Popeyes is Popeyes, i hate rating Fast Food chains, because the food is pretty much always the same. Popeyes chicken in my opinion tastes better then KFC, but once again its not recommended to eat fast food too often. This Location is the closest to me in my neighborhood, i rarely visit Popeyes or any fast food chain, but when i do i visit this location. The Food is satisfying when you eat it, but you feel waaay more guilty after. I always feel uncomfortable coming to this location, but maybe because when i do visit, i visit late at night.(Rarely anyway)

Greasy, revolting deliciousness. However, at $ 2.17 for two pieces of dripping-with-grease fried chicken(one leg, one apparently-thigh) and a biscuit, it’s impossible to be disappointed. Most affordable, filling(read: calorically excessive) afternoon snack… EVAR.

If all goes as planned, Popeye’s can make you kick someone. Who wouldn’t smack a stranger for those gooood biscuits. Here’s my usual order: 3 piece strips(The bones are just trying to keep you down) Red Beans(Drooool) Biscuit and when I’m feeling extra naughty. An extra biscuit!!! Oh and please don’t forget my barbecue sauce or give me dirty rice instead of the red beans. I’ll be kicking people in the bad way, followed by the flailing of my arms. As a New Orleans girl, I need a taste of home every now and then, so I’m glad that if needed, Good olé Popeye’s is close by. Muah!

popeyes taste better when its accompanied with plexieglass to distance you from that great customer service we’ve come to expect from popeyes. orders are delivered on a timely basis(10 – 15 minutes) and usually not to specifications. but i do continue coming here for their delicious chicken and heartattack-ridden biscuits. i’m not sure and don’t want to place judgment on this specific popeyes, but i think that this establishment inflates the prices on the chicken due to demand in the neighborhood. i went to a popeyes last week in bococa and they had a 3 piece special that was«normal priced» according to california standards, but i’ve never seen any specials at this joint. not sure what i’m ranting about, all i know is that i will continue to go to sir popeyes, and enjoy their delicious better-that-the-competition-juicy-hormone-injected chicken. finger-licking good!

Every time I eat at Popeyes, I think the same thoughts. «Why the hell do I EVER eat KFC or Kennedy Fried Chicken?!!» Then I get angry and depressed. All that wasted money and empty calories for nothin’. After eating that first bite of Popeyes fried chicken, the world once again makes sense. Popeyes delivers the goods in every category one could expect from a fast food fried chicken chain(Try saying that 4 times fast). Their chicken is plump, juicy, and has just the right amount of spiciness. I usually get half spicy/half mild but unlike KFC, either recipe is good. I’m also a dark meat kinda guy and I can’t tell you how many times KFC or Kennedy’s has given me hella stringy overcooked thighs or drumsticks. You wanna know how many times Popeyes has done that? Zero times. Their buttermilk biscuits here are unbelievable. Fluffy and light. Next time you get one of them suckers, try putting butter inside & honey on the outside. Give the butter a minute to melt and take it straight to the head. You’ll thank me later. Popeyes also has better sides than the competition. They have corn on the cob, potato wedges, onion rings, cole slaw, red beans and rice, and mashed potatoes w/gravy. There’s also a Dunkin Donuts next door where you can get dessert. From now on, I promise to be faithful to you Popeye’s… Unless I’m in Richmond where they have Lee’s Famous Fried Chicken. Hey, it’s never cheating when you’re in a different area code, not to mention a different state.

My favorite Popeye’s. I like this one better than the flagship in New Orleans. This branch has everything Popeyes puts out. Onion rings, cajun fried turkey, jambalaya, two types of fries, dirty rice, etc., and of course the best buttered biscuits I have ever tasted. Light, fluffy and full of fake butter… culinary heaven. Plus it’s by a Wendy’s and a Dunkin Donuts, for the times you feel like hogging out and quaffing down a double bacon cheeseburger with extra bacon and some desert.
