So this sushi place is not a four star location. I’d say more like 2.5 stars. My husband and I ordered a total of four rolls and sashimi, we payed about 63 bucks. Not worth it. The waitstaff was nice. I can’t complain there. The table was sticky, I didn’t wanna put my arms/hands on it. I ordered the soft shell crab and spicy salmon roll. They were bland. Not worth the money or calories. My husbands rolls were about the same. Perhaps one roll was tasty. The look of the rolls was deceiving because they only«looked» nice but lacked in taste. I feel deceived by the other Unilocalers giving this place 4 stars. :/ I don’t I’d ever come back again. I should have gone to the chicken or taco joint across the street.

Ordered for the first time with my husband. And it will be our LAST. My husband had black hair across his sushi rolls. None of us have black hair. It was so gross. So i did the pleasure of calling them and asking for them to return with our money because we could not eat this hairy sushi. She offered to make us a new one! I obviously said no. So then a few minutes later they came n gave us our money back(at least they did that) yuck !

I love coming here not just for the food, but for the service and atmosphere. The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. It’s never too noisy so it’s very easy to concentrate on work or have a small conversation at your table. The food is good — not excellent, but good — and the location is very convenient. Though the restaurant is small, you never feel overcrowded, even when every table is filled. Delivery is fast, too. I recommend the vegetable dumplings and spicy crunch kani roll.

Still wonderful after all these years and that says a lot. Fresh and delicious and the most friendly service. Yummy food and great service. What every restaurant should strive for and Samurai achieves it perfectly! Go here and order the Okinawa and Yellowtail with Jalapeño!

For a quiet neighborhood like this, this place has exquisite sushi. They have dishes that are very creative and different than your typical takeout sushi fare. It’s not a discount sushi place, so I only go once in a while, but it’s not particularly expensive either. It’s small and cozy, but the atmosphere is nice and the staff very very friendly. It’s also very clean. We tried quite a few different things and most were very good. My wife stole their miso eggplant recipe and made it the next day at home.

It’s across the street from my mani/pedi place«Candy’s»(don’t laugh), passed by it for years… Thought I’d give it a try: For a little place in Bath Beach Brooklyn, It’s great. Cozy atmosphere, clean, excellent service… And pretty good sushi! I ordered the avocado salad, Godzilla roll, Alligator roll, and The Lollipop roll. The ingredients were fresh and it was delicious. The place is a little small and it is crowded at dinner hours, but after 9 — 9:30PM, it’s a great little cozy place… And they’re open till 11:30PM! This is a great late night sushi hotspot… Give it a try!

Love this spot! One of the better sushi spots in Brooklyn. The fish is always really fresh. Their spicy mayo is different from other places has a sweet/honey taste to it which I love. The sushi pizza is also amazing!

Small place, so don’t bring large groups(unless you can reserve the whole place)! Portions are pretty small for the special rolls, but they have good shrimp tempura(comes with veggie tempura too). Fried oysters come in four pieces.

I went here for Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend and it could not have been more perfect. The gyoza appetizer was excellent! The steak hibachi was awesome! Our waitress was very attentive to us and very polite. The soft jazz music along with the candlelit setting was more than anyone could ask for.

Typical Brooklyn Sushi trap. Ordered Salmon/Avocado rolls and kept it simple. Needless to say… not as fresh as advertised or as most of these reviews point out. There was a strange taste to the salmon sushi which I couldn’t get myself to consume. Really bad.

Great service but subpar sushi. The pizza was all mush on burnt thin crust that are like burnt dough paper. Decent agedashi tofu. Tempura Ice cream was all ice. Wished the taco spot across the street was open!

Wow tonight was a perfect night for sushi. My best friend and I are watching the debate and what couldn’t be any better for that, SUSHI. For starters I’ve been ordering from this place for years and will continue to do so ESP after tonight’s perfect rolls. I am a sushi lover so to me sushi sucks when it sucks, this was perfect. We got a dancing Kani roll & a dragon roll. PERFECTTTT. It was as if they just got the sushi in. Like I said before I am a sushi lover, so I don’t care what any one says sushi take out is nothing like getting it fresh served to you. Tonight was the perfect night. Thank you Samurai you have served your best service possible. :)

Told me 30mins for them to deliver, took them 1hr. My rolls didnt seem fresh. Seems a little pricier than other sushi restaurants in the area. Not sure if it’s all in my head, but I’m already feeling a little ill. I feel so stupid for ordering and for eating it. I should have just stuck to Ichi Sushi :(

First time and last time! Disgusting garbage! Check out my pics of what they gave me. At least they gave me my money back. Never had to do this ever. The worst rolls ever and a rotten salad. Close the doors before you get someone sick !

My favorite sushi spot in Bensonhurst, which is saying a lot considering the majority of Bensonhurst consists of sushi spots. Seriously, it’s hard NOT to find a sushi spot here. But I digress. Freshest fish I’ve ever had. Really nice, calming atmosphere, good tunes, sweet waitresses. My mouth is watering just thinking about the Salmon rolls… I haven’t tried the special rolls here yet but I’m sure they’re out of this world, too. Whenever I work from home on a Friday, I go here for my lunch spot. Fast service, great lunch special — what more can you want? Oh man, can I go here for lunch today? I think I just might.

I came here to get the beef bento box. It was a lot of food for me to consume. Also, they put straw mushrooms in their miso soup which I like. The price was also reasonable.

Very delicious food with no wait time required! The inside atmosphere is quite outstanding because of the Japanese-inspired decorations. It does bring a certain mood to the restaurant itself. The hostess was very kind and the waitress was very pleasant. You may choose to either go to the back and order food to take-out or you can wait by the door and wait for the hostess to sit you to a table, a very clever method in my opinion. The salad that they give as a starter is very fresh and tasty. I had to ask what the orange sauce was because it was very unique and delicious. For an entrée, i ordered chicken teriyaki plate(only Japanese food I’m currently familiar with) and some sushi. The food took some time to come but it was very hot and fresh off the grill. The rolls were fresh and made by the sushi chef(often seen at the window by the take-out counter.) I chose to order the California rolls, Philadelphia rolls, and I tried the Starwberry-Mango rolls for the first time(very delicious!) It was in this restaurant that I tried Mochi ice cream for the first time. I was looking at the dessert menu and decided to try some with fried ice cream. Both were very satisfying and now Mochi is considered my favorite dessert! Being a bit hidden away, it’s hard to spot this place. But it’s a short walk from the D train and from the B1 and B8. Definitely check this place out!

Had a light dinner and it was excellent. We really enjoyed the shrimp and chicken tempura rolls, along with the volcano, tiger, and the fire house rolls. They were all very good. I will keep this place in mind when I’m in the area.

Came here on a Saturday with my GF after wanting to try some place new for sushi. What a disappointment. The service was great but the sushi and sashimi was left much to be desired. We got the salmon lovers and the sushi deluxe. All the fish tasted the same, bland tasteless and rubbery. Needless to say I will not be coming back here again.

I loved the sushi here! My girlfriend is Japanese and live in Japan to tell a difference of sushi(believe me, there is a difference) she told me the taste was extremely fresh and flavorful, it felt a little close to home. I thought the same, our order was 1 yellowtail scallion roll, 1 California roll, 1 avocado roll, 1 shrimp avocado roll, 1 tuna avocado roll and 1 cucumber roll(highly suggest this as a great flavor savor). All total for about $ 20.00 Everything was delicious, the only thing I wouldn’t rate 5 stars is their build or at least from my order of the rolls, there wasn’t a full rotation of seaweed wrap, it’s really not something to drop a star about but the matter is, is that the roll kept opening up not all were like that though, but most were. Anyways if you really want some good tasty sushi give this place a chance. It’s worth the money.
