If you could give zero stars I would do that. I thought because the mani pedi was so overpriced that I would be getting the mani pedi of a lifetime… that is not what happened. I went in and the girl rushed me over to boiling hot water. she grunted when I asked to see colors on my nails. she was angry when I asked for a little more lotion because my hands were dry and made me massage the lotion into my own hands. she left my nails beds messy and I had to ask her to do it over again. the massage part felt like something was tugging on me and it was less than 30 seconds. this was BY FAR THE WORST mani pedi I have ever had. I had to put my own shoes and socks back on and I ruined one of my nails doing so. I have had better Manis and pedi that were $ 20. do not waste your money at this over priced salon. not all that glitters is gold

my finger is infected from aggressive cuticle cutting, and I told her to go easy on them. not cute having a manicure when one of your fingers is covered with a bandage.

I went to this nail salon for the 1^st time on Wednesday asking on the phone for a fill & pedicure. As the woman on the phone was very nice, my service was just ok & my result is awful. It is now Monday morning, almost two full nails are missing and they look like they have been done 3 weeks ago. The topcoat doesn’t even cover all of the polish which also turned a different shade from where it separates from the colored polish. My nails are chipped and I am embarrassed to say that I spent $ 113 on one of the most terrible fills/​pedicure I’ve ever had. Needless to say I will not be returning.

I only go here sometimes because they have the best color selection. Other than that, the manicure is only slightly better than your average place. It seems like you’re paying for the ambiance which is something I really don’t care much about. It also bothers me that you have to make an appointment. I’ve gotten lucky and just walked in, but when you get a weekly manicure it should be easy, not something you have to schedule in to your already too busy life.

From the greet to the service in this location was perfect. They are so attentive to you and your needs, which you don’t find anymore without it requiring for you to pay an arm and a leg.
They rub this little lemon on your toes, provide you with a complimentary sugar scrub on your legs and feet. They make sure of any ingrown nails, i am telling you this place is awesome.
I recommend it to anyone!

I get a gel manicure here about every three weeks. And to be honest it is a little more pricey than other places in the neighborhood– but they always last three weeks so it is so worth it. They use better gel nail polish than others, and it’s never chunky! Also the atmosphere is clean, relaxing, and the nail technicians are always so sweet.

Primp & Polish is the best NYC nail salon I’ve been to in 5 years. Their gel manicures last 2+ weeks and the pedicures are great too. I also appreciate the atmosphere which is more relaxing than the typical salon. In this case it’s worth the extra price.
My only complaint is that I’ve consistently waited 30+ minutes to be helped even though I made appointments.

Came in for a pedicure and gel manicure. Jenny was my nail tech. She was so sweet and I love how thoroughly she cut my cuticles, trimmed my nails and painted them. She was meticulously and checked everything twice. This spot manages to offer the look and feel of luxe salon while giving you budget friendly prices. Manicures are done on a bar where you’re feet can dry after a yummy pedicure. I love how they use hot stones for the pedicure. It’s so therapeutic. This is my new favorite spot and best part about it is that it’s close to home.

I love this place! Everyone is really friendly and it feels like an upscale spa but with average prices. They also have an amazing playlist ;)

I LOVE Primp & Polish! This is one of favorite locations to come to. My fave manicurist is Yang because she is amazing and always listens to what you want. Also the manager is very friendly & always helps me when I can’t decide on a specific nail polish.
The environment is very relaxing and super clean. If you’re in Williamsburg this is definitely the place to go.

It’s a nice place, clean, lots of space, but I’m not paying for the decoration. Compared the job and staff here, I prefer Agua De La Vida, they are much friendly, careful and gentle. But their space is not fancy.
BTW, when I tipped the girl she even didn’t say thank you, she cut my finger for two times today, bad experience.

I did a French gel manicure yesterday. The French line started chipping off today. I paid $ 45 with this crap. Not recommended.

I’m so disappointed by the mani-​pedi done yesterday at this salon.
One of my toenail chipped right after and this morning my hands do not look good either…
Also why should we pay and tip before the service is completed. Not very clever from a client service perspective.
On top of that, my bank went suspicious when I tried to pay from their payment terminal and issued a fraud alert on my credit card.

I chose to move to Williamsburg — but was so apprehensive about finding good beauty salons … nails, hair etc. It doesn’t exactly seem like the place where people go ham for a good spa. However — Primp and Polish saved my life. The spa pedi’s are great, manicures fantastic and efficient and they have an amazing selection of polishes — including Chanel and Dior. Which is everything. The store is chic, well maintained and the staff are great.
Oh, and you can book online if you need to!

Pros — good nail techs, lots of colors
Cons — front desk staff don’t always make you feel welcome

On the upside, the place is very clean. Cute atmosphere. And an incredibly large selection of polishes
On the downside, my mani-​pedi left much to be desired. The massage was very, Very light and short. She scraped too much off on the side of my foot, and now it’s raw and sensitive to touch. And I have polish on the skin around my toes.
They only take cash tips. So unless you want to use their generic atm, be sure to bring some cash with you!
I gave them three stars, because the establishment itself was so appealing. Maybe I just got a bad manicurist.

Love coming to this Primp and Polish location. Yang and Danny are the best and always take care you me. I don’t know the receptionist’s name, but she’s always nice and helpful.

This was the best place that I went to in years!!!
The atmosphere and staff are very nice, friendly and professional. Moreover, I was taking in as a walk-​in and did not have to wait for more than 5 min!
The pedi with addition of lemons and hot stones are MUST have, and they are automatically included in the service! Very unique and nice!
Will def come back again!!!

I’ve been here twice and while the first experience was good, the second left much to be desired.
I called to book an appointment, specifying the type of manicure I wanted and letting them know I would need three tips (damn my fragile nails). I show up right on time and they say they’re running late. Ok.
I sit down at the spot and pick out my colors, but it starts to feel rushed. I was just looking for the same colors I did last time. Maybe they should have let me do this while I was waiting?
I let the manicurist know that I want some simple nail art (pointed half moon shape), and that’s when the trouble starts. The girl goes off to talk to the receptionist for a few minutes, who then comes over and tells me I should have told her I wanted this on the phone because now they’ll have to cancel someone else’s appointment because it will take over an hour.
I’ve only booked online before, and there’s no option to select nail art. Yet I’ve never been berated when my roommate and I booked online and showed up wanting nail art. Why would I get a plain one-​color manicure that I could do myself? What exactly do they do for all of their online appointment bookers who want nail art? Do they all get the same lecture? I tell her if it’s a problem I’ll leave and go somewhere else, but the exact same manicure took an hour last time I got it done. I start to put on my coat, but somehow after one more lecture on how I should book my appointment next time, they’re able to magically fit me into the appointment that I booked again.
Like I thought, the manicure was finished in one hour and two minutes (I don’t need cuticle cutting or hand massages — I just wanted color on my nails), even with the time spent to explain to me twice how I should have booked my appointment, but I felt stressed out the entire time because they made me feel like I was causing a problem when I specified the same types of details they ask when you book online.
I’m also disappointed because two of my tips are too long, making it hard to type, and the art on two of my other nails is lopsided, but I wasn’t given any time to give feedback since they were rushed. I really didn’t have time to go back this week, but I guess now I’ll have to.
It wasn’t a cheap manicure, and an experience that was supposed to be a treat ended up being a stressful disappointment where I felt like a burden for wanting a more expensive specialty service that they are known for. Next time, I’ll do my nails at home. If you’re going to rush through the service because your salon is running late, then be honest about your limitations and let me leave to go to another one of the four locations. Scolding me once I’m in the salon after showing up on time for my appointment is actually a pretty shitty way to treat a customer when you can clearly solve the problem and finish the manicure in an hour.
I’m very disappointed in the extra time and money I’ll now have to spend getting it fixed.
On a positive note, the manicurist was very nice.

Absolutely LOVE this place. I recently moved to Williamsburg and was searching for a good nail salon. FOUND IT! Super friendly staff and VERY clean. My gel manicure lasts about a month! So the price is definitely worth it. I make cakes so I’m always in the kitchen and washing dishes.
*Yang is the best !! My mother and I ALWAYS go to her.

J’ai trouvé la solution: un petit tour chez Primp & Polish pour une mani/​pedi !
Ici on n’est pas dans un salon où tout se fait à la chaîné et vite fait: on est dans un lieu cosy, calme avec des esthéticiennes souriantes et agréables.
On vous installe tout d’abord sur un siège massant et on laisse vos pieds tremper dans un bain à bulles. Et là c’est parti pour les soins et les massages. Le pied ! (pardonnez moi je jeu de mot un peu limite mais de circonstances…). Je pense que l’on s’occupe de vos pieds pendant une bonne vingtaine de minutes en terminant par le vernis.
Puis vient le tour des mains… Traitement des cuticules, crèmes, petit massage et verni.
En plus, le choix des couleurs est pléthorique (OPI et Essie principalement).
Vous ressortez de là merveilleusement détendue et pas trop allégée du portefeuille (la mani + pedi classique est à $ 38 en général, $ 34 avant 16h, il faut simplement ajouter le tip…). Je crois que ce n’est pas le moins cher que l’on puisse trouver dans le quartier mais vu le cadre et la qualité de la prestation ça les vaut amplement !
Autre point positif il y a un wifi gratuit ce qui aide à avoir la patience de laisser sécher vos ongles à la fin. Autre solution, comme les américaines venez en tongs même par 0 °C !
