Manicure, acrylic and gel polish! Lasts me 4 weeks and with my crazy working/​football mom/​two boys and a hubby life this is wonderful. Perfection with the look, great design work. Friendly atmosphere. But because of all this awesomeness they are packed so do not show up when you are in a rush. Definately worth the wait.

Red Nail and Hair Spa is split into two separate sections, the front is a nail place and the back is space for hair cutting, dying, etc. (Overall summary: last paragraph)
I dyed my hair blue-​purple at this salon in September and absolutely love the results. The color is still fantastically vibrant (note: I exercise extreme care for my hair. ie: purple hair requires maintenance!)
I have also cut my hair here and was extremely satisfied with the cut. The stylist understood exactly what I wanted. However most of this review will be about my hair coloring experience.
The salon is such a gem though it may not seem that way from first impressions. If you’ve researched hair coloring tutorials on YouTube you will know about Olaplex (1 and 2) and Chromatid Vivid colors. I was very surprised to find that this salon was able to offer these products. Both of which were used on my hair to obtain my color. After the procedure, I did not feel any damage in my hair. But let’s be realistic, of course my hair is damaged from being bleached however the Olaplex definitely deduced the damage to a minimum.
My hair is no more damaged than it would be had I dyed it on my own without bleach. (I have dyed my hair about 10 times prior to this)
My hairstylist was Qui (Q). He was extremely patient with the procedure and spent the utmost care on my hair. The entire process probably took upwards of four hours but dying virgin black hair + half henna-​ed black hair to purple would take anyone that long. Mind you, bleaching out henna is an extremely tedious process. Q did not seem annoyed at any point, and waited for the my hair color to even out.
All in all, I highly recommend this salon. The hairstylist are experienced and patient. All stylists speak English. I have not done any manicures here so I can’t speak for any part of the nail salon. The hair salon charges about as much you would expect from salons in Manhattan (china town) but it is rightly so. You receive quality hair procedures here. I personally do not know anywhere else in Brooklyn that will color your hair to these vivid colors (purples, pinks, blues, etc).

Had a manicure and pedicure here recently and I was not wowed, but I will come again. The girl who did my nails was doing a really thorough job, especially the pedicure, which was a big plus over some Manhattan salons I’ve been to. Manicure lasted 4 days without chipping, which is a surprise to me. One big minus: the extremely chemical smell in there — worse than any other nail salon I’ve been to. Probably due to the hair salon in the back. I really feel bad for the girls who work there all day long. Second thing, there was not even a second of a massage, but that was probably just the girl that did my mani/​pedi.

A full-​service salon. Go for hair and nails! I’ve been coming to Red Nail and Hair Spa for manicures/​pedicures for less than a year. Every time I’d be getting my nails done, I’d notice the amazing work of the stylists. So I decided to give them a try. First of all, I appreciate how they listened to what I was hoping to achieve with my hair. And I appreciate their recommendations and advice. I’m a very open-​minded person who really appreciates honest feedback and new ideas. That’s what they provided. Insight. As a result of their recommendation on my cut, style and keratin treatment, which I never had before, I have awesome hair. Not only is the keratin a game-​changer, the haircut is fabulous. These guys know style and are hair experts. Just be open to listen to their recommendations, and let them do their magic. And I waited a few weeks to write this review, as I wanted to see the lasting effects of the keratin and haircut. OUTSTANDING! I’ve found my new salon :).

Review for hair: I’ve been searching for a place to get a a great haircut and this place came recommended by a close friend of mine. I tried other places in the neighborhood and also have been to ouidad and devacurl in the city which specialize in curly hair. None compared to the cut I received here. I’m super satisfied and will be a faithful customer. I had to come back 3x because the place was that busy and I could never stay and wait. Glad I had the time this week to wait cause it came out fabulous!
I will be a faithful customer for sure.

This place is awful. Rude Attitudes, long waits and inconsistent prices. I have been going here since over a year now and still traveled all the way from Ditmas Park to get my nails done here, but yesterday was my last time. I always get the same (acrylic filling with UV top coat). I understand to get charged a dollar for a tip if the nail broke, but I don’t understand how a bill can jump from $ 23 or $ 25 (because sometimes they feel like charging you for the UV top coat and sometimes they don’t) to $ 30.00?! Where do all the extra charges coming from? For cutting my nails? For using two nail polishes? Get your prices straight. May be it would help if you have an actual price list hanging up somewhere?! So you remember what they are. But I guess you like scamming people. And then you are having an attitude with me for calling you out on on your bullshit and then talk shit about me in your language? Very unprofessional. You work for tips, don’t you? I don’t tip for bad customer service and a shitty job. You just lost another loyal customer.

I’ve been going to this nail salon for the past 2 years for mostly gel manicures, eyebrows, and a few pedicures. I come here mainly because its proximity to my apartment.
This salon has nail, waxing, and hair services.
When I do go I try to go early morning or when I have absolutely nowhere else to go since the wait time at this salon can be rather long. On my most recent visit, I was seated right away. Unfortunately, the young woman who was doing my manicure was having too much fun talking to the woman sitting next to her. I understand that this is common in salons; however, on that particular day I felt that it was very unprofessional and I know my manicure could have been done quicker if she wasn’t so involved in her conversation.
On previous visits I have experienced the fast/​unsatisfactory pedicures that were reflected in some of the other Unilocal reviews. Unfortunately I will be returning to this salon only due to its convenience.

As I am currently sitting here getting my fingers cut for about the 10^th time I decided to write this review. I came in after seeing some amazing photos on Instagram. Unfortunately upon walking in I was greeted with an attitude and escorted to a novice to do my pedicure. She was very meticulous which was great unfortunately, she cut me several times which I allowed because hey, I’m nice abs everyone has to start somewhere.
Next, acrylic nails. I’m seated, discuss a design and price with the «technician» and begin the process. I don’t know if this lady got nervous half way through, but my entire right hand is cut up. At one point I had to jerk my hand back from the cut of the machine. After I’m given the bill, I had to manually write in a charge of $ 1.00 for selecting an Opi nail polish. Are you serious? Ten minutes later I just find out that the design I want is done by another technician so I am here waiting for that lady to finish with her current client, and I already paid! I’m definitely going to Organic Nail on 57^th.

Horrible service. No service mine. I got hair cut with short Chinese guy. He is very terrible. He didn’t say hi or greeting to me. He complains my hair in the rude way not professional way. Omg i can’t believe this place. My hair came out look really awful. I told him don’t make my front hair shorter, i wanted to keep it the same length but he did’t listen to me. Terrible!

Never ever get your eyebrows done in this place, just came out with one eyebrow twice thinner than the other.

I got a pedicure in less than 5 minutes. The woman was extremely poor. I will not be visiting here again.

This place is a great little gem. Q is def the go to for a hair cut. Super cheap! This is really a walk in place, I believe they’ll always honor first come first serve over having an appointment but they will work to get you in if you’re a regular. You really can’t beat the prices and the quality really is up to par. Definitely worth giving a shot :-)

This is a review for hair only.
I gotten my hair redone after a year of faded ombré.
Q was a wonderful hair dresser, he recommended dark golden hues all over with some toning.
After about an hour of toning, bleaching, treating and washing. He began to blow dry my new hair color, immediately I noticed that the new hair color complemented my skin tone perfectly. it looked amazing!
I will absolutely come back for maintenance.

Their prices are amazing. Q is your man for haircuts. The keratin treatment is great. They will also get you through fast which is way better than taking longer than needed. Great little gem!

You’ll leave with your nails nice– but it comes with a price. Staff including the hair salon in the back are rude!

I went in scared as hell because it was the first time doing ombré colored hair but trust me when i say i looove the way my hair came out. I went in with dark brown hair already dyed a few days prior and came out with the same exact color i wanted. They do an amazing job with curlibg and also flattening hair as i saw on other people getting their hair done. Go here! They know what they are doing!..

I was searching for a good hair salon. I came across Red nails and Hair spa’s review. It had very good rating so I went to check it out. I wanted highlights and a trim.
There are pros and cons about it.
The pros: I liked the way the guy trimmed my hair. He took his time making sure my hair was straight as possible. I really liked that.
The cons: I asked for highlights. I wanted to go lighter for summer. But because I had red highlights previously the guy said a red copper color would be a good color. That’s not what I wanted but I agreed to it because I assumed he knew what he was talking about.
When it was my turn it the guy doing my hair just went straight to business. Normally when I am getting my hair done else where the stylist starts a convo. There was no communication. It was my first time being there and the last time. I didn’t feel welcome.

I was a bit weary coming here, but I needed my hair done ASAP and it was close by and cheap so I came in here. I only came for a blow dry but when I saw Danny cutting this woman in his chair hair with such precision that I decided to spring for a hair cut too at the last second. He knew my hair problems right away, and I decided to just put trust in him after that, I didn’t get as much precision as the last lady, but he did a really good job cutting off my dead ends and giving me the style I wanted on my now shorter hair. I will definitely come back. The prices are reasonable and I took a star off because it was a little dirty for a salon, and I did not get my nails done but almost all the customers in there were for nails. He tried to upsell me the Kertain treatment too, but I am scared of ruining my curls with that, but I will go back for a color!

I have been going to the same nail tech for over 7 years. Wendy and Vivian have been my go to gals and I can never imagine going to another nail salon solely because of them. They do a beautiful job and will accommodate whatever requests you have, wonderfully priced, and super talented. They are the only nail techs that LITERALLY can get my nails to stay for a WHOLE MONTH. Love love love !
