Sneaker U

My favorite local sneaker store. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. If there is something you’re looking for and its not in stock, know you will find something similar. The owner cares a lot for his customers and always makes sure you’re taken care of. I have been going to this store since I was a child and they have never let me down. You are in good hands!

Defiantly does a good job in customer support compared to «foot action» or «foot locker». They help you pick the perfect shoe to fit your style. They have a huge selection in which you can pick from so no need to worry about a lack of variety. I personally don’t take more than 5 minutes to find something appealing to my eye. They definitely do an excellent job in making sure you leave the store happy :) The employees are really nice not to mention patient when it comes to finding the best size for your foot. I will be coming back to them and would recommend checking them out :)

sneaker virgins and Unilocal community:
i will admit that im not a sneaker head, sneaker junkie, down with the funk of the dunks. i wouldnt drop one month worth of rent on a pair of sneakers. but when you got a sneaker junkie CONSTANTLY telling you that your taste in shoes is crap and that there are more COMFORTABLE shoes out there than a brand that begins with a «C» and ends with «verse»…yeah walking into this place will feel like culture shock – but for shoes. not that i still gave in on my own accord. i «had» to pick a pair of shoes (my attire is limited to black and black-er…maybe blue) for someone else. 20 mins later i got an early birthday gift (which, by the way, was all black sneakers that are insanely comfy and loves my feet the way i love coffee).
the layout of the store is clean and spacious. if you can find a worker that has a second for you then you’ve got it made. the people really know their stuff and were nice enough to make several trips for me. the selection… well. it was colorful to say the least. if you need help in learning what the hype is with sneakers look on the wall… there is poster that explains it… or ask Vince G (not an employee but a fellow Unilocaler).

Definatly a mom and pops store but the customer service is completely on point. They were putting up new stock so i didnt get any help at first but thats because they were busy and then they gave me the help i needed. Got something i wasnt looking for but wanted. Going back to pick up more things from here as soon as i can.

I’m not a big sneaker person but Sneaker U has never failed me at the times I did need sneakers. The customer service is always on par. I was recommended different styles that fit my preference. I chose a pair of Air max’s and I am incredibly pleased with my purchase. It is now the only sneaker I wear and I will keep coming back to this store to get them.

RIP OFF They sell FAKE JORDAN’S!!! Don’t be fooled. The material is thin and they lack the logo on the inside and bottom of the shoe… They act surprise and deny allegations when you confront them about there product… I returned them 5 minute after initially purchasing them once i examined them … it has been a month and i still have not received my refund to my account… Go to a legit place for name brand shoes if you want guaranteed real quality instead of walking around with knock offs !!!

Sneaker U is the quintessential mom-​n-​pop sneaker shop. I’ve been shopping here for over a decade (yes, I have an addition, no, I dont need help). That says something. Customer service is their top priority. I do still frequent the exclusive sneaker shops, but Sneaker U is still my go-​to spot for anything that isn’t limited/​hypebeast. Whether it be GR jordans, airmaxes, roshes, David can definately make sure your feet stay fresh. They also went over a recent renovation which makes the place a lot more inviting and still so hard to not stop by. If you’re in the neighborhood and you don’t stop by, you’re doing yourself a disservice.

very helpful. courteous. if they dont have an item they’ll do their best to get it for you. Staffs are def better than those big chain store with little punks working there… This place will try their best to have you leaving the store very satisfied

After years of buying my sneakers «on line» I decided it was time to go to a sneaker store and get the correct size, type and price. My first stop was the store on Nostrand and Ave I. I quickly remembered why I hadn’t shopped there for years. Nasty, poor service and high prices. Glad I walked out empty handed.
I went to my I phone and found Sneaker U. I must have passed this place for years. I walked in and I was instantly greeted by a good salesperson. She made suggestions and then called David out from the back room to measure me and discuss the details of the sneakers and my walking-​jogging routine. He immediately got me sized and into a great feeling Nike shoe. He explained why these were the best choice for me. He did not try to sell me the most expensive pair. He sincerely wanted me to have the right fit. The price was same or better than most Internet sneaker retailers. I didn’t have to wait for delivery.
I just finished a quick 4 mile walk in Marine Park. My feet feel great. Not sore, not aching as they were before.
In a time when the «Local guys» are struggling to compete with the large chain stores and Internet, this store, its selection, prices and most important SERVICE are the winners. Good job!

BEST PLACE in TOWN!!!

Walk the 1.5 mile strip of Avenue U in the Sheepshead Bay area and you will find one and only one sneaker retailer center. That happens to be Sneaker U.
The petite 400 sq. ft. retailer section of the store front boasts over 600 selection of shoes from top brands ranging from Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Timberland, New Balance, etc…
I dropped by this establishment yesterday as I needed to acquire a pair of black Timberlands in a 5.5 size. After immediate inquiry, I was informed that the establishment did not carry the shoe so desired. Luckily, the owner had stated that he was willing to put in a special request for the boot and would be available in 1 week’s time. I requested to leave a deposit or a name, but this was not required. Talk about taking a person for their word.
Needless to say, excellent customer service is not to be taken lightly. The extra steps taken by the owners at Sneaker U will deem favorable as I return to this establishment for my next sneaker purchase.
