Specialties
Aside from the usual bike shop repairs and duties that you would expect from a fine establishment like ours (i.e. tune ups, brake and gear adjusts, wheel trues, flat changes), we also offer some highly skilled and specialized services. Along with knowledge of SRAM, Shimano, and Campagnolo groupsets, we also have a familiarity with outdated and weird French, Italian, and Swiss components. Basically, we have a deep and extensive knowledge of all things bike including:
Overhauls, restorations, custom builds, hand built wheels, hydrolic disc brakes, internally geared hubs, electronic shifting, tubular/sew ups gluing, belt drive bicycles, and generator hubs and lights.
History
Established in 1776.
It all started inside of a tiny little fuzzy passenger pod that was attached to a seat stay of a shred-tastic bike. The pod eventually exploded and released tiny little phlotons into the air. Those pholotons started to mingle and eventually got busy. And I mean real busy. They created something so shredtacular and so scrum-didaly awesome that the world couldn’t handle it. Red Lantern Bicycles was created to contain such drippingly schweeet things.

Overheard: ‘I don’t know… How do you write a bio? I mean, do I write about how I am slave to the throngs of bike zombies? How I’m a sucker for brown liquor? I don’t know… This might get a bit dangerous…’
