Really good fast service and fast fried fish. Thanks to the server he gave me a nice big pitcher of cold water that I needed. A full tray 14 $ can’t beat it. I’ll be back.

I think this is the best Indian food I’ve ever had. That’s all I can say. I got it delivered, it came in about 45 minutes, not great but not bad considering it was just before they closed. I didn’t know what to expect but wow. I was blown away. So delicious! Definitely going to order again

Food come really fast considering the distance from the restaurant to my apartment. Also the chicken tikka Masala is great! Delivery man was such a nice person! I am for sure ordering food from this place again.

I go here all the time! The staff is amazing, owners are very friendly and welcoming and the food reminds me of back home. One of the best places to go for great tasting food. You can never go wrong with the qeema naan, which they make using mozerella cheese. One of the best tasting foods I have had anywhere around.

Not really impressed with this one. You can definitely find better indian restaurants in NYC. This place is not easily accessible by public transportation and the food may be cheap but its not very good.

This is about the worst indian food I’ve ever had. The naan was store bought and not fresh and not really even a naan. I could’ve bought the cheapest tortilla in any market and it would’ve made the meal better. The butter chicken was mediocre at best. The mango lassi I must say was good along with the yogurt sauce. However, most of these things can be made at home. The only thing that can’t be is the naan and theirs was inexcusable.

This place is the quintessential hole-in-the-wall, terrible storefront/amazing food Brooklyn gem. I am the kind of Unilocal reviewer who only bothers if something is spectacular or awful and Punjab is the former. I had channa masala, bone-in chicken bathing in some unknown delicious sauce, and aloo palak over basmati rice. Came with a little iceberg salad with almost freakishly good white dressing that really looked like it was gonna be disgusting but was quite the opposite. The food was some of the best Indian I’ve had(including way-too-expensive-for-what-it is Brick Lane, et al.) I wandered in thinking there was a distinct possibility it was going to make me sick what with the florescent lights and food served from buffet style warming dishes. Not cooked-to-order. I went to the bathroom and the toilet wasn’t working. Gross. But I’m telling you, the food was so tasty I didn’t care. And the chai I ordered on the way out was delicious! They do it right, meaning they brew it without sugar and ask you how sweet you want it. Only thing I’d say about the chai is that they could have used higher quality milk. Overall well done, you weird restaurant amongst the auto body shops on Coney Island Ave.

I’ve kept meaning to stop by here to try the food, and finally today was the day! I parked my bike out front and went inside(the only woman in sight.) The guy behind the counter got the dude in the back to help me, I assume because his english was better. He was so polite and helpful, recommending dishes and describing each delicious looking entrée. I settled on a to-go sampler of 5 different dishes(chickpea, chicken, lentil, etc.), 2 nans, rice and yogurt sauce. He wrapped everything carefully to avoid spillage and the food was still warm when I got home. Wow! Delicious. Sumptuous. Even my 8 year old was loving it(albeit with lots of milk to cut down on the spice!) YES, we will go back. Great experience.

I’m not one to write reviews or trash talk… but that being said I ordered food from this restaurant and after an hour goes by I called to check the status, and the man on the phone said that the delivery guy left 10 min ago. 20 min after that still no food. I call again and the man says oh no we’re still delivering your meal just be patient 20 after that no answer on the phone 10 min later someone else picks up the phone and informs me that Punjab Restaurant canceled my order an hour ago. THEYCOULDNTHAVETOLDMETHATANHOURAGO?! I’M STARVING! To sum up, I was lied to, waited for nearly 2 hours only to find out that my order was«canceled» and had to pay for it. Worst experience ever. Never order or go to this sorry excuse for a restaurant.

I grew up eating Pakistani and Indian food since a family member was from Pakistan, Punjab region… I have also visited the region many times. I will admit this place has some oily and greasy cuisine, BUT it is authentic tasting and delicious. I was fortunate enough to try their chicken curry and chicken tikka masala. Each one of these dishes was authentic tasting and delicious. based on my order, my roommate ordered from them the next night and again, the meal was tasty, authentic and delicious. This place is no joke. Authentic Punjabi cuisine, good to the palate. Service was on-time and prompt. I am not sure about he other reviewers and their experience. basically stating this food was ‘greasy’ and ‘not good’. Although I can say from visiting the Punjab province that this food was very good and should not be discounted in any form from its traditional roots. I would recommend anyone in the NYC area who like Punjabi food or would like to try it to at least try this establishment.

Absolutely bad! Never ever order from them! I like very much Indian, I know good places in Manhattan and in Brooklyn, but this time I needed home delivery. I ordered for about 20 $ online, they delivered in time and according to the order, no issues there. But after I tried each of items I ordered, believe or not, I through everything into garbage. I throw out only spoiled food and it happens only few times during my life. There food by taste was not better than paper. And it not Indian at all. I even wanted to go to that«restaurant» and talk to them, finally decided not to waist my time.

Absolutely impeccable service, attention to detail and authentic cooking. The Lamb Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala and Mixed Sweets platter are all prepared with love every time. If the restaurant is ever out of a certain item, the owner calls personally, apologizes and offers a replacement. I have been ordering for 3 months and will be a loyal customer for years to come. If you haven’t yet tried it, you don’t know what you’re missing.

This place is absolutely awful. I ordered four items and they gave me two items that were wrong. I ordered a lamb curry and a chicken tikka masala and my chicken was nowhere to be found, I received two lamb curries instead. I don’t really eat curry and I had to scoff it down and it gave me major abdominal pains. The entire order was listed on the receipt so I don’t understand how they could have possibly gotten the order wrong. They probably didn’t have anymore of the dishes I ordered and just gave me other random stuff instead without informing me. What upset me most was that I ordered two beef kabobs and they gave me two chicken ones instead! The prices for the two weren’t even the same! It was a $ 1 extra for the beef and I got a chicken one which cost less. Complete bullsh*t and they can be assured that I will NEVER go back. The naan was rubbery and cold and had a weird smell to it. The lamb curry was tough and the curry was very watery. The chicken kabobs were cold and tasted dry like paper. Please save your money and go elsewhere! This place is horrendous, complete garbage.

I have seriously never met a friendlier staff. From dude on the phone to the dude delivering I was treated like a regular customer whose order they had fucked up repeatedly, instead of a first timer already getting great service. The sweets mixed plate was delicious and generous. The galub jamun were a little dry but they packed the syrup separately ’cause they’re pros. The chaat was a little different than the usual ones. Lettuce/tomato/onion salad mixed in with samosa and difference spices, delicious, huge portion, and unique. I don’t know why you’d need bigger than a small on any of these things. The okra curry(bhindi) was delicious and 90% tender delicious okra. Goat korma was not the sweet/creamy kind but the spiced, coated and braised kind. Also fantastic. They were out of paya by 6pm so i’ll have to try closer to breakfast next time. The naan is thick and not oven fresh but close enough. Definitely the best subcontinental food in the area.

I just ordered dinner from here on a whim and I am SO glad that I did. By far the best Pakastani food I have ever had. Fantastic value too. This is my new go-to place. Absolutely amazing.

Seriously the best of all the Pakistani steam table joints on the Coney Island Ave stretch — food is amazing, homestyle, cheap, and their nan bread is some of the best I’ve ever had.

I have been eating here since I was a little kid. I first starting coming here with my cousin to watch cricket games. The place has been cleaned up drastically over the years. Before it was completely filthy, but thats over now. The food has always been absolutely amazing. The goat curry is by far my favorite, followed a close second by the chicken on skewers and of course naan. The yogurt sauce they make is also of the best I’ve ever had. For an extremely affordable and delicious meal, I suggest you go here.

This place is awesome! I am so glad we found it. The Kensington Coney Island corridor from Church to Cortelyou Rd, basically is a bunch of automotive stores, and Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi restaurants-really sad and ugly for the most part and really strange! But I have hopes for the corridor… Either way, The Punjab Restaurant serves up FRESH, hot great food. The owners are Pakistani Punjabis… and I consider this the real deal when it comes to North Indian Food. Fresh Naan yes-they have a clay oven. If you are trying to be healthy get the Wheat Roti. Saag or Spinach super fresh. Our favorite-which Pakistanis do great-Kababs! The are super nice to us. The only thing is-there is no take out, but if we want Indian-Punjabi-Pakistani Food(yikes so controversial) we go here! The walk is totally worth it! oh the best part-super cheap. We get tons of stuff, and the most we have spent for 2 people is about $ 22! Can’t go wrong!
