One of the better Chinese bakeries in the area and has been around for over 5-years. The place is very popular with both the Asian and South American community. They bake their stuff on premise. They have the standard Chinese baked goods and bubble tea. I stop by often because the subway entrance is right next to the bakery.

It’s a cute little shop, and people seem to like their coffee a lot. I’ve never had it, but the two things I did try, a chocolate cake and a cheesecake, were both very try and not that great. Maybe I just got the wrong this, or I’m super picky when it comes to pastries but it wasn’t my favorite. It was cheap though!

I like the ice coffee here because they use condensed milk instead of half & half as a creamer. However there is a limited variety of pastry compare to other Chinese bakeries. The roast pork bun is great and I get one every day. I hope they’ll be a greater amount of variety in the future.

Their money coffee can be smelled from the street. Always fresh and the breads are always warm and fresh. Decent prices and clean.

I just care for a few things in this damn world. My tank tops. My man bun. My beats. My gals. My bros. My pecs. And a hot cup of joe as well as a warm cream cheese bun. Their joe is so strong it makes me look weak. And that’s tough.(Just like me.) Now think on a girl with a butt so round it makes you cry. Her buns are near as good as these cream cheese buns. Plus you can eat these: Crisp bread holds a sweet plop of cream cheese. Roll up with cash in hand. Those girls that serve you do not have time for your games. I know as once I spit game at one and she just said, «Next please?» I cried that night. They are harsh.

Just learned today that this location is UNDERNEWMANAGEMENT. :( They changed the name from Savoy to WAVOY!!! Everything seems ok for now, but we’ll see how it goes. Otherwise, I’ll start going to the real SAVOY at 39th Street and 9th Avenue location, which I understand is still under the same old management — my favorite manager, Lindy, moved over there!

Bubble tea for cheap. That’s what got me in.(Word to the wise though– the lychee flavor is SWEET.) Also had the jello cake and another fruit pastry from here. Good– not too sweet, nice presentation, fair price. Will be back again when I want more bubble tea!

Cute little neighborhood spot in Sunset Park. Lots of teas, smoothies and bubble milk teas. They seem to make the boba fresh. As I was getting there around 10 a.m. their daily batch was ready. The almond milk tea was good-not too sweet with the distinct almond taste coming through. They also featured an array sweet buns, pastries and savory baked goods as well. Cash only but cheap and decent quality.

Ohhhhhh, Savoy Bakery. I straight up adore these ladies. Being as it’s right at the end of my street, I’m there almost every day for a coffee or a «ham and egg» sandwich. Ok, I won’t lie… the«food» here: any sandwich with meat, is not that good. I normally take them home and heat them up! Then they’re decent. Once you know and expect that, it’s game on. I haven’t really ever had their sweets so I can’t comment on those. And I’m not a tea guy. The coffee is surprisingly good and cheap! And the ladies behind the counter are ONPOINT. They get it done, and fast!

BESTMILKTEAEVER!!! They make the best best best best milk tea. I’ve been to over 50 chinese bakeries in my life and this one wins. It’s super addicting. Once you’ve had it here, you wouldn’t want it from anywhere else. Seriously. They have a limited food selection. They don’t have any noodles, dimsum or steamed buns. They only have baked buns. Their buns here are always super fresh and warm. It’s never cold… I recommend their roast pork buns.

They have the greatest milk tea. Hot or cold it’s always good. Next time I want to try their bubble teas. They are always quick and helpful. Their pork buns are good too.

came here after brunch just to get some drinks. I got a hot milk tea $ 1 and my bf got a cold milk tea $ 2.25. I think it’s ok but a little too sweet. I like the bakeries better by the ave u area

Great coffee. Amazing croissants and pastries. Love the chocolate and mocha logs. They travel well and are a good complement for desert. Their no crust white bread sandwiches make great snacks. Freshly made and light. Have tried their elephant ears and the mille foille. I do recommend their Vietnamese style sandwiches too. The pulled pork one is my favorite. This location has tables, you can sit and relax for a bit. The sister location on 39th and 9th has only a bar by the window. Try the mini muffins. They are addictive.

A summary of the conversation I had here: «How much are the teas?» «$ 2.25″ “Bubble teas, right?» «$ 2.50 for bubbles» «Okay, I’ll take an almond bubble tea.» «Almond is $ 3» I also ordered a black tea with milk and bubbles, and received just a black tea. Oh well. Also, the $ 3 almond tasted as artificial as could be.

I usually have coffee there 5 – 6 times a week. Nothin like hot coffee from Chinese bakery. Yellow bun with coconut and mango cake is a must try!

Love to get my morning coffee here – very efficient. There can be three people ahead of me when I walk in and they’ll attend me within seconds. I also enjoy the raisin bread for $ 1, very tasty. Hot coffee– Small $ 1 Medium $ 1.75 Iced coffee– One size only $ 2.25 Very fast and cheap for coffee and bread just wouldn’t buy a cake for an occasion again – strange«fruits» and flavor.

Having lived right on 45th street for several years, Savoy was my go-to spot for coffee before heading down to the subway. I cant speak much on the pastries because I usually only got their coffee which is outstanding. The hot coffee only comes in small and large. The small is quite small and the large is usually too much for me to finish. Also, unless you specify, they will assume you want your coffee light and sweet. Same goes for the iced coffee. I believe it only comes in one standard size and its also sealed with a strange plastic top that you need to stab with the straw in order to access your coffee. You must be quick and accurate enough to break the lid without spilling coffee all over yourself. It’s pretty much a skill I’ve acquired and am very proud of. The ladies that work there are kind of mean and impersonal but I’m just there to get my coffee and bounce so I don’t really care.

I go here almost every morning before getting on the train for work. The location is super convenient(right next to the 45th St. stop) and they have good coffee and yummy sesame balls. However, some of the women that work the counter can be kind of mean. If you don’t have your order ready right away they yell at you. One time I asked for soy milk in my coffee and got yelled at, so be sure to be ready with your order and don’t ask questions!

This spot is just like most bakeries you would find on 8th avenue, but alas this is located on 4th avenue. There is about 4 Chinese bakeries between 36th street and 59th street on 4th avenue. This one is very spacious with a large assortment of my favorite baked goods, which are so many. Just give me one of each. But come summer time my favorite drink is a watermelon smoothie so refreshing and delicious for a hot day. They make a really decent one here so two thumbs up. Great prices and really cheap and yummy baked goods that are not to sweet.
