklyn that are still old school in many parts.
and unlike what the pervious post said, it is NOT called Pet DOG Delight. Its simply Pet Delight.

Their fish section is absolutely horrible (yay, everything’s dead!) and yet it somehow takes up half the floorspace. And the store is named Dog Delight. There’s gotta be some irony to what I just said.
