You get to Rockaway and see the outside and you think OMG. junk city. but what you get is nice service, well cleaned and serviced used AND furniture at really great prices. I am going back for my 2nd look @ stuff today, They have 3 stores. stuff is kind of piled up, but they do have alot, from your really nice antiquey stuff, to well lets just say if you are into late 80s Bensonhurst. you got it. if you like Ghetto Fabulous. you got it. if you want a nice normal place. you got that too… just takes some looking. Izzac is a great guy and a great sales man. they will also deliver your furniture(free) same day if you want it. He’s not too pushy(which is what I like). They will also assemble the tricky items as well. They close @ 6pm so if you have rough hours come on lunch or the weekend, its a little bit of a sketchy part of town.(hence them closing so early. hey its East New York what do you want???)… I’m just warning you all from hipsterville… it aint Bushwick. Anyway! If you are looking for 2nd hand furniture and are sick of the craigslist bullshit, I’d check these guys out. UPDATE! Went back the 2nd day and got my beautiful chocolate brown ARMCHAIR microfiber velvety couch(all cleaned up and dust free) — that the disassembled and reassembled for the delivery for me, a great looking coffee table set, grey and sort of stippled white cast iron and glass topped — AWESOMELOOKING, the great find is the antique kitchen to dining room table for 2– or 4 or 6 or 8. it folds. its like your grandma’s table and our kitchen is like grandma’s kitchen. in fact our apartment is like Grandma’s apartment(seriously). so I have it decorated like well its sort of trippy save the kitchen!!! The drumroll? The whole thing came out to 650 with delivery ! The delivery guys were really nice, professional guys who did their job. and deserved their tip.
