Rite Aid

This is my favorite rite aid pharmacy. They are always quick, friendly, and professional here regardless of when I come in or when my prescription is called in. My medication is always ready when promised. The young pharmacist is also attentive and helpful.

I only go here if there is no other choice. It always seems like there are four people behind the pharmacy counter yet you stand there and they see you waiting while they talk together
and not about work. They ignore you until they are ready. And the worst part is the usually only have one person at the cashier desk in front. Sometimes the line is so long, its ridiculous and I just wind up putting everything back. How much could it cost them to have two people working behind the counter? Same thing every time. There is a pharmacy across the street. They have also like four people behind counter but the minute you walk in, if they are busy, someone always says I will be with you in a moment and are much more professional and friendly. My new place to get my prescriptions done.

This place needs to be shut down. Ive been waiting for my prescription refill for about two weeks now. All the lady had to say in response was that they mustve forgotten to put in the order. So irresponsible and they obviously dont care about you or their job. Absolutely disgusting that someone allows these people to deal with medicine and people’s health.

Good service here. Ladies at the counter are always very friendly and always look out for the best interest of the customer. Clean store and items and easy to find. They lose some stars however because of the long lines always in the store at the register.

This store is better than the one at Ave U — it’s more spacious and newly renovated. Today, I stepped in to buy some facial creams and I ended up with a free coffee mug… it just randomly happened at the very nice cashier’s request. I’m happy with the service I received today and will surely be back.

The lines are a bit long here if you go at the wrong hours .If your lucky you will get a nice cashier and if your not you might get a rude or impatient cashier. They do have some good sales on snacks, beauty items, etc.

It’s my local rite aid and it’s 24 hrs now so that makes everything better just in case I need to go!
I’ll usually come here if I can’t make it to the CVS is Sheepshead Bay to get my birthday or other type cards and on the occasion for candy or holiday items like Christmas tree lights. I don’t usually go to Rite Aids, but they seem to be more on the pricey side, but I like this Rite Aid more than the CVS on Bay Pkwy. The people are pretty nice and generally the store is cleaner.
This place also has its own parking lot and is close to the D train stop for anyone who’s interested.
I’m curious to see what happens when the Walgreens across the street opens up. Guess we’ll see!

I wish this wasn’t the only rite-​aid in the immediate area — but like most Unilocalers on here that made their reviews, we’re totally doomed. (I cant wait until the Walgreens being constructed across the street opens)
There is never enough staff working behind the registers. It is annoying and it upsets all the customers helplessly waiting on line. It’s weird, because there will be about 2 – 3 people behind the registers at the same time, but only working.
Although, she probably means well, but the cash register lady that’s near her time, is probably a former druggie with delayed work performances. It took forever to get rung up. She also pushes the rite aid wellness card on you as if shes threatening you. weird.
you can never really find staff on the floor… even if you do, they’re clueless. There was only one guy that totally helped me one night pick put some facial wash and soap. that was the best help there. other then that…
WHEN WILL WALGREENS ACROSS THE ST. OPEN!!!

Only one CASHIER in this big *** Rite Aid, she look like she don’t want to work here especially the cashier caucasian lady in her 40/​50s look like shes on meth. She put on makeup to cover it up. Rude slow and not professional.

We visit this Rite Aid about once a month just to browse. The renovations have really made a difference to the atmosphere of this place. That said, the line to the register remains long but it seems to be more like 10 minutes. This place also gets crowded with shoppers and items that are on sale are easily out of stock.

This place sucks. Be prepared to wait on the register line for 20+ minutes on any given day, due to the fact that they generally have only one cashier working at a time (because those other five employees really need to keep busy crushing empty delivery boxes and staring blankly at shelves that are already neatly stocked). In all fairness, I should mention that the cashiers have always been very friendly and my poor review is no reflection on them whatsoever. Not their fault the branch has crappy management. Also, I’d have given an extra star if not for the horrendous pharmacy within the store.
I will NEVER fill a prescription at this Rite Aid ever again. I’ve always filled my scripts here because it’s close to my job and, therefore, allows me to make a quick run at lunch or after work without taking any serious detours. Like the front of the store, the pharmacy line is always slow and long, but I considered it a minor inconvenience. We’re in a heavily populated city, I get it. I filled two scripts last Wednesday. They were short staffed and the pharmacist told me that while one was out of stock, the other was available and would be ready in an hour. I saw how hectic things were and told him I could come back the next day and not to worry about it (for which he seemed grateful). Fast forward nearly a week: I call this morning and ask if my other prescription is ready. The guy on the phone told me to come after 2:00. I show up at 3:15, wait on line for 17 minutes (but hey, who’s counting? I was receiving minute by minute updates from the cranky elderly woman waiting behind me), and am told it would be five minutes. I go to the cosmetics section and hear my name being paged. I go up there, money in hand, thinking they had my prescription. NOPE. In fact, they don’t have it at all! And guess what? They can’t even tell me when they will have it! So now I get to wait an indefinite amount of time before receiving my medication. On top of that, there were no apologies or explanations.
Save yourself the headache and go to CVS.

Awesome selection and great prices (as expected of rite aid :)), but –3 stars for the pharmacy workers for throwing my insurance card at me. No lie. That’s how bad it was.
And no, I was not rude to her. I said «is my insurance card in there with my medicine?» She sighs, grabs the card and throws it at me saying «YEAHP»
Girl I don’t know what they taught you in pharm school, but that ain’t it. (I said this in my head FYI)
And then she threw my meds at me as if I said that out loud (Which I didn’t :P)
If I didn’t love rite aid so much for being awesome, I would’ve made a big fucking deal for her bitchyness.
AND the girl at the drop off window wasn’t the brightest sunshine I’ve seen either. She was giving this old lady in front of me a hard time and said that what she had to deal with was «annoying». Like … Que paso ???
The girls here have issues. With people.

This is my go to neighbor hood pharmacy. They carry all kinds of cosmetic, shampoo, cold remedy and even food. Ive compare prices and sometimes i find that when certain products are on sale, they usually are cheaper than costco/​parkmark.
Make sure you have a wellness card so you can enjoy additional savings and perks. They have an UP reward system. where they just take additional $ off at next purchase.

I was supposed to pick up Photos which i uploaded on Rite-Aid’s Website. I received an email from Rite-​Aid, day after i uploaded Photos, that my Photos are ready for pickup. Once i got there, they did not have any Photos. They told me to come back in a week, so i went after a week and they still don’t have my photos. I showed them the email i received but it seems like there was nothing they could do, they told me to try next week.
