Bad experience started even before they arrived. Receptionist called at 10:30am to say that the noon appointment cleaning lady was already in my neighborhood, but after waiting half an hour she never showed. Finally, she arrived at noon and said she was in Manhattan.
Started cleaning by heading straight to kitchen and running the faucet for 20 minutes while talking on her cell. I left out the cleaning supplies, but she kept asking where everything was. Low-​lights include not sweeping up some broken glass, not cleaning shower and clogging up toilet.
Lastly, paid for a 4 hour cleaning deal, but she stayed for an hour and a half. Fail.

I wish i had seen these reviews before i booked them… This has literally been the worst experience of my life, dealing with Frazier (?) who seems to run the office was like dealing with the worst nightmare. After having sold us saying they’re premiuim professional cleaning service that runs state of the art cleaning supplies and we can only get the construction dust out by using them for $ 800 because nobody else can clean like them… they came with 1 less person (coudlnt’ even locate 1 maid) with swifter dusters, a couple of sprays, and a vacuume that doesn’t even work (they asked us if they can borrow our vacuum). Didn’t even clean the corners like they were supposed to, didn’t even clean inside A/​C unites like they promised, and left the fridge full of water so when we opened it water fell everywhere on the new wooden floor. We called the company many times to complain and got such attitude back saying we’re disturbing their work, we’re being ridiculous complaning so much, and they never once apologized for the UNDERDELIVERING and i don’t think i can even ask for refund as i don’t even want to bother talking to any of these people. IT IS THE WORST NIGHTMARE like everyone says DO NOT EVER GET NEAR THEM

I wish I could say minus stars. My profile picture is an example of Shield cleaning services doing your laundry. So where do I start… I called the woman on the phone was okay not nice not angry or rude just okay. They said the woman would be here at 1 PM. At 1:30 I called and asked where she was the woman said she is there already. I said oh well I am home and no she is not here. She said I just go off the phone with her and she is there. Needless to say she then called me back and stated she was on her way and would be here in a few minutes. Upon arrival she asked what she should do? I said ahh clean??? And do the laundry? I noted that in my request she said where would you like me to start. I was thinking okay if I have to tell you what to do first this is going to be a very long day.
SOO she decides to start with the laundry. I said I separated the laundry into whites, light colored, dark and towels. Easy enough right… wrong!!! She put the laundry in the washer machine and then POURED the products over the clothing… Including BLEACH within every load. Then came upstairs when it was turned over to the dryer and said I don’t know what happened but some bleach got on some of the clothes. Nothing to worry about its not a lot and one piece is a sweatshirt jacket it looks like. YEP that would be a Cabi jacket worth $ 100.00 but no worries its nothing she said… UMM so then she proceeds to ask what should I do now. I said well did you clean anything she said no I said lets start with cleaning then. After each completion she would need to be directed to the next. Her Mother called at least 3 times asking when she would be leaving and if she was safe.
Here is the best part of my short version I wrote an email with pictures of the clothing that was ruined. I had to call twice to follow up on the complaint. When I spoke to Lawrence who identified himself as the President he said how was the overall cleaning when completed. I said it was okay but the laundry is unacceptable. Hiring a company and having to direct on what to do next is not acceptable. He said you just said she did a good job cleaning so do not try to tarnish our reputation. We will cover 15% of what was damaged if you can prove they were purchased in the last 6 months and have the receipts. Lawrence refused to provide his last name or who their insurance coverage was with. He would not put it through insurance unless after his review it was worth it. He also stated that because I separated the laundry I should take some responsibility. I stated because I separated the laundry then it should not have been damaged with bleach. Who pours bleach on light, dark and colored towels. He said our service does that is the proper way.
Needless to say I would not recommend this service to anyone even if their service was free! It will cost you hundreds in the end in damage! Better Business has been notified

I don’t even know to begin with this one. If you are reading this after making an appointment that has yet to happen, CANCEL NOW.
Their excessively high prices made me naively believe that they would do an excessively better job than the average cleaner, as I needed detailed work done in a vacant apartment. However, I had an inconceivably awful experience that resulted in being summoned to SMALL CLAIMS COURT, after I contested a credit card charge that I never authorized and was unable to remedy with Shield, after numerous voicemails and emails demanding a full refund not only because the charge was unauthorized, but because the work they were hired to do was never actually done. I was quoted one price and charged another, higher price, before the actual appointment! I was not aware of this until I reviewed my credit card statement several days after the appointment. I was told that providing a credit card number up front was simply the way they conduct business, and doing so was the only way to schedule an appointment. I had no issue with this policy, after being reassured that the company had experience in removing paint from hardwood floors (not so for many other cleaning companies), which is exactly why I hired them.
As if the price discrepancy and pre-​appointment charge weren’t bad enough, they didn’t actually do the job they were hired to do. They have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, but I guess that’s more of a website expression than an actual business practice. Nevermind the fact that this «professional» and «experienced» cleaning company showed up nearly 2 hours late, and did not do the job I specifically hired them to do, they were unable to competently draft a simple, boiler plate insurance document required by the building prior to their arrival, which makes me wonder how much «experience» this company actually had. While less important than the actual lack of work they did, their customer service was terrible, and I was told that I was «agitating» the cleaner, since I called the main number several times to find out why no one arrived after a half hour, after an hour, after an hour and a half, etc. When someone finally arrived, I had to leave for work and left the cleaner unsupervised in the apartment. Unsupervised resulted in a minimal amount of work and nothing being done to the floors.
Despite this frustrating, time wasting experience, and despite having to hire a different cleaner to do the job that Shield was too incompetent to do (to Shield’s credit, they vacuumed dust bunnies and cleaned 3 toilets. No doubt an entire 20 minutes of «work,» yet the cleaner was in the apartment for almost 3 hours), I guess I can thank Shield Cleaning, Inc. for introducing me to the amusing horrors of night court in downtown Brooklyn. The whole experience, while a complete waste of time and money, was a once-​in-​a-​lifetime introduction to the lowest common denominators of human life. There were 2 «representatives» from Shield, one holding a manila folder entitled «small claims court,» filled almost to capacity, which contained various email exchanges between myself and Shield, and which also contained documents related to another customer who received a summons from Shield, and was in court the very same night that I was. To make a long story short, I agreed to pay half of the insanely high charge just to avoid having to come back the following month, since the court did not have time for my «case» that night. Luckily (I guess), we were able to speak with one of the clerks – not an actual judge, who settled the dispute. I could go on and on about how ridiculous the whole experience was, and how the 100% satisfaction guarantee (I had the guarantee with me in paper form), was not required to be upheld, and how despite all of the emails that I had with me, the clerk was not interested in seeing any of them, and sided with Shield, in that it was wrong of me to contest the charge because I should have been professional enough to discuss this issue with the company directly. It didn’t matter that the company ignored all of my attempts to discuss my dissatisfaction.
That being said, I will leave you with one quote, the best quote of that night. In challenging my claim that the 100% satisfaction guarantee should be enforced since the job was not actually done, the representative from Shield (who filed the summons under his personal name, and not under the company’s name – a brilliant way to save money on filing fees, but a very sleazy way of filing, and one the clerk was willing to overlook for him), defended his entitlement to payment by stating that «I don’t disagree that the work was done to a ‘bad degree.’ But work was done.» This was compelling enough for the clerk to privately talk me into paying half, just to get this over with. I was very tempted to refuse the «compromise,» but I did not have the luxury of waiting another month and wasting another night to have this «case» revisited.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!
I’m so mad right now I’m shaking… I called Shield Cleaning a week ago and scheduled two cleaning «techs» for 8 hrs (4 hrs each). First of all they were late! Mind you my place was not furnished since i was moving furniture in the next day. I had dirty floors, shelves, bathrooms and appliances… should totally be doable in 8 hrs. The female tech decided she had a doctors appointment 2 hrs into the job and left leaving the other tech to pick up the hours. I payed extra for them to bring their supplies and had to step out 3 TIMES because they didn’t have paper towels, clorox, or a toilet scrubber. Their mops are cheap and leave such gross residue on the floors. One tech even used the toilet water to clean off the mop. I mean R U SERIOUS!!! Long story made short the other tech had to leave before his time was up since he had an exam leaving my place filthy. I was on my hands and knees more then half the time helping him. On top of it the supervisor, Lawrence, had the nerve to give me lip when i called to complain about his 1^st tech leaving early. He told me he was going to come by at 3:30 to give me another assessment (like that would help) and showed up at 5pm. I had left my place already while keeping their vacuum and supplies ransom (until they lower my rate) since the one tech was dumb enough to agree and leave it since he was is such a rush and since Lawrence was supposed to show up «any minute». My place is still dirty! Shame on me for getting them sodas and pizza. seriously the WORST service experience on my life!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Do NOT use this cleaning service.
Everything started off great… I called last minute and this was the only cleaning company that had any same day availability (should have questioned as to why they were the only ones with availability). The gentleman on the phone took my order, told me the rate was $ 99 (with a four hr minimum, after which I guess hourly rate begins), and said that the maid will be at my place at exactly 2PM. This is where the trouble started…
2 o’clock came and went and by 3 I was calling the office. I was told that they’ll try to get in touch with her but b.c. she was so late they’d be ok with me going with the hourly rate rather than the $ 99 rate minimum. No one could get a hold of the maid.
The maid showed up 2.5hrs late… by which point I had already managed to clean the living room, 1 bedroom, and the entire kitchen. She came without supplies (granted that was the agreement for a last minute job) and managed to use up ALL of our new cleaning supplies on a tiny bathroom and a TINY bedroom. Where all my paper towels, bleach, Lysol wipes, swiffer wet towels, etc went I have no idea.
I saw her continuing to rewash the shower over and over to the point where it became blatantly obvious that she was just milking time. When I asked her how soon she’ll be done you could see the worry on her face that I caught her. She finished up the job and then asked for the $ 99. This is where all mayhem broke loose. I spoke with 2 different people who all managed to give me different totals and finally I got the issue resolved after 4 phone calls and ass ripping for days.
So how much did the maid walk away with for a mere 2 hrs of work and a horrible job (including breaking the shower completely and hiding it so that no one would notice until she left) you might ask? $ 75. I had to go through all the rooms and re-​clean everything.
