Very average pizza. The dough is good but cheese, sauce and pepperoni are extremely bland and stale. It’s still in business here purely because it’s the only pizza restaurant in the neighborhood.

I would love to take people to this«famous pizzeria» to have them experience what a sad, pathetic joke of a pizza actually tastes like. It is absolutely necessary for any self respecting foodie to experience the surreal taste of food and service in this New York City gem, strategically located in a semi-dilapidated concrete dump of a parking lot in lovely Brighton Beach, where the local Russian clientele go gaga over greasy slices made by a grumpy Italian shedding his arm hair all over the food and drinks. You have to see it to believe it!

Good old style Brooklyn pizza. A lil on the oily side. They are not rude at all it’s just a Brooklyn attitude and just don’t go into someone’s business and tell them how to run it, they been doing it a lot longer than any of you Unilocalers. Good garlic knots.

I just bought a couple of slices after running into the local CVS. This is actually very solid«neighborhood pizza.» I ordered one plain slice and one pepperoni. Both were good, a bit drippy on oil; but otherwise, the taste and texture was solid.

Rocco’s was my first love, when it comes to pizzerias. This was a little over 20 years ago. Problem is, I’m giving them a lot of points for the nostalgia and the sentiment. The pizza… it’s just not that good. Extremely oily and kind of bleh. These are things you don’t realize as a kid, because you just don’t care; you got pizza and that’s that. But we grow and learn what’s good and what’s not. Everything changed once I tried Delmar’s(Knapp is a very notable mention, too). 15 years ago, and I’ve only had Rocco’s a handful of times since then, and mainly for the nostalgia of having a slice in the old neighborhood pizza spot. Lot of reviewers complain about the rudeness. Yeah, it’s hit and miss with that. Shouldn’t be the case but it is. Thing is, that lot is being demolished to build condos so they’re not really worried about losing customers. Roccos is getting kaboshed either way. It’s a crappy mentality to go out but that’s how they want to go about the whole thing.

Pizza is always good here. Some of the guys working here could be extremely rude but that doesn’t stop me from coming in. I use to really enjoy the grilled chicken Caesar salad until it got worse and worse. I wouldn’t come here for anything other than the pizza it’s always consistent. The delivery is also really quick which is why I’m still a costumer. Otherwise there’s cheaper and better quality pizza in Brooklyn.

I have been a regular at Rocco’s for 25 years the pizza is good and so are the garlic knots however the owner and staff are extremely rude and cheap when it comes to giving you anything extra(cups, forks, pizza box) also in the summer their is no air conditioning so take your order to go l, it will be cooler outside lol

Whole large pizza. Average Brooklyn neighborhood pizza. It satisfies when I am unwilling to make a trip to get a great pizza. Price is also average. Credits cards OK for orders of $ 15.00 or more. May have liked it a little bit more cooked but it was all right.

The pizza is painfully average, and that’s being kind.(I really should’ve given them two stars… maybe I’m hoping they’ll improve.) It’s sad because there was a pizza place there in the 80’s that was sooo good.

Their pizza is good! There is a nice, active atmosphere, and nice and warm in the winter. I just sometimes get different prices on their pizza depending on who is at the register at that moment… That’s a bit frustrating. Also I feel as if their slices are not that… Big? They seem a bit small, I mean it tastes great, but… The fact that they make their slices small as well as their random pricing prompts me to give them.

Went there to get two pepperoni slices for my son. The had premise slices that had more cheese on them. My son tasted those before and did not like them, so I asked them to make 2 two regular slices with pepperoni and I think Gumba behind the counter tells me no and that I can only get the ones he made. This place does give a shit about its patrons. Hoping the tower project goes ahead and that place gets demolished.

I grew up coming to Rocco’s for over 30 years. They might have been the first pizza I have ever had and their taste has not changed. They make the traditional Brooklyn pizza pies with all assortments of toppings. They have a large selection of appetizers, entrees, and drinks. They have a large seating area and their restaurant is always full of patrons. Thanks for the introduction of one of my favorite foods if all time.

Overly priced food and it isnt even really that good to begin with. Location is all that keeps this place busy. If you want a good slice of pizza by some real italians venture out to bensonhurst or staten island.

I’ve been going here for years. After eating pizza in different cities, states, and countries, I always know that no matter how long I’m gone away from Brooklyn this little pizza joint will continue to make delicious slices and calzones.

This is the second time this place has messed up my delivery order. The first time, I ordered a calzone and it showed up without any marinara sauce. I called to ask what the deal was and their response was«you have to ASK for marinara sauce.» Um… what!?! Never in my life have I ordered a calzone and had to ask for marinara sauce. That’s like being delivered white pizza because you didn’t ASK for sauce on it. Complete and total bull sh*t. Now, I ordered a cold salami hero, which is described on their grubhub menu as «salami, provolone cheese, lettuce, and tomato». I was delivered salami and melted cheese slapped on a roll. The employees are careless, lazy, and unapologetic. Never ordering from Rocco’s again.

A very decent slice in a neighborhood with few pizza options(though Totonno’s is not too far). A good New York slice done right by an Italian dude with an accent(how many of those are still around?). I was annoyed that he wouldn’t sell fewer than 5 garlic knots(how many people need 5 giant knots for themselves?), but other than that, no gripes.

This is my neighborhood pizza joint, it makes some seriously good pie, and some of the best sicilian pizza in brooklyn, crunchy, thick baked with a slightly almost fried quality just the right amount of sauce and cheese, I could eat it almost everyday when I’m in a pizza mood, they also make a great white pie, and really good veal parmigiana, i only wish they made a sausage roll, The only downside closed most sundays, and no deserts The restaurant is handicapped accessible, but no handicapped accessible restrooms

I’ve been going to this Pizzeria since I was 5 years old and the pizza now is just as great now as it was then! Its a nice family owned resturant and the owners and workers there are extremely friendly. I highly reccomend comming here for some good ol’ fashioned Pizza. P. S. their garlic nuts are DABOMB!
