So good fresh pasta, love it, love it, love it. I don’t know why more people don’t come here. Everything is very fresh and so reasonable with the prices.

Each handmade pasta and ravioli variety is worth trying. The owners are very sweet and you can tell that they put care into their product. I recommend the portobello ravioli, squid ink pasta and vodka sauce. You can freeze fresh pasta if you don’t plan on cooking it right away.

I got a box of the lobster, pumpkin, artichoke and spinach for $ 35 bucks! The lobster contains 12 large ravoilis and 30 small ones for each of the rest. The lobster was everyone’s favorite, «OMG Megan, it’s SO good, it’s as if there’s a whole lobster in there.» I guess it’s safe to presume that they don’t skimp on zee lobster. The pumpkin and spinach were my favorites.
These bad boys/​girls are easy to make. If I can succeed, anyone can. Just boil water and plop them in for 8 – 10 mins and whala, a happy belly.
The lady who rang me up was a sweetheart. Gotta love elderly people who are as sweet as pie even if they’re doing it to get my hard earned cash monies. I kid, she seemed genuinely sweet =].

Excellent freshly made pasta. The ravioli is fantastic, made fresh daily and at a great price. A no nonsense place that does what it does excellently. It’s not trying to be something its not and there is not an ounce of pretentiousness in the place. Just great pasta made with care by people who care about putting out a great product.

If you’re still buying your pasta at C Town you’re missing out. The ravioli is DELICIOUS. And very reasonably priced. They have pumpkin, spinach, artichoke, and red pepper as well as papparadelle (cut fresh!), and homemade vodka sauce which is to die for. They also have an assortment of other Italian treats. I’ve never seen pasta cut fresh so that was a bonus. I’ll definitely be back for more.

This is some of the best pasta I’ve had. Everything I’ve tried from them is top notch. The lobster ravioli is sensational (probably because they use REAL lobster instead of imitation). The prices are great too. Please note this is NOT a restaurant, just a store front.

today I have a dinner and I really wanted to cook the pasta for 2 reasons
1. Is Delicious and everybody loves it and is amazed by it.
2. It’s the best cooking solution when you don’t have so much time for cooking but still you want to do some good home made dish for your guest.
I’ve call them to know if they would wait for me for a couple of minutes, since they close at 6pm and I was afraid I will be late for only a couple of minutes. They told me they were about to close already because they had to close earlier today, but that anyway they will wait for me.
I run as much as I could, I arrived at 6.05 considering they where closing at 6.45 they wait for me 20min. Who is doing this nowadays in NY? nobody!

The homemade pumpkin ravoli is AMAZING, and its only $ 6 for 12 large raviolis.
This is the most wonderful comfort food, for so much cheaper than a restaurant.

This place is an amazing gem hidden on the side streets of Williamsburg.
When you walk in there are cases of so many different raviolis and fresh cut pasta. The day I went, my boyfriend and I really wanted some spaghetti and didn’t see it in the cases. All we did was ask and the man went in the back and cut fresh sheets of pasta into spaghetti for us. Yesterday when I went and it was pretty empty in there, I asked the owner if it would be ok if i came in the back and watched her cut the pasta and she let me and talked to me about the shop. A wonderful experience!
But most importantly, the pasta is AWESOME! I made it with a home made marinara the other day and let the pasta finish cooking in a little but of sauce and it really soaked up the sauce. It cooked to a beautiful consistency and you can really tell the difference between fresh pasta and the kind in the box.

So… I wanted fresh Italian, but didn’t really want to go to a restaurant and the boy knows how to make fresh red sauce… so why not just pick up some pasta… I saw that this place was right around the corner from my house. How did I not know this? Insanity!
I didn’t know what to get and I didn’t want to seem completely clueless… and I apparently have issues saying no to gnocchi (which is still sitting in my fridge right now, but to be eaten as soon as I get home and make fresh pesto sauce). I also got some parpadelle, which are really wide noodles (like chow fun, but Italian). I made some of the said red sauce. It was so delicious and didn’t take so long to cook. I’m go fresh pasta from now on… and it’s a perfect stop before making it home… Super nice people, lots of options and soooo ridiculously affordable.
Some person could make quite the romantical dinner for their significant other or date with this pasta (it would be impressive… just sayin’).

Savino’s Quality Pizza, in a quiet piece of real estate surrounded by apartment buildings these guys are churning out home made ravioli and sauce. Get here EARLY, and I mean EARLY. I came here in the afternoon on a weekend around 2:00 and lots of stuff was already sold out. Their prices are pretty fantastic for 2 boxes of 30 ravioli you’re talking $ 14.00 or so which for me equated to 6 servings. Definitely if you’re looking for some fresh, delicious, pasta to make at home and save yourself the $ 20 you would pay at a restaurant, Savino’s is where it’s at.

Granted, I’ve only tried it once (yesterday), but… best Valentine’s dinner I’ve ever had. No lie. For $ 7 I got two bags of regular gnocchi, and followed the cooking instructions from Caroline L.‘s review (see below). I was prepared for it to be good, but… this was heart-​stoppingly delicious! My fiancé and I ate most of it and went into a deep, but happy, food coma.
I will be back to try pretty much anything else! So very glad for this discovery. (And seriously — Caroline L.‘s recipe is spot-​on… try it. Your taste buds really WILL explode from happiness.)

This place has been bookmarked for 10 long months! My family is a big beautiful blend of Italians and Puerto Ricans. Sometimes we want arroz and others, we want fresh pasta.
For Christmas, we decided to get fresh ravioli to go with our homemade marinara sauce (wepa). My mom and I headed over to Savino’s and when we looked around the owner could smell our curiosity. Asked if it was our first time here. we said yes and were handed a spoonful of fresh ricotta cheese.
Yes, that did it.
4 boxes of beautiful round cheese filled ravioli’s later, we were home cooking up some tasty pasta.
Granny is funny. She buys fresh pasta… not frozen, then takes home the fresh pasta and freezes it.

we kept our pasta in the fridge for one day. And on Christmas day we cooked them up with some sausage, lamb neck, and giant meatballs.
We allowed our pasta to cook for 6 short minutes and they were al dente and perfect.
I recommend letting them cool before eating as they tend to taste like nothing if you eat them piping hot. A little time for the ricotta inside to get its act togheter and the ravioli is addicting!

So good. And pretty cheap too. We can’t wait to try more options. Their vodka sauce is REALLY tasty.

Amazing pasta at amazing prices!
We got:
–1 pound of pappardelle, cut while we waited (they also cut to other thicknesses… fetuccine, spaghetti, all the way down to angel hair!)
–1 package gnocchi
–30 porcini ravioli
–12 lobster ravioli (these were meaty monsters)
Perfectly al dente as long as you don’t overcook it… wow. We paired the pappardelle with a homemade Italian sausage tomato sauce, and the other stuff with butter-​sage sauce… incredible. After discovering this place, we realized we could make restaurant-​quality food at home at a fraction of the price, which has actually made us less inclined to go out for Italian.
Plus they’re really nice! Absolutely worth the trek out from Manhattan!

If you want to save some dough, buy some dough here. Seriously, fantastic value abounds.
Come early in the day for the best variety of fresh pastas, and of course, make sure to take home at least one tray (12 pieces) of fresh ravioli.
For about $ 4 you will receive enough pasta for at least 2 dinners, or one dinner for 2, and the quality can not be beat. These guys sell to the local restaurants who turn around and sell it to patrons at $ 15−20/plate, easy.
Its a good idea to make food at home sometimes, right? Might as well do it in style.

Do you ever order ravioli at restaurants? Me neither. But my girlfriend does. And without fail, we’ll end up paying ~$ 15 for ~5 small pieces. Buying pasta from Savino has convinced me of what I’ve always suspected: we’re getting screwed.
Let me explain.
I walked in around 7 pm. The door was open, but according to the man and woman behind the counter, they had been closed for over an hour. Disappointed, I turned to leave. But they laughed, and brushed off my apologies. They insisted that if I needed some pasta, to just pick it out. I didn’t want to piss them off by being my usual, indecisive self, so I quickly grabbed a box of the pumpkin ravioli, knowing my girlfriend would love it.*
When I handed it to the woman, and she relayed the price of $ 6, I was SHOCKED. I almost hugged her. It’s a sad state of affairs in this city, but I often expect to get price gouged. And $ 6 is a DAMN good price for 30 delicious, homemade ravioli.
Do yourself (and anyone you cook for) a favor, and buy your pasta at Savino. It’s wonderfully tasty, affordable, and they’ll actually serve you with a smile.
