Where do I start they sell you a car that is completely not ready to go back on the road. You will be back within 2 months with a list of complaints. Do not purchase from these shady business men, if you can even call them that. Very sour taste from this company

Service dept is a black hole of delays when it comes to picking up your car. I didn’t buy my Toyota here but only come here for the frequent recalls on my RAV4. You have to be ready to devote an hour to picking up your car when it’s ready. It’s insane

I brought my car in for regular maintenance and also because our check engine light was on. Everyone was super friendly and cheerful, lightening up what is usually a pretty stressful and annoying process! They explained everything from A-​Z and whereas they’re not cheap, they’re not just some hole in the wall junk shop. Professional, clean, efficient, everything I look for. My car was ready the next day and I received a call bright and early telling me that it’s ready. Will definitely recommend this place to people!

After 12 calendar days at the shop where I would call every day and hot one call returned the car was still not fixed correctly. Wheel and steering wheel not aligned and safety belt light is on even after I put on my seat belt. The first day I took the car to plaza Kia was June 27 today is August 13 and I refuse to take it back to them I will spend the extra money and take it somewhere.

Omg where do I start,
The Internet listed used car was disgusting on the inside, fries, dirt, grime, oil on the exterior, aftermarket radio speakers removed with wires coming out of the floor and now the oem speakers don’t work, plus holes in the interior for a DVD player that was removed. After all that the sales person felt it was his duty to let me know that the price is the price and I would have to pay sucker… Excuse me, sticker price for the car because they don’t discount internet prices. Really? Anyway I feel that the dealership only sees dollar signs when people walk in the door and they don’t respect the customer. I should have listened to all the other bad reviews. Stay away!

Terrible place. I put down a fully guaranteed $ 100. Deposit. I was told i can cancell within 48 hours by phone. When i called the next day i got the run around. I kept calling. Finally spoke to the manager who i was introduced toon person. He said he doesn’t remember me and i have to come in. He gave me his hours .i came in and he wasn’t there. At first no one wanted to help me. Finally someone in accounting said he’ll have the manager take care of it. Nothing happened. I had to go there again and no apology it was a miserable experience

Listen people STAY AWAY from the Kia Service worst customer service I have ever experience. Lord I don’ t even know where to start with my review my husband and I went in for a recall we were not called to see what was going on with the SUV we had to simply show up there to be greeted my know body it was about 7 pm oh and the website says they close at 9 people it doesn’t even end there when we went the following day the car was not working proptly they had to once again start working on the car long story short it took them 5 whole days to fix the problem plus change some parts on the suv they did provide a loaner car after I had to have a tantrum there. Which I honestly know that that should had never had happen my advice to all customers is stay away from there I don’t rate this place a zero star because it does not allow me. When I have to do service once again to my suv I will drive even out to Long Island not to ever to to this place again. WORST PLACE EVER STAY AWAY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE NO COMMUNICATION

CLASSIC NYC SCAM ARTISTS. I need to sell my car and put an ad on CL. I was contacted by email from Petra at Plaza Auto, and despite a bad reputation they convinced me on the phone that they were interested in a fair market value deal for my car. I specifically asked Kim (who I was handed off to after the scam began, as Petra wasn’t even working there) if they were interested in looking at a car if I wasn’t interested in a trade-​in and she said absolutely and that if everything checks out that somewhere in the range of KBB is what if could expect for my car. What liars.
From the moment I walked in there I should have known it was a scam. No customers anywhere and a lot of «hungry» sales people. Some were very gracious but I was immediately hit with the run around. I was led to a different bldg and a completely different dep. and after seeking numerous diff ppl we were given ALI. What a mess this guy is. He is the definition of slimy used car salesman. He wouldn’t speak much but as he «checked out» my car made various snide comments. My car is not perfect but after shopping it around a few places (and getting offfers btw 6000 – 7000) I was insulted when he shook his head and said the beat he could do «if I wouldn’t trade it in there» was 2500. He said he couldn’t offer one penny past that and told me to take a hike. When I asked how a car that he sells for approx 10,000 with no structural damage and runs great could be that low (with KBB coming in at approx 8600) he told me they had to «re-​condition» it. He obviously didn’t ever wanna offer me cash for the car-​and definitely did not act in good faith whatsoever.
I took a lot of time heading over there and was lied to from the start. Even his associate came over and after I explained it all to him said to my face that he had «no idea» why he came up with that number (after attempting to defend him-​which were are futile.) I read the other reviews now and I contacted BBB and it seems like they do this stuff a lot. I wouldn’t trust them at ALL. Just try being honest once-​you are the reason ppl hate buying cars. Truly terrible service BUYER BEWARE… one good guy there Phil tried to help, but we both knew after talking (and Phil saying it wasn’t his dept) that I was scammed and lied to

Do yourself a favor and do not waste time at these dealerships! At least at Honda and Acura (which is where I went) …first went into Acura spent about two hours there reached a deal, decided to check out Honda across the street quickly, told the dealer I’ll be back. Came back an hour later, I got a completely different quote and an angry manager that was practically screaming at me trying to prove that he is giving me a good deal. Disgusting service, stay away!!! Now Honda is a tiny bit better, but still, a bunch of rude sales men !! Being a Honda customer for over ten years and a previous plaza auto mall customer I would at least deserve a normal human being like service. Will never give these people business. Just leased my car from nj, day and night experience! I also heard bay ridge Honda is good!

I found Plaza Auto from BJs auto buying club. I want a Highlander Hybrid and they told me they had 2 in stock. I drove all the way from NJ and then they tell me I can’t buy it unless we have TLC or livery business. Then they try to convince me to buy a regular Highlander if I wanted a regular Highlander I would’ve purchased one in New Jersey and I wouldn’t of driven all the way to Brooklyn it was a complete waste of my time.

So after making an appointment to bring my car in for a routine check up, I headed over there this morning when I got there the line of cars waiting was sooooo long. However I waited, I then turned my car over to them and waited to be called, about an hour later I was called into an office and I explained why I brought my car in, then I asked how long would is have to wait he said a hour an a half so I waited, a hour and a half turned into four long ass hours. When I finally received my car from one of their rude ass attendants and my USB cord was missing I asked the guy for it he said with an attitude hold on let me look for it, but he never came back. So I went into the office and told the girl that was checking off the appointments, she sent out who I assumed was the manager who searched my car and of course couldn’t find it, so he went to «look» for it, a few mins later both him and another guy comes out and said we can’t find it, and we don’t have an iPhone so we didn’t take it (of course I know someone stole it) so pissed and hungry and speed off when i finally got as far away from that place I looked into where I leave my loose change and a few singles just to make sure they didn’t put it there and what did I notice? Well that my money was missing as well. So not only did the ruin my entire morning but they stole from my car, I hate that place!!! By the way this all happened on the Toyotas side

Everything about my experience at this dealer was terrible. This review is long, but my inventory of their lies and shady behavior is long and requires it.
My wife and I spent quite a bit of time thinking about buying a car, exploring our budget to determine what was realistic for us, and researching used cars through Kelly Blue Book and Consumer Reports.
When we were ready to purchase, we looked online for a used Toyota, Honda or Mazda in the $ 6000 range. We were comfortable with a 10 year old or older car, and empowered with market research on both pricing and longevity, and our experience of driving all of these cars through zipcar and growing up with them as family cars. In short, we knew exactly what we wanted.
We found two Toyotas and Honda listed on Plaza Auto Mall’s online inventory. We were impressed with the website, it provided detailed information about the make/​model/​year of each, pricing and also provided the full carfax report for each without us having to buy it. All were priced less than $ 6000, so well in our range.
I called and was connected with a salesperson, Richard. I asked if the cars in question were in stock. I gave him the inventory numbers, and he said that they had all sold, but he had another Toyota in the inventory, a used car very similar to the ones we inquired about. I asked, SPECIFICALLY, how much the list price of that car was, and he told me it was the same price as the others, which was under $ 6000.
This was the first of MANY lies we would hear from this dealer.
I made an appointment for us to see Richard and the car that afternoon.
When I got off the phone, I was able to locate the car Richard wanted to show us listed in their online inventory. I was dismayed to see that it was listed at $ 11 000, over double what both of the other Toyotas we had inquired about were listed at. He told me over the phone it was the same price, so I thought perhaps they were having a sales event and printed out their inventory page, the Kelly Blue Book information on that Make/​Model/​Year and the carfax, and we headed to the dealer.
Once we got there, we met with Richard who immediately invited us to go out on the lot with him to see the car. I told him that before we saw it, or any car, I wanted to discuss the price because at the top of my priority list for a new car was making sure it fit our budget. He seemed annoyed, but sat down with us. I asked the list price of the car, and commented that it was listed as $ 11 000 when he had said it was the same price on the phone.
This is where things got ridiculous. Richard brought out a piece of paper and began doing figures and math equations, and told us, point blank, that the cost of the car didn’t matter. Despite our repeated requests for a straightforward answer about the cost of the car, he spent 10 minutes doing his car salesperson math trying to convince us that, because of various dealer fees and costs, an $ 11,000 car and a $ 5500 car cost the same thing. He tried to convince us that the monthly payment for an $ 11,000 car would be THE SAME as the monthly payment for a $ 5500, which was condescending and offensive. We said, REPEATEDLY, that we were not trying to deny the car he wanted to show us was worth $ 11 000, but that we couldn’t afford it and were there to look at used cars under $ 6000. We stressed that we were quite comfortable buying a used car of this nature, and it was what we wanted.
We asked, point blank, if he had any used cars under $ 6000 on the lot, and if we could see them. He said YES, they did, but insisted that we didn’t want to see them. He told us that we didn’t really want an older used car, that he knew better, and that buying an older used car when we could buy a newer car at the same price made no sense. He insisted that we could buy a new car for the same monthly payment as an older car, and refused to hear us or acknowledge our criteria in any way. He was frustrated that we wouldn’t walk out on the lot with him and let him show us all the brand new $ 12k and up cars he wanted to show us, and obviously thought if he could just get us out there we would be so sparkle-​eyed over the car itself we would ignore our budget.
Either he was lying about having any cars under $ 6000 on the lot and just thought he could manipulate us into buying something else, or they had the cars and he didn’t want to show us because he wanted a higher commission from the sale. Either way he was condescending, bullying and increasingly and obviously frustrated that we weren’t willing to buy the line of BS he was selling us.
We walked off the lot with no car, which was a shame because we went there cash in hand ready to buy. If he had been willing to show us what we wanted or be truthful about not having it, he would have made the sale, or we would have been willing to come back when they did have the inventory we wanted.
I wouldn’t recommend this dealer to ANYONE.

Larry was at plaza honda was a gem. He was calm and no pressure but once we went to the finance part, it was all downhill. We were quoted one price on the phone and showed up and was quoted 50 more per month with no explanation. I showed a better deal to the finance guy from another local dealership who tried to weasle his way out of his way higher price was tax included but the paper clearly said plus tax which I gladly pointed out. My husband took out a calculator and did the math which was a good strategy because you can’t argue with numbers.
In the end, I told them that they wasted our time by quoting one price and then when we got there changing it. They didn’t even check our credit so there was no reason for the increase other than trying to take advantage of us. Ironically the finance guy said we were «all over the place» when in fact, their pricing was all over. He spoke loudly and I just can’t get my mind around why someone would want to buy or lease a car from someone like that. If they gave us the price we were quoted on the phone, we would have taken it but not after how rudely we were treated. I felt the finance guy was insulting and I feel bad for nice honest people like Larry who have their sales compromised like that.

After a very nice sounding manager called me several times to apologize for my last experience I was still very weary. In the meantime I went on another website looking for prices on a Sonata and it sent my details to Plaza Hyundai and a few other local Hyundai dealers.
I received a phone call from Rocco and he was more than just pleasant he was very nice, he was patient and made me feel like he wouldn’t treat me as I was treated before. I was totally upfront about everything, how much I wanted to car for, my credit and the fact that I was just shopping and would not made a decision immediately but needed to sleep on it at least one night after meeting with him. He made it seem this was all ok and that he understood. But when I showed up for my appointment it was another story.
He was very nice but did all he could to evade my questions and probing. I admit I am a very difficult customer, I am weary to say the least when it comes to this type of transaction not to mention my last experience with Plaza Honda was so bad. But simple questions like how much are you charging me for the car should be easy to answer. and while I did get an answer eventually I had to ask several times and over and over and he kept getting up and going back to the sales manager and still not coming back with an answer… he kept trying to redirect my attention to the monthly payment.
There are so many other things that were beyond annoying about this place, he brought over his partner who thought he was going to strong arm me into buying the car (mind you I made it clear on the phone before coming in I was not going to sign that night I intended to sleep on it because its a big decision and I was not in a rush at all.) This resulted in me getting up to leave which made the guy get all frustrated and then send over yet another manager… who dropped the price by $ 100 a month just like that to try and get me to sign. We still asked for a lower price because all the advertised prices said much less than they were offering. But they maintained that this was the best they could do and they were taking a loss because they had made money that day… all a bunch on high pressure tactics to get me to sign.
I was even considering it but when i asked them to show me a copy of the lease agreement (they have a sign on the wall that says its your right under NY State Law to see a copy of the lease agreement before you sign) he said he could not show it to me. After arguing about this for another hour they finally acquiesced but I was really just beat down by this point. I still told him I was going home to sleep on it and made an appointment to see two days later. I even gave them my credit card number to take a $ 100 deposit *since they said the deal would expire if they didn’t… *
In the meantime that same website I had gone to sent me to two other Hyundai dealers, both offered me prices for the car that were $ 40 less per month upfront and were beyond amazing, honest and upfront. They both answered my questions with out hesitation and with total transparency. I chose one that was close to my job and I couldn’t be happier.
While Rocco is a nice guy, Plaza is not the place to do business, they are really as bad as everyone on here says they are.

Shady, shady place. If you value your time and your money — RUN FROM IT!!! First, they never give you real numbers online or by e-​mail because they will try to suck as much money from you as possible in person. They quoted Honda CRV 2014 LX for $ 265 a month for 39 months PLUS $ 2900. After lots of BS the guy made first payment $ 2000. I started signing papers but then my friend called me and mentioned another leasing company. I called that company and on the phone I got $ 262/​month for 36 month and $ 1240 in fees (including first month payment!!, even lower then what True Car shows you). Feel the difference. I said I didn’t want to get a car from Plaza Honda. They said OK.
I wasted like 5 hours in Plaza Honda and it took me literally 12 minutes and a 3 minute phone call with that other leasing company.
Lesson learned: stay away from dealership and stay even more far away from Plaza Honda and I feel like any other dealership they have on that plaza.

Absolutely the worst car dealer bar none. Spent over an hour with a salesgirl who finally quoted me a price well over what I told her I could afford. Her and her manager totally ignored what I said. Went online for a quote and 6 days later I still haven’t received a reply. They are incompetent.

Auto dealers in general have a reputation of being notoriously unethical, so why should I have expected this one to be any different? I wanted to believe them. What got me was the flyer I received in the mail informing me that this particular dealer (about an hour-​and-​a-​half round-​trip drive from my home) was willing to offer me 100% OF THE ORIGINAL MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price). I know it seems crazy, but it certainly got my attention just as they intended. Their flyer made a very compelling statement 3 different times in three different places; each time in large, red, bold, ALL CAPS lettering.
My wife, Georgina and I talked about the distinct possibility that this was a scam, but I called the dealership and asked some very direct questions (just not the most important question, but I’ll get to that in a minute:). Really looking the fine print, I even asked, «is this the MSRP for my car, fully loaded as it is, or are you offering the base price (which would be a significant difference of thousands)?» I was informed that the offer would be based on my car with all of it’s enhancements being considered, and after taking my name and indicating that they were very interested in talking with me about my car.
Yes, there is a sentence on the flyer, that clearly states, «The only adjustments will be made for mileage, 35¢ to 55¢ depending on models and reconditioning.» Typically, when dealing with car dealers, a statement like that refers to mileage in excess of 12,000 miles per year. My car has 27,400 miles on it, and the car is five years old. I figured that I was well within the safe zone. If they wanted to offer me $ 23,000 for a five year old car, minus a thousand or so for for minor scratches — I’d be really happy. Wouldn’t you?
Without even looking at it, the dealer offered us $ 10,000 for our car. He gave us that price based primarily on our mileage of 27,400 miles multiplied by .35¢ which, of course, equaled $ 9590.00 taken off their so called «offer!»
I see this was a deliberate, built-​in, intentional loophole allowing them to tell an outright lie, while making it appear that they were being as truthful as possible! OMG!
I went over and captured this quote from the website of the owner of Plaza Auto Mall «ALWAYS WORK HARD, ALWAYS KEEP YOUR WORD, AND ALWAYS BE GOOD TO PEOPLE.»
Right.
We were more than annoyed, and we left the building. A few minutes later, after having examined the flyer which we were told explained it all very clearly, we walked back in and asked to speak to Marcello Scarrino. This is the same Marcello whose name appears on the flyer, (printed on 100% Recycled Material — or so they say) which informed us that their research had indicated:
«Recently we have seen an increased demand for certain vehicles, and our research indicates you could be driving one of these vehicles. If so I have an incredible offer for you. I am willing to purchase your vehicle for 100% OF THE ORIGINAL MSRP base price when your vehicle was new! You read that correctly, we will buy back your current 2003 – 2011 vehicle for 100% of the original base price as listed in the current National Automobile Dealers Association™ Guide.»
As you might imagine, Marcello and I had quite a discussion. He informed me with a blank, though seemingly sincere look on his face, that they were, after all, a car dealership and that the reason they sent out ads was to bring people into the dealership to sell them cars, and wondered aloud how I could have even thought for a moment that they would offer as much money for a used car as for a new one. I wondered aloud the same thing, but then there was all their research to be considered, indicating that there was, «an increased demand for my type of vehicle.» With a straight face he said, «well, millions of people sign up for the Publisher’s Clearinghouse Sweepstakes every year.» Further, he said, «we’re here to sell cars and that’s why you got that flyer. It was just to get you in here.» He’s right I suppose, I should be reading all advertisements as if they were legally binding contracts, right?
Interestingly, there is nothing on that flyer that is overtly offering to sell me a car.

There it is then, when dealing with this Honda dealer (or any of the other car sellers owned by Mr. John Rosatti under the catchall name Plaza Auto Mall) realize, based on the helpful and well considered information provided by the General Manager, Mr. Marcello Scarrino, that it’s really very much the same as receiving an important looking envelope that indicates that, «You May Have Already Won!»

Mediocre sales experience back in 2011 when we purchased our MDX. Since then, The unbelievably bad service (and blatant rudeness) from the service department shows me there’s a systemic high level management issue here. With so many other options for sales and service, these guys are the LAST place you should consider for purchasing or servicing a vehicle. STAY AWAY

First, this dealership –located on a busy street– offers little selection: 4 tired Japanese nameplates. Nothing exciting here.

Phil K. gave me an amazing deal on a car. He is a great salesman. Unfortunately, like any organization that needs all the teams — sales, finance, logistics, etc. — to work together, it falls short. If it wasn’t for him being a nice guy and giving me a good deal, I would have walked out and this would have been a ½ star review.
My car was supposed to have been on a truck the day I came in to sign the paperwork.
Didn’t happen.
I had to drive with the sales guy to pick it up from the storage faclity by the Brooklyn Yards.
While in transit, their DMV processing unit was supposed to have had the paperwork done by the time we got back.
Didn’t happen.
Had to wait for them to do it there and then. Another 30 mins.
I was doing a title together with my wife’s name on it. She gave them a photocopy of her DL the night before. Somehow they misplaced it and it had to be sent again.
What should have been a quick pickup and signing of the documents took 4 hours. Unacceptable.
The GM blamed it on the construction that’s taking place and swore that it will improve, but I’ll have to see it to believe it.
