I love this salon. The salon owner is the best. She takes good care of you and trust me you won’t leave there disappointed. I love Karen she is the best. I went somewhere else the day before and paid a pretty penny to get my hair done and was very unhappy with it. The next day I went to Karen and was very pleased. I used to go to her years ago andI have known her for a couple of years. I had forgotten about her because I haven’t cut my hair in a while but I’m back on my short and sleek look and she got my business.

I needed a great salon to switch to because the dominican salon I was going to totally damaged my hair. I live in queens but will travel as far as I need to for a great salon and stylist, and I wanted a salon that catered to black hair. After reading the first two reviews I decided to give them a try. I called Karen and made an appt for the next day. When I walked in I was pleased with the décor and overall vibe. I needed a touch up and Karen gave me a great trim and bangs. She was very pleasant and professional, as was the rest of the staff. There wasn’t any gossip or ghetto nonsense going on here. This is my new salon for sure !!!

I absoluttely love this salon, I will write a review anywhere I can. Karan helped my thinning hair grow back to its fullest. There is never a crazy wait even on Saturdays. The professionalism in this salon is bar none. I will never go anywhere else.

My flight was at 7:40pm. I walked into my usual salon. I had made my appointment for the day before. :-(:-(:-(Any woman in dire need of a touch up knows the gravity of this debacle lol (seriously tho).
Most of the salons near me NEVER do what I ask them to do. There is an addiction to stiff spritz hairspray and styles in my neighborhood. I ask for NO hairspray, knowing they can’t help but spray the sticky, stiff stuff. WHAT. Is the point. Of washing my hair. JUST to put all that nasty product in it???
Well, I walked into Platinum Images & immediately thought, «This is cute.» It was Friday so I was prepared for there to be an enormous wait time. It was about 3:30pm. Maybe, I beat the after work crowd. The wait wasn’t long. There were two people ahead of me. The lady who washed hair was pleasant. Karan the owner, styled my hair. The pricing was fair. There was no attitude. The shop was clean. It was great! Exactly what I asked for. I left feeling triumphant & cute.
