Business Owner

Dr. Ronald Mizrahi completed his undergraduate studies at Adelphi University before moving on to the State University of New York at Stony Brook to earn his D.D.S. He completed his general practice residency with Booth Memorial Medical Center and returned to SUNY at StonyBrook for orthodontics.

In practice for over 18 years, Dr. Mizrahi stays abreast of the latest technological advances in his field through active memberships in the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, Academy of General Dentistry, Dental Society of New York and the Northeast Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Mizrahi is an active member of the Cleft Palate team at Staten Island University hospital. He also finds time to educate the public through lectures on Invisalign® and Distraction Osteogenesis.

Dr. Mizrahi and his wife, Sarah, have five children: Julie, Isaac, Jack, Sylvia and Raquel. In his spare time, he enjoys boating, fly-​fishing, football and golf.

A moneymaking machine. They care about making as much as possible, unfortunately at the expense of the patient. They wanted to charge us more for work that was to be included in original price. Lots and lots of excuses as to why they need to charge you more money.

This is a poorly run office. We paid for a braces package and at the conclusion of the adjustments to the braces a few years later a permanent retainer was installed. We were instructed to keep the retainer for 2 – 3 years and contact the office later for removal. When we contacted years later we were told we would have to pay again even though we had already paid for the services which include removal of the retainer. Asked to speak to the doctor and was promised a call back. Dr. Mizrahi is still searching for time to call us back as it has been 3 weeks and no call back.
Revenue generation seems to be the primary priority. Maintaining quality Patient care and good service should be the first priority of any physician!

Just got back from my visit with dr. Mizrahi and I couldnt be happier. Dr Mizrahi and his office staff are top notch. He wasnt pushy at all and explained all of the options to me. More importantly he LISTENED to my concerns about my son and put me at ease. He explained that my son needed work and explained how this would help his current symprtoms.
I agreed to this office doing both phases of my 8 year olds oral work for several reasons, as mentioned above. But also, there is a mother daughter team that works at the office that are incredible. The woman that did the impressions for my son was amazing. She calmed him down and didnt rush. She told him what he would feel and reminded him to breathe through his nose or ears. LOL He found that hysterical. We had a not so pleasant experience with impressions at the other office that we decided to leave for dr Mizrahi! Natasha was amazing and she had my other two children 10 and 5 wishing they were next! Her expertise and her daughters knowledge of the money/​payment aspect was encouraging and made me feel confident about my decision. Oh and the gentlman at the front desk was kind enough to squeeze my ten year old in as well for a consultation.
Overall a great experience! Looking forward taking my 8 year old back for his appliance installation. Hope the rest of our experience is just as good.

I had the best experience I could have ever hoped for at Mizrahi Orthodontics. Really.
Dr. Mizrahi and Dr. Hannon know what they’re doing and have great personalities to boot; staff is very friendly; and the office is neat, clean and modern (it’s probably the cleanest doctor’s office I’ve ever been in). The office is run professionally, which is a huge plus in my book.
Most importantly, as a 30-​something-​year-​old patient who wore braces for a year and a half … man, my teeth look absolutely fantastic! The experience was worth every penny, and I’m a VERY SATISFIED PATIENT who would highly recommend Mizrahi Orthodontics.
I’m so glad I didn’t go anywhere else. Thanks so much, Dr. Mizrahi and Dr. Hannon! You guys ARE THE BEST. Woot!

We drive from Staten Island to see Dr. Mizrahi. Our dentist recommended him as we asked for the BEST orthodontist and that is exactly what he is. First impressions really do count. The building is clean and his office is immaculate. The staff greet their patients with kindness and warmth — from the receptionists, to the office manager as well as all the assistants and his associate.
The first time we visited the office was to see if my daughter was ready for braces. At that time she was not. Dr. Mizrahi said she wasn’t ready and to come back next year. There was no fee. When we returned the following year and she was ready, they informed me of the prices, insurance info and the whole process. They explained that I would only be billed if we decided to proceed with his orthodontic plan and of course we proceeded because we loved him!
The day the braces were put on, Dr. Mizrahi personally called to see how my daughter was doing. It doesn’t get any better than that! In addition, within a month or two, her teeth started to straighten out. Even through the braces, friends and family were noticing.
Each office visit is quick with little or no wait time. It’s like a well oiled machine. If you should be waiting for more than 5 minutes, there are video games for the kids to play. The assistants are very friendly and always remind and demonstrate good brushing techniques at each visit. What more can you ask for!!!
I am confident that when the braces are removed, my daughter’s teeth will look amazing!
I highly recommend Dr. Mizrahi! Whether you live in the neighborhood or journey from another place, it is well worth it!!!

I just moved to NY and I lost my retainer. When I called this orthodontist office to make an appointment for a replacement retainer, the receptionist (named Cat??) told me that I would have to pay $ 150 to come to the office to get fitted for a retainer and that my replacement retainer could cost me $ 350 or $ 500. I am so confused as to why a retainer that normally cost $ 250 would cost me up to $ 650 at this orthodontist office???
I hope my experience was just a case of a receptionist being ill informed.
