History

Established in 2014.

We are a Doctors on Call affiliate: a medical group established in 1968 that has grown to become the largest home-​visiting medical practice in NYC. We bring our comprehensive, advanced-​care expertise to the urgent care arena.

Meet the Manager

Jacob G.

Manager

Jacob Gerlitz, NP, is Medical Director of QualityFirst Urgent Care and a clinical instructor at Columbia University. He serves as a member of NYC’s Medical Reserve Corps, and is member of both the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine and the Urgent Care Association of America.

Jacob graduated from Pace University, where he was recognized with the Student of the Year Award and for his role in Pace University’s Love, Legacy, Legend and Leader Recognition Program. He had been an instructor at Shelem College and Pace University.

He earned a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and is an acupuncturist, an herbalist and a Diplomate of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

He combines his training in Integrative Medicine, Evidence Based Medicine and Healthcare technology together with medical informatics and productivity theory to deliver a holistic blend of comprehensive urgent care medicine.
